Episode 20

Vicky: What are you doing here, Mr. Pierini?

Max: I'm sorry to bother you, but I came to look for Matheo. He called me saying he needed to see me and mentioned that he felt sick last night, had a fever, and his nightmares have returned.

I was stunned by the information Maximiliano just gave me. How was that possible when Matheo was perfectly fine last night, and he was also at his best friend's house? Something tells me Matheo is up to one of his mischiefs.

Vicky: Well, I don't know where you got that from, but one thing I'm sure of is that Matheo is in perfect health.

Max: Can I come in? Please don't lie to me, I know it's true. Otherwise, the boy wouldn't have called me, telling me he missed me so much. Tell me the truth, where is he?

Vicky: I don't doubt that the boy misses you because it's true. But what I am sure of is that Matheo hasn't had any complications. Fine, come in! Matheo is at his friend's house.

Having this man in front of me makes my legs turn into jelly. I can't handle his presence; I need to do something to make him leave. We have never been alone, and for the first time, I'm afraid of being weak in front of him. Maximiliano observes me firmly in the eyes and says,

Max: Why did you leave just like that, as if nothing happened?

Vicky: Max, it's not the time to talk. Please leave; Matheo isn't here, so you have nothing to do here. Forget about me, and don't worry about Matheo. You can see him whenever you want.

Although I was saying one thing aloud, my heart whispered another. I had forgotten that I had music playing, and at that moment, one of my favorite songs by Maná was playing.

Max: You know, I feel like that song "Rayando el Sol" (Scratching the Sun).

Vicky: Please, Max, go away. Don't make it harder.

Max approaches me, holds me by the waist, lifts my face, and looks into my eyes.

Max: Look into my eyes and tell me that you don't love me, that throughout this damn year, you only felt pity and not love for me. I swear on Teo that if you tell me you don't love me, I'll leave your life forever and won't bother you anymore. But if you tell me the opposite, I promise to love you for eternity.

Words failed to escape my lips. Hearing him say that he would forever walk away from me and our lives felt like a stab to my heart. In that instant, I realized I couldn't live without this man. I couldn't care less about his profession; all I saw in him was an ordinary human being with all the flaws and virtues in the world.

I stood there, observing, unable to say anything.

Max: I understand your silence. Goodbye, Vicky.

(Max let go of me, turned around to leave, and just as I reacted, I said,)

Vicky: Maxx, (he turned around to look at me) to hell with the world and your profession. (I ran into his arms, jumped, and kissed him with desperation. I needed his kisses like I needed oxygen to breathe.) I don't know what my life would be without you, but I know that I love you, and I would give my life for you. I love you, Maximiliano Pierini.

(Max, kissing me with a huge smile on his face, said,)

Max: You make me the happiest man in the world, my love. You have no idea how much I needed to feel you, to hold you. You are my life. I love you madly, Victoria Alanna Santiago Fisher.

We were still in each other's arms, kissing eagerly, filled with need. In this moment, I only needed him. Max sat me on the kitchen counter and looked at my pajamas.

Max: I love your pajamas.

Vicky: I'm sorry for stealing it, but I needed a piece of you. (I said with eyes full of love, pouting.)

Max: In my family, a theft of such magnitude deserves punishment. I can't let something of such great importance go unnoticed.

Vicky: Are you going to punish me for stealing a shirt from your closet, where you have around 150 shirts? I highly doubt you even noticed it was missing.

Max: I did notice its absence, Miss Santiago. You took my favorite one.

Vicky: (I looked at him with doubt) Well, Mr. Pierini, then I confess my crime. What will be my punishment for stealing a shirt?

Max: For now, I need you to prepare some food, I'm starving. I'll think about your punishment later.

Vicky: As you command, Sir. What would you like for dinner, Sir?

Max: If you keep calling me Sir, I swear I'll skip dessert. (Max said seductively) Honestly, my love, whatever you prefer. I promise I'll love it, coming from you.

I didn't know what to prepare for him, to be honest. Max is used to well-elaborated menus, and during my time in Italy, I learned a lot about his life, including his exquisite palate. Although the idea of him not liking it terrified me, I decided to prepare something very traditional in my country, something that is never absent in my home - grilled arepas made with Harina Pan, filled with Diablito mayonnaise and butter. I truly didn't know how he would react, but who could resist something like that?

Max: What are you preparing?

Vicky: Mmmm, it's something very traditional in my country, they're called arepas.

Max: I've heard of them before, but I've never tried them.

Vicky: Well, I hope you like them.

I finished preparing everything, Max set the table, I filled the arepas, and we sat down to eat. Honestly, I was afraid of his reaction as I watched Max hesitate before taking a bite.

Vicky: So, what did you think? (I asked eagerly)

Max: Oh my God, Vicky, this is marvelous.

(I guess I hadn't realized I was holding my breath)

Vicky: Tell me the truth, not what you think I want to hear.

Max: Honestly, my love, I loved them. They're marvelous. I hope you make many more of these.

Vicky: Hahaha, well, at least there will be three of us who are crazy about arepas. My love, I'll call Matheo. It's 8 o'clock at night, and it's the first time my mischievous little one sleeps outside.

I called Sebas' mom, who is always so kind. She passed the phone to Teo.

Vicky: Matheo Ignacio (Teo knows that when I say both his names, it means trouble for sure). How are you? Is there something you want to tell me?

I signaled to Max to keep quiet.

Teo: Mom, I'm sorry. I know it's not right to tell lies, but, in my defense, I had to solve what you and dad weren't going to do. Will at least my scolding be worth it?

I couldn't help but laugh at this child. He's truly something else. Maximiliano couldn't hold back and burst into laughter too.

Teo: Is dad there?

Vicky: Yes, my love, your dad is still here.

Max: Hello, champ. How are you, son? You know, lying wasn't right, but son, you deserve a statue on Mount Vesuvius, hahaha.

Vicky: Maximiliano!

Max: What? It's true. My boy is better than Cupid, hahaha.

Teo: Yes! Mom, scold me, punish me until I reach adulthood, if you want, but at least I know it was worth it.

Vicky: Oh my God, the two of you are going to make me age ten years every day.

Everyone: Hahaha.

Teo: Mom, sorry, but I have to hang up. I love you, bye dad, I love you.

Max and Vicky: We love you too, my love.

I hung up the phone, Teo always surprises me.

Max: That kid deserves the world, hahaha.

Vicky: I still don't know how he manages to be everywhere.

Max: He takes after you a lot.

Vicky: Yes, he really does.

Max: Well, now that Teo started a great job, I'll finish it.

Maximiliano looked at me like a lion observing its prey, ready to strike. He held me by the waist and kissed me with strength and depth. We kissed until we had to separate for air. Max carried me in his arms and took me to the bedroom. My mind was clouded, unable to utter a single word. I pointed to the room, and he carried me there and placed me on the bed. Max took off his shirt, revealing his well-sculpted body, just like Thor himself. I was mesmerized, staring at him.

Max: Do you like the view?

Vicky: (Looking at him with lust, I said) I love it.

Max climbed on top of me and began showering me with kisses everywhere, while I still had his shirt on and only wore a panty underneath. Max started to move his hand up from my knee, passing my thigh, until reaching my most intimate area.

Max: (Kissing me, he said) God, you're so wet. You fascinate me.

(I was trembling, it was my first time and I was very scared. Max noticed the terror on my face.)

Narrated by both:

Max: What's wrong? Don't you want to do this? Do you still not trust me? (I asked, observing the fear on her face when I tried to insert one of my fingers inside her.)

Vicky: It's not that, it's just... I've never done it before. It's my first time, and I'm scared it will hurt. (I confessed, covering my face with my hands.)

Max: (I didn't expect her to confess this, but it filled me with pride knowing that she would be mine alone.) Don't cover yourself, my love. You shouldn't feel ashamed about it. I promise I'll make tonight special for you.
