Episode 10

Vicky's Narrative

I entered my room and it is beautiful, I would say three times larger than mine in Spain, although well, my room in Spain belonged more to Matheo than to me. Luxuries are not my thing, so it will take me some time to adapt to this type of attention. I am the type of woman who, if I want the moon, I can get it myself, so these months here will be difficult for me. Luckily, I have Matheo and I know that with his antics, I will be able to cope with everything.

I put Teo in my bed, dressed him in his Dino pajamas, and left him asleep. Honestly, I hope my child continues to want to sleep with me like he has been, although in this house, I must admit, I feel like we are protected. I went to the bathroom in my room to take a cold bath, which will relax me and relieve the fatigue I've been carrying.

I exited the bathroom and put on my Dino pajamas. If Matheo and I have the same pajamas, it's his favorite and he loves that we both have them. We have many matching pajamas, and we always have pajama parties together. Teo is a child who, due to his maturity and intelligence, gets bored with his little friends quickly, let's say he is not an easy child to handle. He gets along better with adults or a book.

As I was about to go to sleep, I heard some angry shouts, so I quickly left my room. There he was in his wheelchair, frustrating one of the maids who seemed to have brought him his dinner.

Maximiliano: Get out of here, you useless person! You spilled juice on me. Can't you see I can't walk? Leave, I don't want to see you here.

(I silently observed as the maid apologized. I felt sorry for her. It was clearly an accident. Suddenly, our eyes met, and I realized he was looking at me strangely, as if I were a being from another planet. Then he spoke.)

Maximiliano: Who are you?

Vicky: Sorry to interrupt, but I heard the shouts and came to see what was happening.

Maximiliano: You haven't answered my question. Who are you?

Vicky: I'm Victoria Santiago, pleased to meet you. (I extended my hand to introduce myself, but he rudely turned away and slammed the door in my face. He's definitely an arrogant jerk. It seems like I won't have an easy time here. He behaves as if he's the devil's spawn, but I thought he was Zeus's son. I closed my room and went to sleep.)

(Maximiliano's narrative)

I'm definitely surrounded by useless people, and now I just realized that my father brought the famous physiotherapist to live in this house. It made me laugh to see her in that ridiculous dinosaur pajamas. What kind of professional wears that?

I went to the bathroom to change. My room was adapted so I could move around in my wheelchair without any obstacles. As I left the bathroom, I couldn't help but think about the ridiculous Miss Dino. Hahaha, yes, from now on, I'll call her that. I'll make her life miserable too. She won't be an exception. None of the physiotherapists my father has brought have lasted more than a day.

(The next day)

(Vicky's narrative)

(I felt some kisses waking me up. I quickly opened my eyes, and there was my little angel waking me up with all the love in the world.)

Vicky: Good morning, my little one. What time is it?

Teo: Good morning, Mommy. It's 6:00 in the morning.

Vicky: Oh God, child, I'll never understand why you wake up so early.

Teo: Why are you complaining, Mommy? I'm just like you.

(He says, crossing his arms.)

Vicky: Hahaha, you're right, my love. You've adapted to my schedule since you were a baby. Well, now that we're awake, let's go to the bathroom. You need a shower urgently.

Teo: Mommy, don't be cruel, it's too early.

Vicky: Oh no, young man, that's not going to fly. Come on, we need to go because you smell like a timoleon (tiger, monkey, and lion).

Teo: Hahaha, okay, Mommy, okay.

Vicky: Come on, we have an hour to get ready.

(While Teo showered, I picked out our clothes. I opted for something casual for my son, even though we're not going anywhere. I've always liked him to look like a little gentleman. As for myself, I decided to wear my work jumpsuit, specially designed for my job.)

We left the room heading towards the kitchen in search of Mrs. Chabela, and upon arriving, she was there preparing breakfast.

Vicky: Good morning, Mrs. Chabela. How are you doing?

Mrs. Chabela: Good morning, my dear. I see you all rose early.

Vicky: Well, I have a little alarm clock that always wakes me up at 6 a.m. Look, this is my son Matheo. You saw him yesterday, but you were asleep. Teo, this is Mrs. Isabella, the nanny of Don Maximo's son.

Teo: Good morning, Mrs. Isabella. It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Matheo Ignacio Santiago Fisher, but I prefer to be called Teo.

Mrs. Chabela: Oh, what an adorable child. Nice to meet you, Teo. And you can call me Nana if you'd like.

Teo: Then it shall be Nana.

Vicky: Chabela, do you want help with anything?

Mrs. Chabela: Oh no, my dear. Don't bother. Please have a seat. Breakfast is already prepared, and Don Maximo and Doña Carlotta will be down soon. Would you like some coffee?

Vicky: It's no trouble at all, Mrs. Chabela. Please, tell me how I can help.

Teo: Nana, it's better to let her do something; otherwise, my mom can become unbearable.

Vicky: Matheo!

Teo: Well, it's the truth, Mom. For you, the word "no" doesn't count.

(We all laughed upon hearing Teo's remark)

Mrs. Chabela: Well, in that case, could you help me set the table, please?

Teo: I'll put the tablecloths and cutlery, Mom, you handle the plates.

Vicky: Luckily, I'm the only one who doesn't accept a "no," hahaha.

(While Teo and I set the table, Doña Carlotta and Don Maximo arrived)

Doña Carlotta and Don Maximo: Good morning.

Doña Carlotta: I see you're up very early.

Vicky: Good morning, Doña Carlotta. Good morning, Don Maximo. Hahaha, yes, we tend to wake up early. Doña Carlotta, this is my little Matheo.

Doña Carlotta: So, you must be the famous Matheo. Maximo spoke highly of you. Nice to meet you, I'm Carlotta de Pierini, but you can call me Carlotta or Abu. Since you'll be here for some time, I'd like us to get along well.

Teo: Nice to meet you, Mrs. Carlotta. My name is Matheo Ignacio Santiago Fisher, but you can call me Teo. It's good to see you again, Don Maximo. How are you?

Don Maximo: The pleasure is mine, son. You can also call me Abu if you'd like. Carlotta and I are very happy to have you here. Please, make yourselves at home. And I'm doing well, son. How about you?

Teo: Excellent. (My little one answered with a captivating smile)

Mrs. Chabela: Well, everyone, breakfast is ready. While you eat, I'll take breakfast to my little Max. He went to bed without dinner after what happened last night.

Doña Carlotta: Yes, we heard the screams, but since it's become a regular occurrence, Maximo and I didn't pay much attention.

Vicky: I went out at that moment, and I think it won't be easy for me.

Don Maximo: I know, daughter, but I have hope in you.

(We were having breakfast when a very handsome young man entered; truthfully, this family is surrounded by gods, they are all spectacular)

Domenico: Good morning, family. Enjoy your meal!

Don Maximo: Good morning, son. Have you had breakfast? Let me introduce you to Dr. Victoria Santiago Fisher and her son Matheo. She will be Max's new physiotherapist.

Domenico: Nice to meet you, miss and sir. Yes, Don Maximo, I have already had breakfast. Thank you!

(Domenico greets us by kissing my hand and acknowledging my son like a gentleman)

Vicky: Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Domenico.

Teo: Nice to meet you too, Mr. Domenico. You can call me Teo.

Domenico: Well, on the condition that you call me Domenico. Being called "Mr." makes me feel old.

(Hahaha, we all laugh. I really liked Domenico, to be honest)

Domenico: Tell me, have you had the pleasure of meeting my best friend yet?

Don Maximo: Not formally, but Vicky has had the misfortune of meeting him during his grumpy moments.

Domenico: Hahaha, I hope Max makes it easy for her.

Breakfast was very pleasant, and we laughed a bit because Matheo, as always, took the lead in conversation. We were all attentively listening to him speak; he expressed himself like an adult. Don Maximo and Domenico were enchanted and gave my son their full attention. For some strange reason, I noticed a gleam in Doña Carlotta's eyes. Without a doubt, my Teo effortlessly won everyone over.

To be honest, I felt a bit nervous. It was almost time to confront Max, and as everyone at the table said, "It's not going to be easy!" According to Domenico, he has a temper like a thousand devils. I'm not an angel either; I have my own temper when provoked. However, I usually try to be very peaceful.
