(Narrated by Vicky)
We were having lunch at the restaurant when I noticed the presence of a man. His mannerisms and the number of bodyguards accompanying him indicated that he must be one of those important CEOs. He appeared quite young, not more than 23 years old. For some strange reason, I couldn't take my eyes off him. He looked attractive, and I was mesmerized by his well-tailored suit and stern expression. One could say he was sculpted by Zeus himself. Hours went by, and I couldn't help but keep looking at him. My friend Valentina noticed my frequent glances and didn't hesitate to tease me.
Valentina: Vicky, why do you keep staring in their direction?
Vicky: Is it that obvious that I am observing him?
Valentina: Hahaha, my friend, since he walked through that door, you haven't taken your eyes off him. I could swear he noticed your gaze and might be feeling harassed.
Vicky: Oh my god, Vale, just look at him. He's absolutely tempting. As you would say, "commeating him with tomatoes" (laughing).
Valentina: Hahaha, well, in this moment, there's nothing more handsome to me than my beloved boyfriend.
Vicky: Hahaha, maybe I should switch positions with Matheo to stop seeing him.
(We both laughed. I had never been so attracted to a man before, so I decided to turn away and avoid looking at him. Everyone looked at me strangely, but fortunately, they didn't pay much attention.)

I woke up early today and decided to go for a run to clear my mind. Last night, I went out for dinner with Natacha. Honestly, she doesn't inspire me at all. I only go out with her to please my father. I can't deny that she has her own appeal, but she's also very capricious, which irritates me. I hate when she tries to control me. If she thinks she'll succeed, she's gravely mistaken. I'll never let myself be dominated by a set of nice breasts and a pretty ass, or let them call me Maximiliano Pierini.
After running for 30 minutes around the hotel block where I'm staying, I decided to freshen up. I have a business lunch with some investors, so I need to be presentable. It's 12:45, and we agreed to meet at the restaurant at 13:15, so I'd rather arrive early. I like to be in control. As I entered the restaurant, I felt someone's gaze on me. I looked around at various tables but realized there were so many people, so I didn't pay it much attention. I tend to attract attention wherever I go, whether it's due to my arrogance, my physique, or the fact that I always have four men surrounding me. I was quickly guided to my reserved table. I couldn't pinpoint where the gaze was coming from, but it made me feel somewhat intimidated. While waiting, I noticed a lady and what seemed to be her son switching places at their table. It was a bit amusing, to be honest, as it made no sense.
After a while, the investors arrived, and the lunch proved to be quite fruitful. I secured significant benefits through this deal. With it closed, I can clean the money from arms trafficking, and my family and my businesses will continue to be the most influential in Europe.
As I left the restaurant, I suddenly observed several cars screeching to a halt and a barrage of gunshots ensued. Despite my men's attempts to shield me, I felt my vision darken, not knowing anything more.
After a pleasant afternoon with my family and friends, we decided to head home. Later, I noticed the men getting up and leaving, including Zeus' son, whose beauty was impossible to ignore - it was clear he was Zeus' son. We also got up a few minutes later and followed them. Don Cheo and Doña Chepa headed out ahead of us, unaware that our lunch would turn into a complete disaster. Outside the restaurant, a series of gunshots erupted, sounding like a confrontation. I felt fear and terror, and I quickly grabbed my child. We hid behind the restaurant's bar counter with Valentina and her boyfriend. Unfortunately, to my misfortune, a massacre was unfolding outside. My feet trembled as I saw my mother Chepina and my father Cheo lying on the ground. It felt as if something was tearing apart my soul. I rushed over to them, but sadly, they had no signs of life. I also observed Zeus' son lying on the ground, but paramedics were already attending to him. He appeared alive but not well based on what I overheard. I was devastated. So much tragedy had happened in my life in just two years.
Days passed, and the funeral services for Don José and Doña Josefina took place. Tears streamed down my face, and I felt a great emptiness in my heart. Valentina and her boyfriend were there beside us the entire time. Only Matheo and I were left in my life. Once again, for the sake of my child, I had to summon all my strength to move forward.

Hearing that damned doctor say I would never walk again turned me into someone despicable. I didn't want anything to do with the world. My father made all the arrangements to take me to London.
Once in London, my mother was waiting for us. I saw terror in her eyes, the terror of losing me. They quickly loaded me into an ambulance, which transported me to a clinic where a neurosurgery specialist awaited us.
Dr. James: Good morning, Mr. Pierini. Everything is ready. My colleague informed me about your case. I won't lie to you; it's a difficult but not impossible case. I've already spoken to the administration to assign you a room. Rest today, Mr. Pierini, and tomorrow we'll begin all the preoperative testing protocols.
Don Maximo: Thank you, Doctor. Please do everything possible for my son to regain full mobility. Don't worry about the money; you set the amount, and we will pay it. (I heard my father say to the doctor, to which the doctor replied)
Dr. James: It's not about the money, Mr. Pierini. It's a very delicate operation, and everything will depend on your son's determination.
(I chuckled inwardly, realizing that this miserable man hadn't experienced a tragedy like mine. They destroyed my life, and honestly, I have the least faith in walking again.)
Time passed, and the day of the operation arrived. They took me into the operating room, and a man placed a mask over my face. I counted to ten, and I didn't remember anything else.
Narrated by Don Maximo
My son had already been in the operating room for four hours, and I was getting desperate because no one came out to give me any news. Finally, Dr. James came out.
Dr. James: Good evening, Mr. Pierini. The operation was a success, but as I mentioned before, the recovery will be slow, and from now on, it will depend on your son.
Don Maximo: Thank you, Doctor. I have no words to express my gratitude for what you have done.
Dr. James: Don't worry, Mr. Pierini. It's my job, and I do it with pleasure. For now, your son will spend the next 24 hours in the intensive care unit to monitor his condition. These first 24 hours are critical, despite the successful operation due to its magnitude and complexity.
Don Maximo: Okay, Doctor.
(After the doctor informed us about the operation, I asked Carlos to take my wife home. I stayed in the hospital to take care of my son, surrounded by several men. We didn't want him to suffer another attack.)
Days passed, and as expected, despite the successful operation, my son wasn't cooperating. He refused to do his rehabilitation exercises, and his temperament was getting worse.
I decided to take charge of everything again, so we returned to Italy where I would look for other specialists. Dr. James reassured me that he will be the one to perform Max's routine check-ups in Italy for his comfort.
Max doesn't want to leave his room, and he insults and attacks everyone. Nobody can stand him anymore. He only talks to Carlota, his mother, and that's just because she's his mother. Otherwise, he would also treat her badly. Seeing him like this frustrates me, and although I try to put myself in his shoes, there are days when I can't justify his behavior of not wanting to cooperate with his rehabilitation.
