Chapter 19

Next day

Himeko POV

I groaned as the sun light hit my face. It's almost 10 in the morning. I slept late last night. Today is weekend. That means I won't be able to see Mei today. I slowly got up and took a nice hot shower. After a while I dressed up in my beautiful dress. I got out of my room and a white ball of energy ran towards me.

"Hey Pucchi." I petted him as he barked, wagging his tail. A maid walked into me.

"Good morning Miss."-The maid said with a bow.

"Good Morning Shima. Where is mom and dad?"

"Ah. They left for a business trip this morning." I frowned. They didn't let me know.

"When will they come?"

"Probably 4 or 5 days later." I nodded.

"You're breakfast is on the table Miss."

"Thank you." She bowed again and left. I walked to the dining room. I ate bread, egg and bacon. A maid came out of nowhere.

"Miss. We need some groceries, so I'll be leaving now."

That means I'll be home alone. I'm bored to death. Why did I finish my work last night?

"Just give me the list. I'll go pick the groceries."

"But-

"Don't worry. I'm bored anyway."- I said and gave a smile. She nodded and handed me a list of groceries.

After breakfast, I got out of my house like a proper lady unlike a certain someone. I still don't get it how can Mei like someone like her. I sighed. If Mei becomes happy, I'll be happy. I can't be her special someone but I can be her best friend and give her my support. I have to move on but it'll be hard cause who else can make me feel happy other than Mei?

"Good morning Miss." I was greeted by my driver.

"Good morning." I smiled and got inside the car.

"The central mall please." The driver nodded. It was now 11:30. The time isn't passing fast.

After a while, we arrived at the mall.

So many people. It was making me suffocated. Let's get this over with. I went to a grocery shop. I bought everything on the list and paid with my dad's platinum card. It was almost 12:30. What is wrong with the time?

As I was hurrying out of this mall, I slipped and bumped into someone as she fell. The coffee went all over her.

"Ow!"-The female groaned with an angry face. She looked familiar.

"Ah. Siko-Senpai?" It was indeed her.

"Oh. Himeko-chan." Her face changed to a softer one. Is it me or her behaviour is not like everyday or I didn't notice it before. I helped her up.

"I'm really sorry Senpai! "

"Don't worry. It's fine." She gave a soft smile. Is it me or she looked cute.

"But your shirt!"

"It's fine Himeko-chan."

"It's not fine. Let me make it up to you."

"So a shopping date?" A date huh? Probably a friend's one.

"Maybe but first let me give this things to my driver." After that I quickly handed my things to my driver and told him to leave.

I and Siko Senpai went around shops and tried different things or I should say I was trying out things. I couldn't help it, they all looked so beautiful.

"I'm really sorry, I couldn't control myself."with a shy -I apologized.

"Don't worry. I'm actually very happy and having fun."-she said with a smile. Was she this modest all the time or I didn't notice. I should start noticing things around me.

"Himeko-Chan you'll look very cute in this outfit."-She said with  hint of redness in her cheeks. Probably because it's hot today. I thanked her as I started to pick a dress for her.

"Don't pick dress Himeko-Chan. I'll probably look bad"- She said with a shy smile.

"Oh! But why say bad even before trying."-I said as I shoved a dress in her hand, pushing her towards the changing room. After a while, She peaked through the door.

"Come on Senpai!"-I groaned. She was bright. Yep she was shy in this case. She slowly fully came to my view. Are my eyes playing jokes on me?!

"I know i don't look good Himeko-Chan. I should probably change." What?! Change!? She looked gorgeous! Where was she hiding her pretty face? I quickly grabbed her.

"What are you saying! You look very pretty!" She opened her eyes wide and a sudden redness peaked in her cheek.

"Thank you but don't you think I should buy a shirt for now."

"No! Your buying this and the shirt"-I insisted.

"Bu-

I pushed her back to the changing room handing her a cool shirt. She sighed with a smile and went to the changing room to change into the shirt. After a while she came back as I paid the bill and we exited the shop.

"So Himeko-Chan. Wanna get lunch?" I don't usually eat lunch outside but-

"Yeah sure. Where do  you wanna go?" While me and her was deciding where to eat, a raven haired girl caught my eyes.

"OH! Isn't that Mei-san?..Ah Yuzu is also with her. Oh how about we invite them too." I looked at them. Invite them with us huh. But they looked like they were having so much fun. My heart....hurts. I clenched my chest. Siko senpai looked at me.

"It's ok if you don't want to."

"N-no It's fine."- I said not looking at her. HIMEKO PULL YOUR SELF TOGETHER. YOU'RE STIL HER BEST FRIEND. YOUR JOB IS TO SUPPORT HER. BAKA!

"Ayo Siko!!" Out of nowhere a blond jumped on her.

"Hey Yuzu!" They have such a good relationship. A raven appeared in my view.

"Hey Himeko"-A gentle voice said.

"O-oh! H-hi MeiMei."-I said nervously. Before Mei could say anything.

"Let have double date!"-Okogi cheerfully said.

"W-we are not dating!"-Siko senpai said shyly. Whats up with that?

"Aww. Too bad. I meant a friends date."-Okogi smirked. What?

"Whatever lets get lunch."-I said annoyed.

After looking around for a bit, we found a good looking restaurent. Siko senpai said the food is good here. I tried to sit next to Mei but Okogi took the sit first, So I had to sit with Siko senpai. I don't dislike it though. I'm just......hurt?

We ordered our food and chatted a bit. Mei and Okogi laughed and smiled. I wanted that expression of Mei all for my self. I know its selfish of me. I have to get rid of this feelings. I can't take it anymore. I'm gonna break down here. NO!  I numbly stood up from my chair.

"You're okay Himeko-Chan?"-Siko senpai asked.

"Y-yeah. Just want to get some air."-I said and left the place. I got out of the restaurent and then suddenly broke down. I want to get rid of this feelings! I cried my eyes out, I will not be a good friend to Mei if I act like this! I don't want this feelings!! I cried and cried, feeling cold in this afternoon breeze.

"Please don't cry Himeko-Chan"-A warm voice surrounded me with a warm feeling. I quickly looked at her. No one came to look for me, So why did you come? 

"Don't cry. please. It breaks my heart seeing you cry like this. " 

"Life doesn't always go the way you want it to go, so it's normal for a person to get hurt and cry." hearing her wise words I broke down. I cried in her arms. In this cold, only her warmth was giving me the strength to stand.

"It hurts so bad *hic*"

"I know , I know." she stroked my head softly.

"I want to die!!"

"Don't say that Himeko!! Do you know there could be someone who really loves you right?!!"

"No one will love me! Its better for me to die."

"HIMEKO! If you die, I'll be the person who'll be sad more than anyone!!! and don't you wanna support Aihara-san?"  

"Why?"

"Huh?"

"Why do you care? why do you care? I'm useless. I can do nothing but nag people. Why? Why do you care for a use less crybaby like me?!!"-I literally yelled.

"Because-Beacause...I love you!!!" Silent fell upon us. She likes someone like me? How? why? Am I hearing things?

"I love you Himeko-Chan. It's fine if you don't go out with me but please don't cry. It hurts me."

I'm hurting her? This situation is familiar but the tables have switched. I don't anyone to feel pain because of me nor do I want to experience that.

"I'll go out with you."

"Huh? what?" I blushed deeply before saying it again.

"I wanna be truthful to you. I don't have any feelings for you and I can't say that is I'll have it in the future but that doesn't mean I can't try. You are a great person. I want to fall in love with you....SO please...please...Make me fall in love with you!"-I yelled. Next seconds were silent. I looked at her. her eyes were reddened and a tear rolled down her cheek.

"I'm not sure if I can do that but even if it takes me 100 years to make you fall in love with me, I'll will give my all."-She said with a teary face. She wiped hers along with mine as she cleared her throat.

"I, Siko Igarashi swear to make Himeko Momokino fall in love with me!"-She said dramatically as I chuckled. She looked me in the eyes. She leaned in and gave me a kiss in the forehead as she took my hand.

"So Ms.Momokino, Shall we go?"-She looked at me with somewhat seductive eyes. Wha! *Throb* *Throb* I gulped before taking her hand while praying hardly to fall in love with her.
