Ch-03. Trust and Loyalty.

A wrecked jeep seemed to turn onto a road that led to the seedy townhouse, and then shortly thereafter the jeep stopped and four people got out of the jeep.

The four men coming out of the jeep were Moon and the three men he undertrained.

Moon seemed to walk at ease, but as a former detective kept himself alert and his eyes perked on the conditions surrounding the area.

“Big Bear, you sure this is the place?” Moon asked as he kept going.

“Sure, big boss.” Big Bear answered, but he also exchanged glances with Tiger and Trunk.

Moon who walked in front of his three men didn’t notice that his three men walked backwards and slowly walked away from him. Suddenly about 30 big men emerged from each alley and moved around Moon, each of them was armed with a variety of weapons whether dull or sharp. One of the biggest looking men of the group seemed to walk over to Moon, banging iron rods at the palm of his hand.

He stopped when they were only six feet [2 m] away. His voice sounded heavy when he said, “I heard you who had stolen our goods, beat my brothers up and also broke the hand of one of my brothers. Is that true?”

Moon didn’t answer, he just looked back and looked over at big bear, tiger and truck that had joined up and was among 30 people who was surrounded him. Even big bear, tiger and truck are in their own backyard, but Moon’s bloody-eyed look seem like he was said "You're dead." to them and has left them cold and pale in their faces.

Slowly but surely, Moon faced the gang leader again, he folded his arms across his chest and with a mocking smile he said, “Yes. That was me. Then what are you gonna do, huh?”

The booming voice of the gang leader sounded angry as he said, “Bastard. I will avenge my brother and I will make you feel what it's like when your bony bones fall apart.”

He then raised his hand, shouting, “Attack!”

Once the 30 people move, Moon also moves, too, and the body moves fast and fast. In the blink of an eye a single stick had moved into his hand and struck down about 3 to 5 people, but he had also been hit so many times, that make Moon had to think quickly about the gang attack.

Moon leaped to the vacant spot among the gang members, dropping the stick he was carrying and then raising his hands to the front side, then saying in loud voice, “Stop! Wait a minute. I have one request before you break my bones.”

The gang leader stopped and raised his hand that make the whole gang members stop, and then the gang leader asking with his heavy voice, “What do you want to say?”

“I just want to bet you something.”

“A bet?”

“Yeah, bet. This bet is simple. Only you and me, the two of us will fight strength against each other. Do you agree?”

“Okay. I totally agree. Let's start.” The gang leader walking to the center while his gang members moved back and make a circle.

“Hold on.” Once again Moon raised his hand that make the gang leader stop.

Frowned, the gang leader asked in an impatient voice, “What are we waiting for?”

“You know, big guy, every duel must have a rules. So there must also be rules to this duel.”

“What the rules are. Tell me quickly.”

“We fight within 30 minutes and I'm not gonna use any weapons. If in those 30 minutes, just once, you could hit any part of my body with the iron rod in your hand just only once, then you would win, otherwise I would win. So, if you win then you can avenge these three and break all my bones. But if I win this duel then your whole gang will be my subordinates, including you. Deal?”

“Okay, deal.”

After saying that, the gang leader then lifted his iron rod and pointed to one of his gang members. He then said, “Set the time.”

A moment later the man who arranged the time answered, “It’s done, boss.”

At the same time, the gang leader shouted and ran toward Moon holding up his iron rod. Moon quickly moved to the side by moving his body. Repeatedly the gang leader swung his iron rod at Moon, but not once did he hit him.

A fight that looked more like a cat chasing the mouse had gone on for almost 30 minutes. The gang members in charge paid attention to the timing of the fight, seeing that there was only about two minutes left. He immediately looked at the gang member beside him and whispered, “There's only 2 minutes left and our boss hasn't once been able to hit the guy.”

The rest of the gang members who were around him felt anxious, but their anxiety was instantly relieved when Moon suddenly leapt in their direction. About three men rushed to take hold of Moon’s hand, but Moon did not stay still, he immediately lifted one of his leg and with great force stepped on the leg of one of the gang members holding him, causing the gang member to scream and let go of his hand.

Once one arm was free from the grasp of the gang members, his hand swung back into action, striking back at the faces of the rest of the gang. Then he immediately jumped up and avoided the swing of the iron rod of the gang leader who had almost hit him. Some time later there was a ringing sound that indicated the 30 minutes had run out. Moon quickly jumped away from the gang leader who swung his iron rod at him.

Moon, he stood with arms akimbo, his lips formed a big smile, then said, “You lose.”

“I'm not lost yet.” Though the gang leader's breath was hyperventilating, his voice was still booming.

“That 30 minutes is up. If you don't believe me, just ask your gang members.” Moon pointed the direction the gang members assigned to set up the time.

“Impossible.” Even though he said that but the gang leader turned his head and looked at his gang member and received an answer with a nod of his gang member’s head.

“Okay. I admit defeat. You are now the leader of the demon gang.”

Moon walks up to the gang leader, and because he shorter than the gang leader then he must turns his head up and says, “I'm Alex Lawrence. What's your name? And also the gang’s name.”

“Dwight. The gang’s name is Demon gang.”

For a while, Moon raised his hand, placed his thumb under his chin and tapped his upper lips with his index finger, then he said, “Demon gang. Hmm…Not bad. I like it.”

Then after that, he looked at Dwight again, “By the way, I decide you are become my right hand, the man I gave power to lead this gang whenever I was not here.”

Dwight was startled by Moon’s statement, who could hardly believe his own hearing until he had to verify the truth of his words. So he asked, “Are you sure of what you are saying? You believed in me? me as a gang who might one day betray this trust you gave me?”

Moon smiled, “Of course I'm sure. I decided it because I really appreciate your concern for the demon gang members. I believe that you and the rest of the demon gang won't betray the trust I've given you."

Hearing Moon’s words gave Dwight confidence in the leadership of the thin man before him. He then turned around and with his heavy voice he said to the rest of Demon’s gang, “All of you. Listen to me. From this moment on, Alex Lawrence is the leader of the Demon gang. You must be as loyal to him as you are to me. Understood.”

All members of Demon’s gang in one voice say their loyalty to Alex Lawrence aka Moon.
