Chapter 4

She finally make it up to the cold wet streets. Nisha looks around her and nothing caught her attention. Time is not in her favour so she gotta do something to earn the money so she could buy the materials and sew the clothes before the nagging woman come to scatter things for her.

She actually doesn't like working for madam Nero but the fact that she's rich which means she pays her well. The woman might be very annoying at times but she trust her skills alot. She can't afford to lose such customer.

If she successfully design the clothes well then madam Nero can bring in more customers for her. Her step mother continues to be unkind towards her but right now she doesn't mind. She has been enduring it for years so now she's used to the crappy life.

The rain has stopped and lesser people are walking on the street when she got to that location. She scanned the area but nothing suit her taste. She was about to move on to the next street when she saw a guy riding bicycle. She oozed at him and was lucky when her eyes reached the wallet he placed at his back pocket.

If she remove it he will surely know she has not done something like this before but since no miracle was happening she gotta act fast before the opportunity went away. She lowered her head and positioned herself knowing well that he will ride past her.

Soon he passed and she quickly grabbed the wallet and picked to her heels the guy knew immediately and was shouting after her. He was on bicycle while she was using her legs but he just can't meet up with her. If she runs a little she will get to a corner then her prayers has been answered.

The guy was shouting which already got everyone in that neighborhood alerted so he was no longer the only person after her. She looked at her back and knew she had made the wrong choice or did she steal from the wrong person?

She kept running till she slipped and fell. The wallet fell from her hand while she rolled on the floor. Before she could get up people surrounded her already. They were giving her deadly glares soon the owner of the wallet stepped in and took his wallet.

She was about to explain when a punch was threw on her face then a stick hit her back. A kick straight to her stomach then they all started hitting her persistently and she was bleeding. At first she thought of enduring the pain cos she deserves it. She shouldn't have tried taking what does not belong to her on the first place but now no way out.

The pain became unbearable for her she couldn't cry out cos she was losing her voice from the screams. Her whole body was on hell and she felt she was not going to survive it. The people are ready to kill her.

*The police should show up. Someone should please stop them* she prayed but nothing was happening. "Please don't kill me please I'm dieing,she struggles to talk but no one was listening to her.

One more touch and she will totally lose it. That touch must not get to her. Her life is being drained at the moment. "Please save me please help,she said faintly. That last touch was coming this time it's a big wood if this hit her then she should just forget about eating a meal on earth.

"Stop it stop don't kill her, someone growled from behind gaining everybody's attention and they halted. She also tried to look at the direction and found him standing with his hands raised.

"Don't you think you're abusing her? I only asked you to get my wallet I didn't order her death,he snarled making them all flinched.

"Enough you've done enough I got my wallet thanks so leave here right now,he yells and just like that they all scurried away.

*How did he manage to do that?* She thought. He looks young but got the boldness and power to control the people? They even listened to him without a comment.

She wipes the blood dropping from her nose and mouth. She managed to stand up but her knees her too weak. Her clothes were soaked with blood. She was putting on black but her underwear shows that she's stained in blood.

"I'm sorry please don't hurt me,she pleads trying to get away from him.

He squatted before her and tugged her hair behind her ears. She looked straight into his eyes but it was kinda blurry.

"Please please don't hurt me,she tries to speak again then she fainted in his arms.

"I'm not gonna hurt you I promise I'm sorry this happened to you,he whispered in her ears as he checks her pulse.

He was already late for school so it's a waste of time if he leave her there alone. He doesn't know her family and right now she is serious need of medical attention.

He quickly carried her on his back then started to run to a nearby clinic. He dropped her in the care of the physician and they began to attend to her immediately.

He was going to stay there and take responsibility. He feels guilty for what happened to her cos if he hadn't raised alarm she won't be in that state. The wallet she stole was not really important it's the life she almost lost because of his foolishness.

"For how long will it take for her wake up?,he asked the nurse

"You need an adult to sign here so go call her parents right now we can just give her the essential treatments,the nurse replied before walking away.

He sighed and walk towards her. Her face is badly ruined but somehow she was still cute in that state. He begins to watch her carefully in the bed till his phone rings Interrupting his thoughts.

"Who's this?,he asked

"Nicholas are you nuts? Did you want your father to start talking craps to me? You are the future king and you don't want to be educated who does that? Is this our deal? If you continue like this then I will abandon you for real okay? One more thing if you don't attend the dinner tonight then cut me out of your life,"that said the caller hung up.

He looks at his wristwatch looks back at his phone then at the sick girl on the bed. What exactly should he do? He needs to be responsible for this but can't afford to be disown by his own mother.

He just needs to decide. Of course he can't choose a stranger over his life so he picks his bag and left the clinic.

She opened her eyes and breathing became very tough for her she needs air. She began gasping for air but it was not working her eyes were almost bulging out of its socket.

"Doctor, the nurse called

"Speak"

"That girl I think she's gone,the nurse replied and they rushed to the ward
