" yes I am, and your home studio is amazing."

"Well I am glad you like it, shall we get started." lily said

" This might take a long time, so do you mind if we have like a 30 minutes break at some point, and we might not even finish recording today," Peter said.

"That's fine, do you need anything else." lily said.

Peter looked around the studio and said " everything is great, I just need water and some snacks, we might be here for 8 hours." Peter said.

" 8 hours, wow that's encouraging," Lily said sarcastically

Lily walks to the wall phone and then picks up the phone. "Susan, please can you get two bottles of water, and some snacks please," Lily said.

" umm, miss lily this is Maryann, Susan went on her vacation and will be back next week.".

" oh, when did she leave cause I just saw her a few minutes ago?" lily asked.

" Just a few seconds ago, can I get you anything?"Mary-Ann replied.

" Just get me two bottles of water and snacks.".

" Okay, ma'am." Mary Ann said and hung up

" ma'am!? How old does she think I am?" Lily said to herself.

Lily stepped into the recording booth, picked up her headphones, and put it on.

" Okay let us start with the melody, what do you feel like it should be.".

" Can you play it back again?" Peter plays it back.

" Yeah, take out the last note. now play it back again." Lily listens to it and nods her head to the sound of it." it's, okay, now we can add some harmonies, like let's double the vocals of the chorus and the bridge".

" Ok that sounds great," Peter said.

A few minutes later.

" We can continue the remaining part tomorrow or finish it today. If you want, we still have time" Peter said, looking at his watch.

" You know what, let's finish recording it today, so we can release it tomorrow," Lily said.

Peter laughed and said, " that is not how it works, if we finish recording it today the digital recording process will take about two to three weeks.".

" whatever. let's just finish with this.".

" how about you do the outro with a high note that goes like oooh, uhhh, and then I slowly make it fade out."

They finished recording and they had left the recording room.

By 5:30 pm.

Lily went to her room and sat down on her bed, she was checking her phone and had to reply to a lot of important messages that she had missed during the recording session.

Mary-Ann Knocked at Lily's room door and said "miss. Lily, there is a problem outside, someone is claiming to know you and he is trying to get in, the security is trying to hold him off.".

" good for you, so why are you here?" Lily asked.

James got up and walked went to the living room sitting on the couch and placed his feet on the center table.

" get your disgusting feet off my table." lily said while shoving his feet away from the table

" you know, to get a fresh start with you, now that you are no longer dating loser boy Josh, you have your own house, and your finally doing your dream, now we can finally do what we promised each other.".

Lily grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled his face closer to hers." I don't need a fresh start with you, and that promise was broken years ago after what you did to me." Lily said.

" really? And how many times have I told you I wasn't myself that night." James asked bringing his face even more closer.

"Yes. Maryann please come and make sure that James over here is seen out." Lily said as she pushed James aside and walked away.

The next day.

Lily came out of her room putting on her earrings. when she spotted James.

" James, what are you doing here?" Lily said, looking at Maryann for answers.

"I spent the rest of the night with Mary-Ann in her room," James said.

" Wait, what... you know what, I don't care, do whatever you want. You can even spend the night with my maid," Lily said.

"Aha. You were jealous for a short while, so you do care, cause I slept here on the couch.".

The first photoshoot was over, Lily looked at the picture and she liked it. She was getting ready for her next outfit when James called and she picked up the phone.

" Hey, Lily dear, where are you? I have been parked out here for a long time." James said.

For the next photoshoot outfit, she wore a blue top and a golden skirt.

"Sure." the photographer said, he retook the picture and then showed it to lily again," it is perfect." lily said

"I think it is going to make it as the cover of the magazine," Greta said

She had finished the photo shoot and entered the car. James said, " where to next.".

" I have a few hours before I go to the WIRED magazine to answer the most googled questions about me, which is kind of weird to know that people search for you, "Lily said.

" That means I could use this time to show you my bar," James said.

"No, just take me home.".

" When have I ever been known to listen, and by the way, it would be fun," James said.

" Well, I am glad. Now I have to get going." Lily said as she walks with James inside the bar.

" Wow, this place is huge, how did you afford this?" Lily asked.

" Well, I worked hard enough," James said.

" Will we go sit over there?" He asked while looking at a spot by the counter.

They walked over to the area where James had suggested and sat down.

" what? Why are you staring at me." lily asked.

Lily then scoffs, " You're not serious." She then asked a bartender to pass her a drink.

In excitement, James gets up from his chair and picks her up, and then puts her down.

8 AM the next day

Lily was in the kitchen picking out eggs from the fridge. She then brings out a frying pan from the cabinet and a small bowl. Mary-Ann comes into the kitchen " Lily what are you doing " lily stops for a moment "what did you say".

Lily's phone rang she picked it up.

" oh God, I will call Peter now," Lily said as she hung up and dialed peters number.

Her phone rang again.

" oh, what happened?" Lily asked.

" Tell them that I can't do it, maybe later but not any time soon." As soon as she hung up James came inside the kitchen " guess what I got, two frozen yogurts from Andy's, I got a 2 for 1 coupon." James said.

" Great, I can't fry eggs in the morning in peace," Lily said, Putting the egg back in the fridge.

" so, you said you were introducing me to all your friends and we were going to the fanciest restaurant in the city called Mamma Ella's," James said.

"Yes that's true, come on let's go pick up the rest.".

James and Lily both walked out of the kitchen.

At Lily's parents' home.

There was a knock on the door. Lily's mom went to open the door.

"Hi, Aggie." Gladys, who was Lily's mother, said hugging her.

"Ok, where is my favorite niece?" Agnes said while taking off her long black gloves and entering the house, Jane her daughter followed behind her carrying a bunch of luggage.

" She doesn't live here anymore, she has her building," Gladys said.

" glad she moved away from this dump, and with that My brother is in jail. Huh you must be lonely, so that is why I and my daughter are moving in.".

Lily's father named William then comes down from the stairs.

" Agnes, what are you doing here?" He says.

" I should be asking you, aren't you supposed to be in prison for a couple of months." She said as she removed her black fascinator hat.

" Well, the family lawyer and a bunch of other lawyers could get me out of any case," William said.

Agnes clenched her fist in anger and said: "well I brought lunch for everyone, come on let's go to the dining table and we could discuss all life.".

" What happened to my parents?" Lil asked trying to hold back a lot of emotions.

" Our forensic so far shows that they died of cyanide poisoning, but very soon we will figure out what happened, but now I have to ask you a few questions," Gina said.
