Mr. Bastard's Act

Liliana Pov:

After a good long sleep, I started today with more energy. Sometimes we need this “just me time” in our life. Just to understand yourself more. I reach my office and greeted everyone with a happy smile.

It will not only give you confidence it also spread positive vibrations to others around you.

I was waiting for the elevator while checking the share market. I need to be updated in my work. It’s not easy to be secretary of CEO. That too for Mr. Atticus the devil himself.

I feel someone is near me looking at me. I raise my head to see who it is. Speaking of the devil. Oh my god! Am I late to work? Because he will be earlier than me to his work. Immediately I look into my wristwatch to check the time. No, I am on time.

We enter the elevator.

I said, “Good Morning Mr. Atticus” with my pleasant smile.

He looks me for a second and replied with a smile. Am I dreaming? He smiles at me. Wow, he should smile always, he looks breathtaking.

My mouth is not in control I told him “You should smile more Mr. Atticus. You look good when you smile” I immediately regret and shut my mouth. What did I just say to him?

Oh Liliana you are in trouble. I thought he will lash me out with his anger. But no, nothing has happened that sort of things.

I look into his eyes. I see something different in his eyes for me. I can’t tell what exactly it is. But something is not good for me. I just lost in his eyes. I can’t even take my eyes off him.

He is charming, devilishly handsome. He is near me I can smell his mint and spicy cologne which making me breathe hard.

My mind is alerting me to take off my eyes from him or I may lose my control. "Girl what are you thinking idiot. He is your boss. You can only dream of him but in reality, you can’t even reach him".

We were interrupted by a Ding sound indicates we reach the floor. I dash out of the elevator to my cabin without giving another look.

I start to work after reporting his schedules to Mr. Atticus. I replied to the emails and fixing appointments and meetings for him. Sometimes I feel how he does this all.

I was verifying the contract of XY Company for the upcoming meeting. My mobile phone rings without looking who is calling me I attend the call and hear my Mom’s cheerful voice. A smile crept on my face. Whatever situation you are in, good or bad you just need only one person at that time your Mom. She has some magic with her that will make all your worries fly out of the window.

“Hello… Hi Mom! How are you?” I said.

“Lily my baby I am fine dear. How are you? Why didn’t you call me yesterday? Your dad was waiting for your call” My mom said in concern.

“Mom yesterday I was taking good rest. I was planning to call you this evening once I reach home. I miss you both. Where is dad?” I asked

“He went shopping dear. It's season time so we are getting more Orders. So he is going to his work earlier these days.”

My family owns a flower shop. My father likes gardening. His love for flowers makes him name me Liliana. It’s a small shop but enough for us to manage our needs. We are happy with that.

“Lily baby did Nana called you? She got a job there. she will move there with you.” Mom said

“What? She didn’t inform me anything. Okay, I will talk with her.” I am surprised to know this news. 

Natalia My close friend, my crime partner. To be precise she is everything to me. She is the only person who knows me all well. We will not hide any things. We share everything every secret, every crush, every naughty thing we do. But why she didn’t inform me about this?

After talking about my wellbeing with my mom she hang-up the call and I resume my work before mentally noting to have a good talk with my friend Nana.

I went to Mr. Atticus' office to remind him of our meeting with XY Company. I heard a faint “come in”.

“Sir I came to remind you that we have a meeting with XY Company within 5 minutes,” I inform him.

“Hmm. I am coming!” he gives me a nod before he closes his laptop.

We reach the meeting room. XY Company CEO Mr. Dominic is already present with his members to sign the contract.

I was giving the contract copies to the people from XY Company. I don’t feel comfortable with one guy who is eye-fucking me. Bastard I want to take his eyes off. While giving the contract he initially touches my hand.

I look at him he gives his dirty smirk to me. It’s disgusting. After distributing the contract I started the presentation and explain the policies to them. Of presentation, that bastard was literally eye-fucking me. He is syncing me from head to toe.

Once my presentation is done I sit beside Mr. Atticus. “I like your project and policies, Mr. Atticus. Happy to join hands with you.” Said Mr. Dominic and sign the contract.

After contract signing, they both shake their hands. Every member from XY Company shakes their hand with Mr. Atticus. Mr. Bastard also did the same. But his facial expression says something else.

It’s like he is in pain, Mr. Atticus said something to him that makes him look terrified. I can’t hear what he said because I am sending off the remaining members. But I like the look on Mr. Bastard's face.

Mr.Bastard went without even looking at me. “That’s better,” I thought.

I was in my cabin when Mr. Atticus informs me that we are going for lunch. He didn’t ask me he just inform me.

I look into his schedule if we have any Lunch meetings with anyone but No. Then why we are going to lunch together. That’s weird. I pack my things and went after him without asking any questions.
