Episode 17

Jed remained standing in the middle of the room, staring at a fixed point. When one doesn't understand, well, they just don't understand. What the hell was happening there? He couldn't believe what he had heard.

It was true that he didn't initially react well, but it was a surprise. He was single and thought he would remain that way for the rest of his life. The idea of an abortion for him, especially with his own child, had never crossed his mind. The other thing made no sense either. He had never threatened Isabella. He looked at the papers and began to read.

It was a copy of messages from his phone, intimidating and threatening Isabella. Who the hell did it? And why? And finally, there was a picture of him having sex with Marixa in his office. Now he was really screwed.

Later that night, Julian returned with Stefano as usual, bringing him completely exhausted and taking him to his bedroom.

" This room looks lovely, you must be so tired," Julian commented.

" Yes, it's very nice. Would you like some coffee or something to drink?"

" I'll have a coffee. By the way, I brought you something." They went down to the kitchen while Isabella prepared the coffee.

The moment Julian stepped foot into Isabella's house, Jed knew. But what he didn't understand was why Julian was still there. He had been waiting for him for 10 minutes. As soon as he found out they had returned, he said, "Let me know when he leaves!"

He had been waiting for 15 minutes now. Damn O'Brien. He was dying to go in there and get him out, but he knew that if he did that, he would lose his son forever. It was clear that Isabella had the worst opinion of him. He couldn't take it anymore, grabbed his keys, and headed to Isabella's house.

" As I was saying, he has completely worn me out. That boy never gets tired. By the way, did you know he wants a little sibling? It was quite an interesting conversation, Julian commented.

Isabella couldn't stop laughing. "I have enough with him. The cake is delicious, thank you."

" My dear, I was born to please you. He smiled so sweetly. Now I will let you rest," Julian said.

Isabella accompanied him to the car.

" Do you think I'm a good mother?"

Julian looked at her seriously. "You are an excellent mother. Your biggest flaw might be that you spoil him too much, and that's not good. Why do you ask?"

" I don't know. Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing things right. I didn't want to talk about Jed."

"Well, truth be told, you're the worst!" He still hasn't accepted me, she replied with a wink. They had known each other for years, long before Stefano was born. Julian was the son of her late aunt Sara's husband. He wasn't a womanizer. Isabella could only remember him having had three girlfriends. He was handsome and polite. At first, her biggest concern was that he was Stefano's godfather, and if something went wrong, it could jeopardize their relationship. Isabella approached Julian and kissed him, to his surprise.

" After this, I won't give up. Just so you know, Julian informed her.

" I promise that when I come back from my vacation, we will define this!" Isabella said to Julian, turned around, and started walking towards her house. "I'm counting on it, darling. Have a safe trip!" Julian shouted as he got into his car.

Isabella smiled and bid him farewell.

Furious with Isabella, Jed had witnessed the entire lovebirds' scene. How dare she kiss Julian? And on top of it, she planned to go on a trip. He fought against the urge to confront her. He couldn't stop her from leaving, but he could follow her.

Meanwhile, in a beautiful office in London, Marixa received her weekly report on Jed. Since he told her to go to London, that's where she had been working. The truth was, the change was quite good. She was making a lot of money and was in charge. She had slept with Jed a couple of times, but not enough to get pregnant, although she kept trying.
