"Ate! Ate!" My little brother ran towards me as I was doing my homework, I looked at him with my left eyebrow raised

"Ate look what I found on TikTok" he said after he catched his breath, I confusingly looked at his phone which is directly at my face and frowned a little, it readed "there's a myth that says your present face is the face of the one you loved most in your previous life"

"Ate is this real?" I nodded and his eyes glimmered once again

"It all started 10 years ago, there was a boy who was madly in love with a girl, he courted her for 2 years and they became together for 8 years" I said and he held my arm "ooh ang cute naman ng love story nila Ate, so where are they now?"

I looked away from him, staring at the opened window and let my ears hear the hustling wind from outside and finally said the words "they're gone"

I knew his eyes lost it's sparkle when he heard those words escaped my lips, I looked at him and let out a sigh "Ate, what happened to them?" Is what my brother asked me after a few minutes of silence

"The boy rescued the girl in a large fire at their school but sadly, neither of them survived, rescuers found them in the library, hugging each other, before they died of suffocation, the boy told the girl "whatever happens in our next life, I'll find you my love, we will continue our love story, I promise you that" and then he kissed her forehead for the last time and finally closed their eyes, letting the angry fire eat them alive"

My little brother was horrified of what he learned, he looked up to me and was shocked to see me crying, he rushed to get my wipes and handed them to me

"Ate why are you crying?" My little brother asked "did the boy found the girl?"

I looked at him and caressed his cheek "yes, he found her" I said while letting the tears escape my eyes once more

"Then, where are they now?" He asked once again and I smiled bitterly

"The boy turned into a girl and the girl turned into a boy, the worse part is they're siblings and they can't continue the story that fire ended that day, at least, she can still see the face of the boy she truly loved at that time" I said to my little brother who is now confused and let him out of my room
