"Below the glowing moon" (Diluc x Jean)

"Master Jean, hurry up! We're going to be late for the Ludi Harpastum grand ball!" Klee exclaimed excitedly as she wait for the acting grand master to finish

"Klee don't rush me, this is a big event, I don't know how I'll handle it" Jean replied nervously as she stared at her reflection at the mirror in front of her

Meanwhile, Lisa and Barbara helps her to do her gown, make up and any of the finishing touches, as Jean for herself, this is a lot to take in, she must be in a good condition and stand up elegantly and confidently around the guest, especially with the Fatuis around, she just can't lie back that easily

Hands shaking, she stared at her reflection once more "I don't think I can do this, I-I'm too afraid, I-I'm scared" Jean said, worriedly, this is a pretty big event that the Knights planned to do and even herself, she's more scared than ever

"Don't worry big sister, you'll do amazing there! I swear!" Barbara said, trying to raise up her sister's confidence

"Barbara's right, everything will be fine, don't worry to much, besides if something happens, the Knights will be here to defend" Lisa exclaimed while doing the finishing touches on Jean's hair "there, all better, take a look"

Without hesitating, Jean looked up to herself at and was stunned how much Barbara and Lisa can make her beautiful in just minutes, she was stunning, like a glowing dandelion herself, she can't believe that she was the person she was staring at, it doesn't look anything like her at all

"Wow! Master Jean is so beautiful!" Klee exclaimed with happiness on her eyes, she can't believe what she was seeing right now, she was elegantly beautiful

Jean stood up from her chair and tried to see her full reflection at the mirror "i-is this really me? I can't believe it"

"bet you'll grab Master Diluc's attention now" Lisa smirked that made Jean blushed

"I didn't know you had eyes on the Darknight hero, big sister" Barbara said that made Jean blush even more

"I-i definitely don't!" Jean denied which made Lisa smirk even more

"oh really Miss Jean? I saw you once out of your office for the first time last night, staring at both Knight Eula and Master Diluc, is there anything you want to say?" Lisa said and Jean slowly looked down on the floor and sits down

"I'm just staring at them because, b-because they're so cute together!" Jean replied with a painful smile on her face, in her position it wasn't supposed to hurt but deep inside, she knew she fell for Diluc, she knew she fell for something impossible "besides, they'd make a pretty good couple though"

"are you just saying that because you're hiding something?" Lisa asked again, Jean can't lie anymore, Lisa knows her too well, her lies no longer affect on Lisa "c'mon Jean, everyone knows how heartbroken you were"

"T-they do? How?"

"You're always laid off, always working overnight, you hadn't even have sleep anymore, you're getting sicker, weaker, paler and worst of all, you're slowly killing yourself, please don't do this" Lisa pleaded

Jean smiled softly "I'm not killing myself slowly, trust me, I'm fine"

"are we sure that you should go? I mean Eula and Diluc we're going to be there" Lisa asked worriedly and Jean just nodded

"you don't have to go if you're not feeling that well, you know" Barbara said out of nowhere but Jean just smiled

"Jean, you don't have to do this" Lisa said but Jean suddenly stood up

"Let's go, it's almost time for the ball" Jean rushed out, with Klee on her hands, Lisa and Barbara sighed heavily as they watch her go out of her office

Jean rushed down the stairs and she accidentally tripped, she was preparing for an painful impact but luckily someone saved her and it was....

"S-sir Kaeya, thank you for catching me" Jean smiled softly, little did she know that Diluc saw everything and now has walked out, he was so mad at Kaeya for catching her instead of letting him catch his beloved childhood crush

As he left, his smile was gone again, he looked at Jean and Kaeya once again "tsk" he let out a sigh as he continued walking away

"Master Diluc I don't think this is working, we're just bringing them closer and closer" Eula said as soon as she approached him "just tell her directly, things will work out, I guess"

"No need, she's happier now with Sir Kaeya, I'm no match for him after all" Diluc replied as he head back to his tavern and Eula just sighed

What they didn't know that the Knights arranged this event for Diluc and Jean themselves, so they can be free about them telling each other their feelings

Nighttime came, the Knights led Jean into a room, saying that there was something here then they actually pushed her in, locking her out. Jean, being scared of the dark, kept banging the door and trying to scream for help when a voice captured her attention

"Stop that, that's useless, I've tried doing that already" a man said that made her even scared, gathering up all her courage, she looked back to the corner "who are you?" she said

Jean was frozen in place when she saw Diluc walking towards to the light, she was so afraid that she ran up to him and hugged him, somewhere in Diluc know that he wanted to smile, he wanted to comfort her because he knows how much she hates the dark, he hugged her back, caressed her hair as if he was trying to calm her down, which he did

"I'll think of a way out, don't worry okay?" Diluc whispered to her ear and Jean just nodded

A few minutes later, still without a plan, they've talk for a while about their childhood, Diluc knew on what happened to Jean's parents and Jean knew what happened to Diluc's father

She leaned her head into his shoulder and whispers "you're lucky that you just lost one parent while Kaeya lost three of them"

Her whisper was enough for Diluc to hear that and suddenly sat up straight "it's his fault, he went there late"

"At least he tried to go there as soon as he can"

Diluc, full of anger, started to pin Jean against the wall "what does Kaeya have that I don't?! You were always talking about 'Kaeya', Jean what about me?" starting to look down, Jean was surprised, "w-what do you mean Diluc?" she asked that made him wheeze

"Jean I like you! I tried so much to make you notice, I tried everything to tell you and yet you didn't notice anything!" Diluc yelled, tears started to roll down his eyes "Jean I love you ever since we're kids, yet you don't notice it because all of your attention is on Kaeya"

Jean didn't know what to say, she was dumbfounded, she didn't know that Diluc liked her so much, so much that she just hugged him "I tried to get away from you because Knight Eula likes you, I know she did, I can see and notice that, and you think that I can notice all of you're doing? I'm in love with you for years Diluc, it's hard for me to give you to someone who just like you for months!" Jean snapped

Diluc thought for a second then the next thing Jean knew is that Diluc's lips was already brushing onto hers, without any hesitation, she kissed back

Lisa, Barbara and the other Knights rejoiced for what they heard, they finally knew that Diluc and Jean already came out of their shell

They let them go after a few minutes, they were so surprised how much affection they would show after a simple confession

It's been months ever since that day where they confessed to each other, it's finally time for their marriage

Diluc, patiently waiting, stepped confidently at the altar, waiting for his bride. The bells rang and there she was, the love of his life, his soon to be Jean Ragnvindr, was walking down the aisle together with her father, his sister was beside Diluc

Everything was perfect, the ceremony is even fancier and happier than the both imagine, everyone was happy including the newly weds, Jean and Diluc themselves

A few months past by, Jean went out and walked by the lake nearby the Dawn winery and took a good spot to sit comfortably while gazing up the beautiful glowing moon, it was a chilly cold night but she loved it, she rubbed her tummy in circles and hums a lullaby

"Jean! What are you doing out here? It's so cold, you might catch fever, remember that's bad for the baby" Diluc pouted when he saw his wife, sitting by a tree, resting her head on it, as he approached her, he took off his coat and puts it around her then carries her slowly "you should be inside the house"

"I just want to feel more comfortable, I love chilly nights remember? Besides you took so long to go home" Jean pouted that made Diluc chuckle "let's go home Mrs Ragnvindr"

"I would love that, Mr Ragnvindr" Jean said softly and they kissed in below the glowing moon
