chapter 4: first task

While walking towards the direction where the blue dot is, Zino look at his profile again. He don't understand why the system said he is 20 years old but he clearly feel that he is supposed to be a 21 now, although he dont remember his birthday he just feel or like deep inside him something is telling him that this is what his age supposed to be now.

since he can't figure it out, Zino flip the screen replacing the profile with a map. Suddenly when Zino look at the map the blue dot is running faster away from the curse land to the deep forest as if something is chasing after the dot.

Then out of nowhere the map showed a red dot that really chasing the blue dot, Zino run towards the direction where the dots running towards to.

He needs those rewards tonight since he didn't eat earlier and even if he wants to eat where will he find such a foods to fill his stomach.

Also if this quest failed not only he will starve, he will also be a homeless king instead of a useless king. If his castle will be gone then thats prove that he really is a useless king.

moving faster Zino arrived at the scene where a beast or monster trying to attack the elf that have a chain on his neck and both hands and legs. Zino can't see very clearly since its already dark and only the moon is giving him a light to see whats in front of him.

Zino pick the branch tree on the ground quickly and run towards the tree at the same time jumping high above the head of that unknown monster then strike.

the way Zino move seems to be natural but its like he wasn't use to his body giving a weird vibe that he just practice how to walk. the monster is still alive but its enough for Zino and the young boy to run, since the boy had a chains on his body Zino doesn't have any choice other than carrying the boy like a sack.

after they run and looks like the monster won't chase after them, Zino put down the young elf that around 15 to 16 years old.

Zino look at the boy who talk in some weird language the he don't understand for a while then look at the screen.

after that Zino felt his head hurt a little making his eyes glow red under the moon but it disappear after he rub his head a little.

"thank you! I thought i would die there... thanks for saving me. I know you don't understand what I'm talking about still thank.. "

the boy talk about his life experience and saying thanks repeatedly knowing that the man who save him won't understand what he is talking.

But then..

"oh, it's OK. so your a slave who run away. that's pretty bad. "

Zino replied ignoring the face that the elf is making, well he already guessed that this elf is a slave base on this thick, big and hard metal around his neck , hands and feet.

"you... how?... you speak our language? "

the boy ask but pretty much statement, then realizing what he just blurted out earlier made him blush in embarrassment.

"it's OK don't be shy, I also have a story. I'm a king here but maybe you already know my land was attacked and my people are all dead now and here I am living alone. "

Zino said like he just telling a story and it doesn't have anything to do with him. this shocked the boy and look at Zino to see if he is telling that truth but seeing those sparkling eyes he thought its a tears of sadness. but its actually because of the hurt made by the system on Zino's head.

'yeah, I heard about it. he must be so lonely and hurt that he can't express his feelings now, his heart being numb after hurting so much.'

the boy though letting his mind go further beyond the truth.
