The White Wedding

As my wedding date was approaching tomorrow, my house looked like a carnival. There is a lot of hustle and bustle happening recently and everyone is working their wits off, whereas, I'm sitting here relaxing. Relaxing is what I was told to do.

I have to get ready for three ceremonies. One, the White Wedding in the church, in front of our closest people. That is, mine and Marcello's families and best friends. Two, the wedding in front of all the people, it seems it would be on the headlines of the Newspaper. Three, in front of my Parents' and Marcello's family's special business delegates.

I'm super excited for my White Wedding as well as the Wedding in public. Both of them are tomorrow. Marcello himself selected all of my gowns. I was tired. I went to the salon this evening. They trimmed the dull looking strands of my hair but, maintained my length and they made me hairless. I feel very awkward now that all my hair was waxed including the ones on my coochie. It pained like witch when they waxed down there, but mama held my hand and kept convincing me that it was going to be okay. Now, I feel far better as the pain had subdued very much.

It's already late in the night, I was staring at the stars because I was so sad that I had to leave America and go to Italy after the wedding, because the third ceremony was their. They would even crown me there. I still don't get the point of crowning me! I'll miss my family when I'll start staying there. I don't know when I fell asleep while gazing at the stars.

It was morning and I was already given breakfast and dressed in my gown. It was such a pretty white gown. We would be leaving soon to the church.

We reached the church right on time for the wedding, I got down from the car only to be directly walked on the aisle by my father. Papa held my hand very tightly and he had tears in his eyes. He placed a warm kiss on my hand while we were half way through the aisle.

I could see Marcello looking at me from the altar from under my veil. He was smiling very sweetly and many emotions of comfort flowed from his eyes. Finally, we reached the end and Papa placed my hand on Marcello's hands gaining an assuring nod from him." Take care of my delicate princess." Papa told.

We faced the priest and exchanged our vows and exchanged our rings. "I now announce you as the man and wife. You many kiss the bride." the priest announced and Marcello lifted my veil and place a chaste kiss on my lips and then my forehead. We could hear cheers from all around the church.

We were then asked to give the first dance of the noon and many of our cousins followed us and danced with us. What caught my eyes was Alex dancing with a blushing Bianca, something is fishy. I noticed my best friend Daniel Davis aka Dani dancing with my brother in law Orlando third wheeled by his dog Amzi. When, Dani felt my gaze, he gave me an assuring smile. I spotted Elena, Dani's wife eating like her life depended on the roasted turkey in front of her. She was glowing with happiness looking at all this food. They both are my favorite seniors, they are just two years older than me, but they care for me like I'm their sibling.

All this while, I didn't notice the dreamily looking Marcello staring at me with a small smile. Then, we were told that it was time for us to go to the other place where we would meet everyone and the shot for tomorrow's headline would be clicked. Hehe!

Marcello kissed my forehead, " I will see you there, Take Care! Sí ?" he asked. I nodded my head looking downwards because I was too shy to face him. I would be travelling with my family to the other destination but, not before getting changed into another gown. Lucky me!!
