chapter 3: Hunger and the place I am in

(From now on privilege beings would be called as chosen)

After the huge boost in my journey to rule the three realms with the help of my new awakened body of mine of the chosen, a sudden hunger ignited within my body when I saw the corpse of the lizard which strangely felt familiar and distant at the same time.

Although I had no necessity to eat food because of my new undead body but I guess due to my conscious of a human, who haven't gotten anything to eat since it's reincarnation I wasn't able to put off the urge which was directly coming out of my soul when I saw the flesh of the lizard which has presented itself as food to me. I even used the skill Mana fire to cook it's flesh to medium rare. Mana fire is a skill which only can be used by someone who is proficient in Mana control. It allows the user to control the surrounding mana to conjure a blue fire whose temperature can be changed according to user's will.

After my small treat was cooked, I finally bit into it's flesh. It felt delicious and precious to me at the same time. It was as if I had found something important which had been long stolen from me and as much as it made me feel great it also aroused several questions within me as even though I was a skeleton I was still able to perceive the taste of the food and although I had no digestive system as a skeleton but after a bit of chewing the food was automatically converted to mana. I could also feel within me that my Mana capacity was increasing bit by bit which was fixed for every being since birth. It also was a solution to my greatest problem with my body that it's mana capacity was worse than a goblin because of which I primarily focused on the sword but with this I would able to use more of my past life techniques. Anyways I spent some time thinking about the possible answers to my questions but when I wasn't able to come up with any I just decided to pile it up as an extra benefit of this new body.

When I finally finished completely eating all the flesh which the lizard had to offer I decided it was finally time for me to go out of this cave in which I have spent my past few days growing and honing my skills of controlling the new body. After I exited the cave the outside view amazed me. I was inside a dungeon. A dungeon is a place which is paradise for both monsters and adventurers as it is a place filled with treasures and natural resources created by the high density of the mana within the dungeon. The dungeon within which I was now was an underground dungeon and the monsters which were found here were most likely the poisonous type due to the existence of the poison marsh around me which by the way was an good advantage for me as being an undead I was invulnerable to poison.
