The call quickly connected, and a customer service woman from the luxury car dealership answered. Following a few basic pleasantries, Adam cut straight to the chase with the customer service woman,

"Has a man named Erwin recently purchased a Ferrari from your store?" He had the speakerphone on, so everyone in the hall could hear. When Adam posed this question, the entire crowd held its breath, anxiously awaiting whether Erwin had been posturing as wealthy or the truth would be unveiled.

Daniel covered his face, afraid to consider what might come next, and was deeply worried about Erwin. Meanwhile, Adam donned an expression filled with triumph.

"Erwin, you're still just a poor boy, I'm going to make you accept your defeat this time, and humiliate you until you can't raise your head in front of everyone."

Most of the crowd doubted Erwin could afford a sky-high priced Ferrari in just three years after graduation. They subconsciously believed Erwin was faking wealth with a borrowed car.

Yet, the customer service woman's next words took them by surprise again. "Do you mean Erwin Smith? Mr. Smith did indeed purchase a Ferrari F12 and a Rolls-Royce Phantom from our store yesterday with a cash payment."

Her voice had barely faded when the attendees were shocked. "What? Erwin actually bought a Ferrari plus a Rolls-Royce Phantom?"

"This, this, how could this happen?" Adam was completely taken aback, confused. How could this supposedly poor man truly afford a Ferrari and a Rolls-Royce?

He quickly ended the call, but the customer service woman's words had already been heard by all, filling their hearts with surprise too vast for words. They had only sought to verify if Erwin was feigning wealth in front of them, yet the real identity of Erwin was even more intimidating than they imagined.

A Ferrari F12 alone was worth billions, not to mention the Rolls-Royce Phantom. The outcome was utterly unexpected. In essence, it not only proved Erwin was not poor but also confirmed his true identity was tremendously more daunting than what they had seen.

They felt bewildered, and some who had recently crossed Erwin privately regretted it. Andre was even more astounded into silence, feeling his achievements could not compare to Erwin's.

Leticia had assumed that Erwin's fake poor identity would be exposed, but everything reversed in a moment. Not only did the call prove that Erwin bought a Ferrari and a Rolls-Royce, but it also hinted his real identity far exceeded their imaginations, and she was incredibly taken aback.

"Impossible, how could this be, he was just a poor man, he can't afford these top-of-the-line luxury cars, this must be another scam."

Only Daniel sighed in relief and admired Erwin silently, for he had admired how Erwin had even colluded with the customer service woman.

Since before arriving, Erwin had told him he knew someone at the car rental, so Daniel inadvertently assumed Erwin had arranged it all in advance.

"Sorry everyone, I just wanted to attend the reunion normally, but I was afraid you'd think I was pretending to be wealthy, so I drove in on an inexpensive Ferrari, but never expected this outcome." Erwin smiled slightly. The Rolls-Royce Phantom was originally meant to lend a helping hand to Lucy and make some salespeople from yesterday regretful; he never intended to purchase it at all.

Yet now, this Rolls-Royce Phantom had become a significant support, leaving those at the scene full of regret.

Erwin's classmates were also startled by his words. What did he mean by attending the class reunion like a regular person? Choosing a less expensive Ferrari?

"Erwin, I truly apologize for not understanding the situation, so please disregard my earlier nonsense," one classmate quickly came forward to apologize to Erwin, understanding that someone who could afford such top-end luxury cars unquestionably had an exceptional status and must not be affronted. After the first apology, second, third, and others followed suit...

"That's fine, after all, we're all former classmates, I won't take such trivial matters to heart. It's this outsider here that stirred things up." Erwin gave a slight smile before pointing a finger in the direction of Adam, making it quite clear what he intended, 'Follow me and eject this fellow.'

Erwin's friends seemed to grasp his intent and approached Adam, "This is our university alumni gathering, please would you, an unrelated outsider, leave."

"Why should a non-alumnus join our party? Please, go away."

With the first and second person saying so, it didn't take long for the majority there to side with Erwin and expel outsiders like Adam.

Adam felt true anger, as a young master of the Sun Group, he had never faced such embarrassment and clenched his fist tight to strike Erwin, but seeing Daniel by Erwin's side, he immediately retracted the idea.

"Fine, Erwin, we shall see," Adam said through gritted teeth, then hurried off, with Leticia following her boyfriend, unintentionally believing Erwin must be concocting more lies and for some reason, succeeded again.

After both had left, Erwin once again became the focal point, but this time his interest was tepid. He engaged in small talk with them, had it not been for Lina's absence, Erwin would have already left.
