When Erwin entered, he found that most of his friends were already there, yet a quick glance around the room confirmed Lina was absent, which left him somewhat disappointed, but he swiftly adjusted his mood.

"Erwin, you finally made it, I heard you arrived in a Ferrari." But Andre's approach was not out of a desire to catch up with Erwin, but rather to test him.

Both had once competed for Lina's affections in college and were love rivals, nearly coming to blows, but after Lina went abroad, their quarrel had subsided.

Guided by his parents post-graduation, Andre had found significant success in the entertainment industry, becoming a production director within three years, earning an annual salary of a billion, a remarkable feat among their circle. He also drove a BMW X series.

Andre had thought himself the pinnacle of his peers, but Erwin's appearance in a multi-billion-dollar Ferrari shifted the attention, much to his chagrin.

"Yes, a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta." Erwin nodded with a neutral response, seemingly indifferent to Andre.

He was quickly surrounded by other male friends.

"Wang Cheng, where did you get so much money? You've even upgraded to a Ferrari, take me for a ride!" They naturally gravitated toward Erwin, leaving Andre aside.

Erwin was at a loss for words; revealing his true identity was out of the question, wasn't it?! So he deflected, discussing other matters.

Compared to the men, mostly engrossed in money-making talk, the women's eyes shone with a different light.

"Erwin seems to grow more handsome by the day; I adore a man who can drive a Ferrari one-handed." Many female friends wanted to get close, particularly since Erwin was now single post-breakup with Leticia, presenting them an opportunity.

"Leticia, it's fortunate you split from Erwin; otherwise, I wouldn't have stood a chance," a tall, beautiful female classmate said as she smoothed her hair before confidently walking toward Erwin.

Hearing this, Leticia trembled with rage but struggled to suppress her jealousy and anger.

"I'm in, I want to come too~" The other female classmates left Leticia behind and flocked to Erwin, reflecting a stark truth of class reunions: wealth attracts attention, and people seek out the affluent.

"These gold-digging women are really fooled by what they see from that poor guy." Leticia was livid, seeing how the man she'd discarded had become the women's prey, making her feel foolish. How could she not be angry?

"My dear, don't be upset, watch how I'll expose his lies." Adam, too, was displeased, watching Erwin encircled by girls.

"Well, he must be faking it, that Ferrari's likely a rental, it must be so, he couldn't afford one so quickly." Leticia consoled herself skeptically about Erwin's ability to purchase a Ferrari in mere days.

Adam smirked, corner of his mouth curling, and approached Erwin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, since Erwin has even bought a Ferrari, why doesn't he generously cover our class reunion expenses? What do you all say?" Adam raised his voice, speaking loudly.

This was Adam's cunning plan to unmask Erwin's facade. If Erwin wanted to play the wealthy man, he'd be forced to pay today's costs. Adam wanted to see how he'd manage such an expense.

Hearing this, Andre's eyes lit up immediately, being the first to concur.

"Indeed, Erwin's so wealthy, owning a Ferrari, the reunion dinner costs should be trivial to him!"

With these two championing the idea, most classmates quickly nodded along. After all, at 1 million per head for dinner, why wouldn't they favor a free meal?

Someone stood up, loudly agreeing, "Exactly, Erwin's got a Ferrari, so why not foot the bill for our reunion?"

While most attendees consented, a few were less enthusiastic, thinking it unfair to Erwin. Especially Daniel, close to Erwin, who quickly whisked him from the crowd to a corner, before Erwin could utter a word.

Adam, sensing something amiss with the burly man's actions, followed stealthily and eavesdropped.

"Bro, I'd advise against it. The venue and food alone are at least 60 million, and after the 600 million loan I took from you, your lottery win leaves only 400 million—this reunion's too extravagant, don't get trapped."

"Don't worry, I'm aware of my limits." Erwin's smile was slight; such a trivial sum wasn't worth his concern, seeing it as nothing more than treating friends to dinner.

While Daniel and Erwin whispered, Adam was able to listen in. Shocked to learn Erwin's lottery win, he muttered, "So he won a billion from the lottery, that explains the arrogance, but how foolish, lending 600 million to that heavy guy. It seems your pride is as I suspected, a mere act, and this Ferrari is likely just rented."

With this intel, Adam's smile was self-assured—Erwin was just a poor boy who'd won a lottery and suddenly come into a bit of money.

"It's our collective destiny to be gathered here; therefore, I will take care of all reunion costs, and increase the buffet rate per person to 2 million." Erwin's smile was mild as he stood and spoke out firmly. For him, such a small sum meant little.

His declaration left everyone stunned; Erwin's generosity was overwhelming, doubling the treat in one go.

His peers' admiration for Erwin soared, while the women scolded Leticia for foolishly forsaking such a talented and wealthy man. As support for Erwin grew among friends, Leticia's face soured.

"However, that individual is not one of our classmates, so he will cover his own expenses here." Erwin pointed toward Adam, the smirk plays at his lips. 'Dare to play with me? I'll entertain your petty game.'
