While Erwin was settling the bill, the middle-aged man who had been embracing the beautiful woman appeared not interested in shopping and left without a purchase.

A few of the salespeople came back empty-handed, feeling slightly pressured. They looked around the store for any sign of Erwin and Lucy but to no avail, prompting them to wonder, "Where have Lucy and that poor boy disappeared to?"

"Looks like they've left. I figured that poor kid couldn't possibly afford a car from here."

"Well, it's better they've gone. I really dislike customers who have no money but are quick to anger."

Several salespeople agreed with this sentiment, but just then, some internal staff came out chatting and walking along.

"Times have changed; people are so unpredictable. Who would have thought the perfectly average young man would outright buy the two most expensive luxury cars from our showroom?"

"Lucy's really struck it rich this time; looks like she's going to get a bonus of 200 million rupiah."

"Yeah, I'm actually quite envious of her."

Their conversation was inadvertently overheard by the nearby salespeople, stunning a few of them on the spot.

"D-did you guys hear that the so-called poor boy actually bought the two most expensive luxury cars here at once? Or did I hear that wrong?"

"That can't be right, they must have misunderstood. How can that kid afford luxury cars, let alone the most expensive ones in the store? This must all be a mistake."

The salespeople rushed to the payment office to confirm the news with the cashier and, coincidentally, encountered Lucy and Erwin exiting after completing the payment.

They quickly asked, feigning friendliness, "Lucy, how was serving this customer? Do you need our help?"

"No need, seniors, I'm really grateful you introduced such a high-class client to me. Young Master Smith here has purchased our two most expensive luxury cars." The naive Lucy expressed her thanks to them.

This made them quite regretful, but more so disbelief. "Do you mean to say this man actually paid for two top-end luxury cars outright?"

"Yes, if you don't believe me, you can check with the cashier. Anyways, I'm about to head out to test drive the cars with Young Master Smith. I might not be back this afternoon, the manager has given me permission to leave." Lucy spoke with excitement.

Today was not only the day she met Erwin, but it also turned out to be the day he helped her achieve her sales performance. Moreover, she would receive a commission of more than 200 million at the end of the month, making her incredibly satisfied. It truly was the happiest day for her.

Naturally, she had to thank Erwin properly, so after all formalities were taken care of, she took leave from her manager with the plan of treating Erwin to an indulgent meal to show her gratitude.

Erwin smiled and ignored the dumbfounded salespeople; he was feeling quite content now, wanting these senior salespeople to regret their misjudgment.

But at that moment, he was looking forward to the Ferrari test drive, especially with a beautiful woman like Lucy accompanying him.

The senior salespeople who watched Erwin and Lucy leave in conversation, happily chatting, felt profound regret, but it was too late for remorse—they should not have looked down on him in the first place.

This was the first time Erwin was driving a Ferrari, which naturally made him both nervous and excited.

"Lucy, where shall we go? I'll take you for a spin."

"Do you remember the place our club used to visit during college?" said Lucy nostalgically after buckling her seatbelt.

"The Wood Hotel? Then let's head there," Erwin replied. It had been a while since he visited the venue. He used to dine there with college friends, but hadn't been back since graduation and starting his job. Now, reuniting with an old friend like Lucy, he naturally wanted to revisit to reminisce about his college days.

Erwin drove the newly purchased black Ferrari, and the roaring engine filled him with a rush of excitement.

The Ferrari zoomed down the highway, drawing the gaze and envy of many.

"Erwin, when are you planning to marry Leticia?" Lucy asked hesitantly from the passenger seat, feeling very nervous about the topic.

"I've broken up with her. She's with a rich man now and dumped me because I had no money," Erwin chuckled slightly, indicating he didn't care much about it anymore.

"Really? That's her loss," Lucy felt unreasonably relieved and a touch happy on hearing this.

"What about you? You're so pretty, have you found someone?" Erwin remembered back in college, Lucy was pursued by many guys but always declined them. She had many rich and handsome suitors, yet she rejected them all, saying she was looking for someone who resonated with her thoughts.

"It's pretty rare today to find someone who truly loves literature, much less someone from college who can talk about it and discuss stories and novels with you," Erwin said, somewhat missing the college days. He had slowly suppressed his own dreams due to the harsh reality of life; otherwise, how could he have ended up as a car salesman.

"The college days are indeed the best! Lucy, how about I introduce you to a job related to what you love?" Erwin pondered for a moment. With Lucy's innocent personality, she wasn't really cut out for car sales, and it was possible the other salespeople would bully her again.

"Really? What kind of job?" Lucy had long detested this kind of sales work, only choosing it for survival.

"Working as a screenwriter!" Erwin had the idea that he would return to his company soon, and a successful program production needed a good script. Though Lucy had never scripted before, she had written novels and stories in college and had imagination and a style not shared by others. With a bit of training, Erwin believed Lucy could certainly become a good professional screenwriter.

"A screenwriter, is that possible?" Lucy was eager to try. She loved anything to do with storytelling, and the role of a screenwriter had long appealed to her.

"Yes, I have faith in your abilities. You'll surely thrive quickly, and besides, we'll be coworkers in the future, so if there's anything you don't know, just ask me," Erwin assured her with a smile.
