The following morning, Erwin departed after consuming a carefully prepared breakfast by Anita.

He was intent on purchasing a car. In the past, he lacked the funds to afford one. However, now that he had money, it was a given that he should acquire one, which had to be at least more expensive than a BMW.

"What's so special about a BMW? I'll buy a Ferrari!" Erwin remembered Adam driving a BMW X-series, priced around 1.2 billion, so Erwin thought to buy one that cost at least ten times more than Adam's.

If you have money, of course, you should buy a car, otherwise, what's the use of just keeping the money idle? Moreover, the next day was the class reunion, and surely arriving in a luxury car would be a bit more welcoming.

With this in mind, Erwin summoned a taxi and went directly to the car dealership in Bandung that specialized in selling expensive cars.

But today, Erwin was dressed very casually, wearing inexpensive attire and street shoes, which didn't resemble a wealthy individual whatsoever.

Fortunately, no security personnel approached to expel him this time, yet not a single salesman attended to him, ignoring him as if he was just a breeze passing by.

However, Erwin noticed some idle salesmen in the shop, but they completely overlooked him, because Erwin didn't dress like someone who could purchase an expensive car. They had sold cars for many years, so of course, they had such fundamental knowledge ingrained.

"Someone please, I wish to buy a car, the most expensive one in this store," Erwin grew slightly agitated. Did he truly appear impoverished? To the extent of being looked down upon.

"The most expensive car here is more than 12 billion, do you think you can afford it?" A young man in a tidy suit approached with a scornful tone.

"Whether I can afford it or not is none of your concern. Don't make me report your conduct, quickly arrange a professional salesperson for me," Erwin retorted coldly.

Hearing the threat of a report, the young man looked slightly apprehensive and hurriedly retreated.

The other salespersons, however, hesitated to serve a client like Erwin, who appeared to lack money but was irate, as they could face fines if Erwin complained.

"How about we have Lucy, the newbie, take care of him? She's still in the restroom, so she doesn't know about this customer's attitude," the senior salespeople whispered among themselves.

"I was thinking the same. After she comes back from the restroom, let's act kind and hand the customer over to her," a senior salesman replied.

"Then, it's settled." After a brief discussion among the sales seniors, Lucy, the subject of their conversation, just so happened to exit the restroom.

"Lucy, there's a new customer in the store looking at cars. As it happens, your performance this month isn't complete, so we've decided to assign this customer to you," the sales seniors feigned magnanimity as they passed Erwin along to her.

"Really? Thank you so much." Lucy seemed oblivious to the fact that the sales seniors had done this deliberately, and while speaking, she didn't forget to straighten her own attire and smile. After adjusting to the most comfortable state, she approached Erwin slowly.

"Hello, Sir, interested in looking at a car? Do you have a preferred brand?"

At that very moment, Erwin was examining a white Ferrari, and upon hearing the friendly voice, he instinctively looked towards the source.

Before him was a smooth and attractive girl in a tempting short black office skirt, but to Erwin, this beautiful woman seemed somewhat familiar, as though he had encountered her somewhere before.

As he struggled to remember, Lucy recognized Erwin first, but having not seen Erwin for several years, she was still somewhat uncertain and inquired tentatively, "You, Erwin?"

"Yes, you're Lucy, right?!" Upon being addressed by name, Erwin immediately recalled who this woman was - Lucy Gracia, the deputy head of the literary club back in college. At that time, Erwin joined the literary club due to his hobby and was very close to Lucy; their relationship was also notably cordial.

"Indeed, indeed, what a coincidence to run into you here." Lucy was overjoyed, as Erwin had been her most reliable person throughout college, and they often spent time together in the literary club, even discussing their future aspirations.

"Why are you working sales here? Weren't you working as a magazine editor?" Erwin recalled Lucy securing a job as a magazine editor after graduating college, and she had been quite delighted at the time, particularly because her profession and passion aligned. After a three-year absence, to find Lucy as a car salesperson here was quite shocking to Erwin.

"Let's not talk about it; in this age of the internet, who reads magazines anymore? To survive, I had to take this sales job." Lucy sighed, faced with reality, gradually relinquishing her dream.

Erwin was quite moved; the times were changing too rapidly, and if he wasn't careful, he too might fail to keep pace.

"And you? Did you become a producer?" Lucy still remembered Erwin telling her during college that he aspired to be a distinguished local producer who could eliminate the inferior film and television works from the market and launch unmatched masterpieces.

"Just like you, lost to reality," Erwin responded with a wry smile, as he indeed had been defeated by the harsh truths of life.

He had worked diligently at his previous company, eventually becoming the production director, but after offending the management, all his three years of hard work came to naught.

"It's okay, we can still keep working hard, as long as we're breathing, there's hope. By the way, did you come here to buy a car?" Lucy cheered up Erwin for a while, then asked curiously.

"Well, I'm looking to buy a Ferrari, what's the price on the priciest Ferrari you have here?" Erwin inquired absentmindedly.

Yet his words left Lucy momentarily speechless with surprise; she hadn't expected Erwin to have become so wealthy after not crossing paths for three years.
