After Damon sent Alice away, his expression became enthusiastic again. "Young Master, you have kept me waiting for quite a while, but finally, you have come to see me," he said.

Erwin did not expect Damon to be so eagerly welcoming toward him, which took him aback briefly, but he soon regained his calm.

Everything Damon had was based on the Smith family's industry. Moreover, at forty-five years old, his chances for promotion were virtually non-existent. But by following Erwin, who was scion to the Smith clan, and earning his trust, his future potential was boundless.

After all, the Smith family's industry was vast in this world, and the Smith consortium resembled an ocean in its breadth. As a Smith descendant, Erwin was destined to inherit this great business empire; thus, aligning with Erwin guaranteed a promising future.

Since the day the CEO called to inform him that Erwin was in Bandung and required his assistance, Damon had been eagerly anticipating this meeting. Of course, he would cater to Erwin's rare visit, as his own bright future hinged upon him.

"Young Master Damon..." Erwin began but was quickly corrected by Damon.

"You may address me as assistant Brown, Young Master. Do you have any commands for me today?" Damon lowered his stature and spoke.

"Yes, assistant Brown, I have two matters that I need your assistance with," Erwin responded casually.

"Just say what you need, Young Master. I've operated in this city for decades; I have contacts in both criminal and legal circles. Not to brag, but essentially, everything runs smoothly under my watch," Damon said, a touch of pride in his voice.

Erwin nodded, for Damon truly had the capability to make High Build Group one of the top businesses in the city. Hence, Erwin said, "I want you to help me acquire TG Entertainment. And it would be better if Dominic Davis could be removed from the board."

TG Entertainment was Erwin's former employer, and Dominic, his uncle Bashan's brother, was a significant shareholder and board member. If Erwin wanted the company back, Dominic had to go.

"No problem, leave it to me. Our High Build Group already holds shares in that company, so it'll just be a matter of directing someone to proceed with the acquisition," Damon replied, treating the takeover of TG Entertainment as a minor issue.

Erwin hadn't realized High Build Group held shares in TG Entertainment, making the task easier. Once the matter was settled, Erwin felt uplifted and added, "Also, arrange a comfortable living space for me; my current place is much too shabby."

"I will see to it at once. There are still two unlisted Crown Villas in Oak Bay. If the Young Master desires, I can make arrangements for a villa there," said Damon, smiling.

Oak Bay was a prestigious real estate development by High Build Group, with each luxurious villa valued over 40 billion rupiah. Yet Damon still considered housing the high-standing Smith prince in their midst slightly humble.

"That will do, arrange it for me, and I will move my belongings there later," Erwin said, pleased with Damon's efficiency.

"Very well, would you like me to drive you there?" Damon wished to spend more time with Erwin.

"No need, I'll take a taxi with my stuff; just have my residence arranged," Erwin replied, standing to leave. Approaching the door, he suddenly remembered something and turned to Damon, "By the way, keep my identity under wraps for now."

"As you wish, Young Master," Damon concurred earnestly and provided Erwin with his 24-hour service contact.

Once Erwin left the building and hailed a taxi via his phone, Damon had offered a personal ride, which Erwin declined to remain inconspicuous.

Exiting the building, the security guard showed Erwin respect and anxiously apologized.

"Sir, I'm truly sorry, I was just carrying out my duties earlier, I hope you can forgive and overlook..."

Before he could finish, Erwin smiled and interrupted, "It's alright, I take no issue with it; you were just doing your job."

Erwin saw no reason to fault the man, as he was merely fulfilling his duties, unlike the young, arrogant guard who had been dismissed.

Soon, a taxi arrived, and after Erwin got in, he returned to his rental to pack and prepare for the move. As the day wore on, hunger struck, so he considered dining out, but then came a knock at the door.

"Who would come visiting at this hour?"

Curious, Erwin opened the door and found a portly man.

"Daniel, what brings you to see me today?"

Erwin was surprised to see Daniel Johnson, his college friend, who had stayed in Bandung post-graduation and was working hard. Despite today not being a weekend, Daniel, who was usually very busy, had taken time out for Erwin.

"Let's go, I've taken the day off just to have a meal and some drinks with you," Daniel announced, draping an arm around Erwin.

Erwin was touched, as it was evident that Daniel knew of his breakup with Leticia and was feeling down, so he took time off to offer support—a true friend indeed!

"Alright, it's rare for you to treat, let's go," Erwin agreed, his appetite aligned with the moment.

The pair sat down in a ground-floor eatery chatting over bottles of beer and skewers of satay. Daniel did not miss the chance to lend some solace,

"You know, I've always found Leticia somewhat untrustworthy. It's good you're done with her; women like her deserve to be left."

“I've put that all behind me now, but how is your girlfriend doing these days?” Erwin semi-reluctantly inquired.

Daniel's girlfriend, Agnes Allen, had been with him since college. Despite not being strikingly beautiful, they were well-matched. Unthinkably, she was diagnosed with uremia, needing a kidney transplant to survive.

"The surgery costs around 600 million at least," Daniel said somberly.

"What about her parents?” pressed Erwin.

"They're from the countryside. They can't afford it. Agnes had to borrow for college and only recently paid it off," Daniel said, downing more beer.

"So, what's your plan?" inquired Erwin, contemplating aid if Daniel intended to stay with Agnes.

"What can I do? She's my one true love. I thought of asking my parents for money, but they disagree with the relationship, let alone financing it. So, I'm saving up myself," Daniel confessed.
