Training Part 3 Close combat

It's been three months, since the training camp begun. Everyone was trying hard to get better marks in order to get in the top ten. For the last few months, they have been practicing with their odm gear in the forest. The instructors observed their improvement and gave them ranks based on their performance. But today, they were going to have some new training.

In the morning, all the cadets gathered at the training field as the instructor was standing on the stage. Instructor Keith said, " Well, everyone of you had a great improvement in using odm gear. But now I think, it's time for testing your physical ability as a soldier. Today's training will be a hand to hand combat. Everyone of you will compete against any one of you guys. Those who will win the more, they will got a good rate for the next test."

Hearing Instructor Keith's command, everyone got ready for the training. Eren was also confidence enough to win any battle. Reinar suddenly hold Eren from behind and said, "Hey Eren. What are you gonna do now? Have you think about anyone for a challenge?"

" Well, no. But I am pretty sure to win in a hand to hand combat against anyone." Eren replied.

Meanwhile, Jean was staring at Eren from a distance. He remembered the kick Eren gave him and he wanted to take revenge. So , Jean went toward Eren and challenge him for a fight. " Hey little maniac kid. I want to beat the crap outta you. So accept my challenge." Jean shouted at Eren. Eren got angry and accepted the challenge.

Meanwhile, a few fights begun already. Diablo easily defeated a guy named Thomas. Marco was defeated by Steven within a second. Sasha and Connie was making fun of each other as the instructor caught them and told them to carry a sand bag on their shoulder.

Reinar was also got a fight with a black haired long Boy, named Berthold. It was quite a balance battle as Reinar somehow submitted Bertold. After the battle, Berthold stood up and shook his hands with Reinar and said him, " You have had a lot of improvement on your skills. Guess, I am only remaining weak in the group." "Don't worry about that, you will always the strongest among us whatever happens." Reinar replied to Bertold.

Meanwhile, the fight between Eren and jean was about to begin. Jean was already angry at Eren so he charged at Eren directly. Eren dodged every punches from jean and countered with few punches. Jean couldn't dodge at the beginning and got hit by a few punches, but he somehow dodged a punch and grabbed Eren's head and tried to choke him. But Eren kicked Jean's knee. At this point, Jean lost his balance and Eren took advantage of it. Eren grabbed his arm and then took him down and locked his arm with an arm bar. Jean begun to scream in pain at that moment and the instructor then stopped the fight and declare Eren as the winner.

Jean was angry and disappointed at himself and stared at Eren in a raged eyes. Eren give a hand to help Jean to get up. But Jean slapped Eren's hand and leave the place to ignore Eren. Reinar came close to Eren and told him, " That was awesome , Eren. You are really good at hand to hand close combat."

Eren was flustered by the word of Reinar, but he told Reinar," Well, you also won your fight. What about we fight next?" "I appreciate it, but I already gave a challenge to someone." Reinar replied.

" Who are you gonna fight?" Eren asked him. Reinar pointed at a blonde haired tall girl, standing alone under a tree, " it was her. Her name is Annie Leonhart. She is quite but she is even stronger than you." Reinar told this to Eren.

Reinar and Annie got in the battle field. Annie got in her defensive pose while Reinar was getting ready for got a hit on her. But the battle turned out as an one-sided battle. Reinar charged toward Annie but Annie stretched her legs and hit a kick on Reinar's neck.. Reinar got knocked out with a single attack by Annie.

Eren was shocked and curious at this. Berthold helped Reinar and tried to hold him up. He said to Annie with a smile, " You should atleast go easy on others. Your technics are not something that everyone use." Annie replied, " They have no use in my duty, so I will use those when I can use." And then tried to ignore everyone.

Eren went near to Reinar to check him. Reinar told him, " I am alright. It's a shame I couldn't even made a move. She is pretty good technically. What about you challenge her in a battle." Eren was pretty shocked hearing this and said, " If you don't get a chance against her, how can I fight her ?" "Fool, it's not about winning. If you fight her you could also figure her technic. After all you are good at hand to hand combat." Reinar said this to Eren.

Eren then went to Annie but he had no intention to fight her. So he told her," Wow, you got some cool technics. Can you taught me those?" Annie looked annoyed at this and told him, " Why are you interested in those useless moves? You are making me annoying." But Eren kept trying as he said, " Well, those moves are quite amazing to me. If you please show me that again, I can learn that."

Hearing that, Annie got angry and said," if you want so badly, then let me show you." As she finished talking, she grabbed Eren's neck through his arms and kicked in his knee from behind and took down Eren. Eren was shocked and scrambled in pain. Reinar ran toward the spot to stop Annie . But before he could reach there, Mikasa was grabbing Annie's collar.

Armin was checking on Eren as Eren said, " I am fine." As Reinar quickly went to Eren and apologize to him. Reinar said, "It was just a joke. I didn't think you will take this seriously." Eren replied, " Well, it was my fault to get in fight with her." Armin stopped them and looking at Mikasa and Annie, he said, " You might be fine, but things are not okay there." As Mikasa was still giving Annie a death stare and holding her collar.

The others quickly tried to separate both. Mikasa screamed at Annie ," If you ever hurt Eren again, I will kill you." Hearing that, Annie laughed at her and said, " Well, it was Eren who wanted to get those moves. So don't blame me for hurting your boy. " Hearing that, Mikasa got more angry but Eren and Armin tried to calm her down.

Meanwhile Steven, Reinar and Berthold tried to stop Annie. But Mikasa said her, " Well , then what about you show me your moves. If I win, you will never mess with Eren." Annie laughed at this and accepted her challenge. Everyone got excited to see the face off between two of the strongest girl in the training camp. But Eren and Armin was worried about Mikasa.

Mikasa and Annie got in there position as the cadets began to cheer for both. The instructor ordered to begun the battle. Annie got into her defensive pose as Mikasa was staring at her. Annie went for a kick in the back of Mikasa's head but Mikasa blocked that with her hands and grabbed Annie's legs and then tossed her on the ground. Annie stood up in a shock as she was removing her hair from her face.

Mikasa said, " Is this what you got?" Annie than got a bit angry and goes for the same technic which she used against Eren. She grabbed Mikasa's neck through her arm. But she failed to take her down as Mikasa blocked that. Then Mikasa reversed the move and tossed Annie on the ground and locked her neck with her arms. Everyone including Eren was shocked as Annie was struggling to get free from Mikasa's grip.

As Annie was about to passed out, the instructor stopped the fight and declared Mikasa as the winner. Everyone except Eren and Armin, was shocked at Mikasa's strength. Annie was struggling to get up as Christa came to her and said, " You shouldn't be rude with everyone. You should be friends with everyone. Let me help you." Annie just looked at the ground and said nothing.

Eren and Armin told Mikasa to be calmed and forgive Annie. Mikasa thought about it and at the end decided to forgive Annie for hitting Eren. But the three of them got worried as they got into a fight without the instructor's permission.

Later that day , in the evening, the instructor Keith told them the results of that days training. He said," First of all todays training was a complete mess. Most of you violated the rules and got in fight without permissions. As it was your first hand to hand combat season, that's why I am not gonna fired anyone. But this will be the last warning, so be careful from next time." Hearing this the trio and the other cadets got relieved.

Annie went to Crista and thanked her for the help. Then she went to Eren and Mikasa for apologizing. Mikasa forgave her as they shook their hands. Eren and Armin was quite happy that everything was back to normal. Meanwhile Armin was blushing to see Annie in the soft mood. Thus a crazy day in the training corps came to an end.
