Training Part 2 – Approval

After being failed in the 1st attempt, Eren became desperate to do this again. Instructor Keith also allowed him to try again. But in the next time, he again failed to balance and he hit his head on the canvas hard. Most of the cadets laughed at Eren as they saw him failing twice in a row. Instructor Keith told him, " Give up kid. You are not suitable for military if you can't balance your self with the odm gear. "

Hearing Keith's words, Eren felt sad and angry at himself. But he refused to give up. Keith understood that Eren was a stubborn kid, who will not give up his goal. So he gave Eren 1 day to prove him wrong and pass the test, even though his mind was against this. Eren was glad in his mind but he made a sad face. With this, instructor Keith left the training ground.

It turned out evening, but Eren was still trying his best to make a balance, but he failed everytime. Mikasa and Armin was also there with him. He asked them for give him some help. Mikasa gave him some advice, but even though they were just useless for Eren. As it becoming dark outside, Eren called it a day.

As Eren returned to the cabin, some of the cadets were making fun of him. They teased him as a failure and told him to leave before being humiliated again. Mikasa warned them to stop. Seeing Mikasa angry face, they stopped teasing him and leave him alone. After a few moment, all of the cadets went to the canteen to have dinner.

In the canteen, while Eren was taking his meal, Jean was making fun of Eren as he was saying, " The foods should not be wasted by feeding a loser like you. What a shame, we have a loser in this camp." Hearing those Mikasa was about to get up from her seat and beat him, Eren suddenly kicked in the knee of Jean. At this Jean fall down and his head hit the table.

Jean was almost unable to move his legs, and he was screaming at pain. Eren grabbed his neck and goes near to his face, " Have you ever faced a titan one on one without proper weapon? I faced that and survived that. So who are you calling loser, you damn horse face." Hearing those, everyone in the canteen got silent. Eren released his neck and went back to his table.

A few minutes later, instructor Keith came to the canteen. "I heard a sound coming from here a few minutes ago. What was that ?" Mikasa replied that, " It was actually Jean. He got slipped and fall down." Nobody in the room found the courage to tell the truth. Then instructor Keith than cheak on Jean and took him to the medical room.

After eating Eren get back to the training field with Armin and Mikasa. Suddenly a white hair boy came to them and pointing at Eren, he said with a smile, " So you are Eren Yeager. You have got some good moves." Eren kind of a annoyingly asked him, " Who are you and what do you want?" The boy replied, " My name is Steven Tybur. I was actually searching for someone, but now you made me curious. You truly have some guts, man."

"Don't you see I am busy now. Go and find that person you are searching. Why are you disturbing me?" Eren kind of a screamed at him. Steven replied ," well, I want to help you. Your guts actually remind me of someone I know. He was a sore loser, but he never gave up and he got to the top. So, I wanted to help you. " Eren was kind of a happy, but agreed to take his help silently.

Steven began to give Eren instructions when he tried to hang in the mid air. But for some reason Eren was unable to maintain the balance. Eren told Armin and Mikasa to go to sleep. Both of them went back to the cabin, as both of them were tired. Eren was also tired so they stopped the training for some rest.

Steven was talking about himself to Eren , while they were interrupted by Reinar Braun. "What the hell are you doing here, Steven? He asked Steven. " Oh, Reinar. I was just helping Eren." Steven replied with a smile.

Reinar then looking at Eren, " So you are that crazy dude. Well, thanks for beating the shitty horse face, he was also making many others pissed off ." "Well , I really lost my calm there. I guess I should apologize to him." Eren replied.

Than Reinar move his hand forward, " I am Reinar Braun. I wished to save the humanity. Guess, we could be friends." Eren shook his hand ," I am Eren Yeager. I wanted to kill all the titans that takes my freedom."

Steven asked him, " Is there anything happened that you want to kill all the titans." Eren replied in the positive and told them his story about how his mother died, how his home got destroyed. Reinar and Steven felt sad for him. Meanwhile, Steven noticed the belt Eren was wearing was not looked okay. So he told Eren to give him the belt for a moment.

He took the belt and tried to fix the broken part. He managed to make it looked like his one . Then he told Eren to try again. Eren nervously tried again and he was more stable than his previous effort. But it was still hard for him to keep the balance. Steven told him," Do you really want to do this with a broken equipment?"

Hearing that Eren realized that he was being failure because of the broken equipment. Eren told them, " Can you fix this? I can't change the equipment without the instructor order. Guess he trapped me." Steven and Reinar looked at him for a moment, then Steven said, " Ok, we will try to fix the hook as much as possible. But that still wouldn't be stable." Eren replied ," it will be okay."

Then three of them try to fix the hook so that he could balance properly. Then Eren tried again but he only managed to stay stable in the mid air for less than 20 seconds. Seeing Eren fall again, Steven and Reinar suggest Eren to take rest so that he could be fit for tomorrow's test. Eren accept their proposal and get back to cabin for a sleep.

Next morning, in the training ground, everyone gathers as instructor Keith was observing Eren in the middle. Eren wore his equipment properly and got ready for the test. Mikasa and Armin was also tensed about Eren . Before the test begun, instructor Keith told everyone, " Well cadets. Before we begin, I want you to know that cadet Jean Kristen has broke his legs and will be out of training for a month." Hearing that, Eren thought, " I haven't hit him that hard. "

Then instructor Keith ordered Eren to begin his test. Eren got ready and stood in the middle of the stand. As the rope was pulling by a machine, Eren was being in the mid air. This time Eren was more stable than before and was able to keep his balance. But 26 seconds later he begun to lose his balance and fall down. Eren was really frustrated at himself.

Other cadets except for Mikasa, Armin, Steven and Reinar, laughed at him. Instructor Keith went near him in a shocked face. He told Eren to remove his equipment and pointing at Armin, " Hey kid, give him your equipments. " Armin hurriedly gave Eren his equipments and Eren wore that. Then instructor Keith told Eren, " now try again kid."

Eren again tried to balance in the midair and this time he successfully kept his balance. Eren was happy to successfully done the test. Everyone was shocked at him. Mikasa and Armin was also relieved that Eren passed the test.

After Eren came back down, instructor Keith told him, " I am really shocked you were able to balance yourself. Well, that's prove you are really his son. I couldn't stop him neither you. You passed the test." Hearing those, Eren was both shocked and happy. He politely replied, " Thank you ,sir." Armin and Mikasa hugged Eren with joy. Then Eren thanked Reinar and Steven for the help.

Eren was celebrating his victory and the cadets were talking to him. Eren got acknowledged as a strong cadet by others. Meanwhile instructor Keith got near Eren and said him," Well, as you passed today's test , you are staying in. But that doesn't mean I am gonna forgive you for violating rules of training camp. Fighting with any cadet is forbidden here. So you have to run 50 rounds around the whole training camp and it's began now." As this instructor Keith shouted at him. Eren screamed and begun to run as the others laughed at this.
