John :- " Don't you think the teacher will look for us ? "

Mark :- " They will but how would they know we have fallen here ? "

Lisa :- " Yeah . Then how do we get out ? "

Wait ..... I remember something .

Me :- " John , give me the flashlight . "

John :- " Why ? "

Me :- " Please . "

He gives me his phone and I run to one side of the room . There is a pattern . It seems a window but is blocked with a heavy stone . And by its side there is a medium sized wheel . I think if we rotate this wheel , this window can be opened .

Mark :- " What are you doing ? "

Me :- " Look , I think it's a window blocked with stone and it can be opened . "

Mark :- " How ? "

Me :- " This wheel "

I try to rotate two wheel but it's so hard because of the hinges .

(Mark comes forward)

Mark :- " Let me do this . "

He tried to do it alone but it's really hard . We both try and there is a loud crack . John and Lisa run to us . The stone slab that was blocking the window comes down making a path to go to the other side .

Lisa :- " Woww Bella .... you are amazing . How did you notice it when nobody did ? "

I smile a little .

Mark :- " What are we waiting for ? Let's go then ."

(But John doesn't leave his spot)

Me :- " What happened John ? "

John :- " I won't go anywhere ."

Me :- " What ? Why ? "

John :- " You all have gone crazy . We don't know where we are , we don't know what danger is lurking inside this cave or whatever . And you want to go snooping around ! Searching for what exactly ? I am staying here . The teachers must be searching for us . They will come here too . We fell down outside this room . I'll wait for them there . You can go wherever you want . "

Mark :- " Your are the one who is crazy here . How would the teachers know where we are ? "

John :- " They must notice the pit and come to rescue us . "

Me :- " John , we are far form our camping area . We followed Lisa's trail , remember ? "

John :- " I will shout loudly. They must hear me just like we heard Lisa . "

Mark and I looked at each other . He nods.

Mark :- (Calmly) " John , they may come they may not . If we go forward , we may find something , maybe another exit . But if we stay here we will surely die within a few days . Both choices have uncertainly. But isn't it better to at least try and other than sitting Idly ? You are the one who said that , didn't you ?

Wow ! I would have never thought he could talk like this . John should be convinced .

John :- (Looks puzzled..... but shakes his head) No , no , you go . I won't come with you .

Me :- " We can't leave you John . "

John :- " Why ? Because I have light ? "

Me :- " You really think so ? Your phone can't lead us to the whole path . We have to think of another option . We can't leave you because this place is dangerous and mysterious all the more reasons of our sticking together . "

Lisa :- (Taking John's both hands in her own) John , I know you are stressed . We all are . We too want to get out of this place as soon as possible . But if we sit here and die , we will regret that we didn't try . You always say everybody should help themselves . Let's try at least , hm ? "

John :- " But ... "

Lisa :- " You know very well that it's unlikely for the Teachers to know that we fell in a pit . "

(John remain silent for a few seconds)

John :- " Hmm . But we have to find another light now . My phone will die any minute . "

Wow ! Mark and I said the same thing . He didn't change his mind then . I never thought John would listen to Lisa . I thought he would blame her for everything again . But..... well it's good .

Mark :- " So what do we do ? "

Me :- " I have a scarf and a spray and matches . "

John :- " I saw some woods here . "

Mark :- " Let's make a fire torch then . "

We make a fire torch . Then..... wait , is the window closing ?

Me :- " Guys , hurry . It's closing . "

John :- " What ! "

We hurriedly pass the window . Immediately after we come to this side , it closes . We all looked at each other .

Lisa :- " D-do you..... do you think....?

Mark :- " There is no going back now ."
