Chapter 3

From a middle school to high school, we were together. Sometime he went on date with his so called cousin. I dated so many boys in high school but I never felt a spark. There was a time when I imagined Edward sitting in front of me instead of that person with whom I went on date.

I was on my way back to home after a date when I heard someone saying,

..."The only thing that matter is love. One should not give up before trying"....

This was the time when a thing came to my mind how can I give up on him without even trying. I want to know maybe Edward is not Amelia (Cousin name) soulmate.

Next day

I woke up and got ready for school. I skipped my breakfast to meet Edward. When I entered school's corridor, I saw Edward standing with his friends.

He saw me and gave me a little smile. My heart skipped a beat. He excused his friends and came to me and said, "Hey, Jess you are early today. Don't tell me you skipped your breakfast."

"Can he read my mind" that was what came to my mind. I was snapped out of my thoughts when he said, "I knew this, come on let's get you some breakfast first". He took my hand and dragged me along him. My heart was pounding so hard and I could feel my cheeks heat up.

When we reached cafe he let go of my hand and looked back. He cupped my face and asked, "Are you having a fever .. Why are you so red"?

Stop doing this Edward or I will die. I held his hands and said, "I am fine". He said, "No, let's go to doctor". "I'm really fine Ed", I told him.

After having breakfast with him we left for the class. During whole lecture I was looking at Ed. "Miss. Jessica are you listening me"? Teacher suddenly asked me. I stood up and said, " Yes". "Care to explain what I just taught you" she asked with a creepy smile on her face.

I just told her everything .. That god I have a good memory. "You can sit down and stop day dreaming in my class" She said. I sat down and Ed was looking at me and he mouthed me, "What were you doing"? I replied with sign, "Nothing".

After school I was waiting for him at main gate. I saw Edward coming out .. But as soon as he was out I saw Amelia running toward him .. She hugged Edward. I felt a pain in my chest ... This is the first time I am feeling this after seeing him with Amelia. A tear escaped my eyes.

I was standing there when Edward saw me. He came toward me with Amelia while holding her hand. "Were you waiting for me Jess. I am sorry I have some plans with Ami .. Sorry I didn't informed you" Edward said.

I looked into his eyes and playfully said, "Yah, why will I wait for you. I was waiting for Jacob .. You know that guy we met last week". Edward was looking at me like I somewhat did some crime.

Amelia said to Edward that she will be waiting for him in car and left. He took a last glance at me and said in annoyed tone, "Ok fine" .. in the last he said something in low voice and left. I was stading there heartbroken.
