"I am so happy that you finally agreed to get married to me next year Mike!" Fiona hugged me tightly and chirped.

"Yeah" I mumbled coldly sipping on my cigerette unbothered about her.

"Come on Micheal.. don't be such a baby now!" She pouted and threw me down in bed climbing above my body slowly.

"Are you again thinking about that bitch? Was she so good in sucking your ****?" She said trying hard to act seductive with her roaming hands over my jeans unbuttoning it while I just laid there saying it back coldly, flicking my cigerette away.

"Don't call her a bitch! She's is not!"

"Bitches lurk up and **** the men who belong to other women.. And you have always belonged to me Mike! She WAS a bitch, a dirty fucking *****!" She continued roaming her hands over my chest, cupping my face and was just about to kiss me saying that when I slapped her cheeks tightly from the back of my hand and she fell off the other side of my body on the bed.

"Aaahh! WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH YOU MIKE!?" She yelled irritated.

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO BADMOUTH HER!" I roared back.

"That *****!" She glared at me again when I just walked over and grabbed her hairs, pulling her heads up bringing it to my level and spat back at her.

"Whores try to seduce men. Aren't you trying to seduce me right now Fiona Goods?! Aren't YOU a ***** right now?!"

"WE ARE GETTING MARRIED MICHEAL!!"

"WELL WE AREN'T YET MARRIED FIONA!" I yelled back and she was stunned.

"What the heck Mike?! You just told uncle Davidson that you were going to marry me next year!" She said in a calmer voice this time.

"I JUST-" I head to my personal mini bar in the corner of my room and made myself a drink.

Gulping it down my throat I looked at her and said, "I don't want to **** you right now. So just leave!" I said calmly.

She looked at me surprised at the kind of word I just used and when she saw me not regretting it, she picked up the cushion and threw it my way in anger.

"THEN GO **** YOURSELF!! RUTH IS NOT COMING BACK!!" She screamed and left the room with a loud thud of the door slamming shut.

'Ruth is not coming back'

This sentence.. I have heard it so many times that I have completely lost count of it.

Four years ago she ran away.. And where did she go?

How did she manage to leave the states?

None of us could get it figured out.

At this point, we don't even know if she is alive or dead

It's been four god-damned years....

I wonder, if she is alive.. what has she been upto?

I pushed the remaining alcohol down my system and started thinking about her...

"Are you bored?" Brian whispered softly leaning into the crook of my head while I was trying very hard to keep faking my smile through my husband's companies' 167th anniversary party.

"So so much!" I whispered back with the exact same softness leaning backwards into the crook of Brian's neck smiling to the old woman talking moons and stars with me.

"I am so sorry!" He chuckled softly. "for making you go through this!"

"Well, you are going to give me a foot massage for this after we head back home hubby!" I replied to Brian and then turned to the old woman's husband who was now talking moons and stars, basically praising my husband's work capabilities.

"You two look very beautiful with each other!" The old man remarked as Brian wrapped his arms protectively around my waist and pulled me closer against himself.

"Well this woman better look good tonight as she took exactly three hours to get ready!" Brian said pulling up his cheeky attitude and I glared at him through the whine glasses we were both drinking through.

"And now, the announcements for the annual promotions..!" The host announced and we all turned our heads towards the stage.

"Finally!" Brian took a deep loud breath into the crook of my neck again loosening his grip around my waist.

"Say hello to the next chief editor of Nation's pride!" Brian winked at me and there the announcer spoke out his name.

"Brian Lewis, the new chief editor of our magazine, Nation's Pride!"

I turned my head around, the smile curling huge across my lips as the whole place applauded for my husband and he winked at me.

"Told ya!"

A few more staffs being announced as promoted later, the host told us to enjoy the evening and Brian took my hands into his slowly bringing it upto his lips..

He kissed my knuckles and quickly pulled me inside his arms wrapping his other arm around my waist as we headed to the dance floor together.

"So, Mr. Chief Editor, what is the company offering you for this position now?"

"Hmm... let's see wife! A 4 BHK flat and a car.. how does that sound?" Brian shot his eyebrows up once looking at me with his cute smile and I could do nothing but just stare at his face...

Dressed in a fairly expensive suit, probably the only one that he owns in his wardrobe today, he was looking so edible.

Oops! Did I say edible?

"I can't wait to-" As I was just in the middle of replying Brian, a young woman dressed in a black ball dress walked over to us and excused Brian away from me.

"I'm so sorry munchkin, but I'm sure you don't mind if I steal your husband for a couple of minutes right?"

"Uhh-" I was in the middle of responding that woman when Brian replied instead of me.

"Oh no, not at all Miss Harper!"

Brian quickly grabbed my waist and pecked my lips

"Give me two minutes wife!"

"...." I pulled a half-way smile not very happy about the idea as the woman called Miss Harper smirked at me raising her toast.

"Enjoy the party Mrs. Lewis!"

Oh, I will! I'm sure!

I took a deep sigh and head to the bar to sit up and placed an order for my drink.

He said two minutes and two sets of half hour passed.

He didn't come back.

"Excuse me, may I know where is Mrs. Harper's suite?" I asked the receptionist and she told me.

"Room no. 2308"

"Thanks!"

I walked upto the door only to find Brian opening the door. His hair was a mess and his breathing, a little muffled up.

"Ruth?"

I looked inside and there was Miss. Harper sitting on the couch, crossing her legs and drinking the very last sip of her whine.

"Mrs. Lewis!" She said coldly, without looking at me.

"If you're done, can we leave?" I asked Brian.

Brian turned around and looked at the woman inside...

"Sure!"

"NOW!" I glared at Brian and he came out closing the door behind.

Throughout the lift and the lobby, back to our car we didn't speak a word to each other.

"Are you serious? You think a woman like Miss Harper, would show her interest in someone like me?!" Brian said, his hands on steering.

"Who knows! These money lurking, gold digging bitches marry old hags and sucks up to their employees for their sexual satisfaction!" I shrugged fuming in anger.

Brian chuckled hard.

"Ohkay, now you're being dramatically wrong, Ruth... What is wrong with you?"

He tried to touch my shoulder but I just jerk away his hands off me

"No, Brian! I'm serious here! I left my job to take care of YOUR daughter while you shine high at YOUR CAREER!"

"Uh.. Irene is your daughter too Ruth!" Brian said cheekily again trying to crack jokes in between when I just shot him the look

"When do you even have time for me? All I do is take care of you and your house! Do you even remember the last time we went out? It's our third wedding anniversary this weekend, tell me did you remember about it at all?" My nostrils were flaring.

"....." Brian shook his head silently and a second later his cellphone rung.

"Do you want me to take it or it disturbs your we time with me too?" Brian asked.

"....." I didn't say anything just crossed my arms and stared out of my side of the window.

He attended the call and put it on speaker.

"Hello, am I talking to Mr. Brian Lewis from London, Street 5?"

"Yes!"

"We got a booking from your side on this weekend for our resorts in Hawaii for this weekend under the name of you and Mrs. Ruth Lewis, should we confirm it?"

Brian shot me a teasing look and I felt so stupid for being so hard on him with all the screaming just now

"Uhh, sorry dude! I don't really think my wife is in a mood for a vacation right now... So you should just go ahead and cancel it!" Brian replied.

Just about the time he was to disconnect the call I grabbed back the cellphone from Brian's hand and hurriedly spoke to the manager

"No..no..no.! Don't cancel it!" I looked up at Brian apologetically and continued, "Confirm it. We're coming for a stay this weekend"

"Alright ma'am, have a nice day!"

"Thank You!" Brian replied disconnecting the call with a smirk on his face as he silently got back to the driving.

I bit my lower lip feeling all guilty and everything and before he could laugh it away I just grabbed him and planted a rough kiss on his right cheek.

"I love you!"

"Now you know, I love you too!" He winked at me playfully.
