Episode 4

At the Dining Table:

"Mana's POV"

Everybody was having dinner in awkward silence. I broke out this silence; "Where is dad? Are not dad coming to home again? "

My younger brother Alexander spoke out;" Yes Mom! why dad is not home again? I want to dine with him." He pouted while saying this.

"Oh my dear children, your dad is busy in work, you all know it better, how tiring work is it being in military!" Mom satisfied us.

"Then leave the military, why dad ignore our time?" I asked mom in anger.

Bella laughed at my question;" I am glad to know that you care about these things." Mom stared her and spoke up" I will talk to your dad."

I was amazed at Bella's reaction and was thinking what's so funny about this, I do care about everyone, It is normal but the fact is I don't show my concern to everyone.

After this everyone finished thier meals and went to their respective rooms.

when I was trying to sleep in my bedroom, I heard a voice full of Anger.

"it's dad again" I sighed while lying on bed.

After a while, thier voices become louder and even mom was yelling at dad.

"Are they quarrelling" I said to myself.

I got up from the bed and went forward to thier room. I watched both of them were arguing over something but my heart got ached at the words of dad.

"I should have divorced you but I can't. I can't do it for the sake of my child" His anger was at peak that time

I clenched my fists and thought *"you should do the things as you wish Dad, why making us the bait."*

I moved back towards my room and we're trying to calm myself. But those words were hitting me hard both in my mind and heart. I was just questioning myself "why?" There were lot of questions related to this single word "why" but couldn't even ask it to myself too. "I think I'm too coward."(I smirk).

Next Morning:

Mom came into my room to woke me up but when she touched me, I was burning hot in fever. she got worried.

"Oh my God! what happened to you? why are you burning hot?"

she called maid and asked her to call father and tell him about my condition.

I was half awake."I am alright Mom" you know I can bear fever very efficiently. Because I am your strong child"

she laughed with teary eyes; "I Know you are my strong child. But you have to take care of yourself. didn't you sleep well? I told you to sleep on time and not study much. why you don't listen to me?" Her tone changed from soft to harsh but still same caring face before me. Her hands caressing my head were making me peaceful deep down my soul. And I simply smiled to her.
