Chapter 5

Roca opens his eyes, he's sitting down while leaning on a tree, "am i back? are the bandits gone?" Roca looks around and sees that the fire has been put out, he sees the villagers crying and standing over something, Roca stands up and walks towards them, "huh seems like my injuries are healed" after getting closer to the crowd he smells something horrid, "what is this smell, it smells like rotten flesh" he thought.

after getting closer he looks at the blankets on the ground covering something, after a while, he finally realized, "i...i am so sorry..." he then kneels and takes a praying position, after done praying he looks over to a pile of dead bodies beside a fire, "...those are the bandits i reckon" Roca walks towards the pile of bodies, Amy sees this and starts to walk towards him, "are you okay?".

Roca looks at Amy while walking, "not really my first time killing humans, so i'm pretty okay" Amy looks at the pile of bodies, "these bastards keep on coming, we asked a couple of the bandits that we captured alive and they've said that there's still a lot of them" Amy and Roca stops in front of the fire, "...if not for you being here, we were the one's that was supposed to be in this fire, now that you've seen what situation we are in, can you please consider living here?".

Roca feels troubled once again, he's done all he could but he feels like he can do more, "...i passed out after two hits, i'm not as amazing as you think i am, i'm just a man that has a weird power" Roca looks at the mark on his hand, "what do you mean by that?" Roca and Amy turns around to see that the old man is walking towards them, "yes you did get defeated pretty easily, but that doesn't mean you are weak".

"Roca, you are still young, you can learn how to fight with a sword and how to control your power here, if you think that you are weak then stay here, once you're ready to leave then you can leave, we won't stop you" the old man smiles while handing him his sword, "...you're right, since i am still pretty weak i might as well stay here and train" Roca smiles at him and takes the sword, "my name is Taiko, and i welcome you to the village of Tempar"

A MONTH LATER

Roca is outside sparring with Amy while Clara and Rika watch from the sides, "is that really all you got after a month of training?" Amy parried his sword and throws it out of his hands, "you're just too good at using the sword, i can't beat you" he picks up the sword and sheathes it, "hey come on, he's getting better isn't he? that's good enough!" Rika says while walking towards Roca while holding a cup of water.

"here you go, drink up" Rika smiles and hands him the cup, "thank you, I'm pretty exhausted" Roca drinks the water and looks at Amy, "so, any information about the bandits?" Amy's face turns serious, "not for now, but when we do find some information, we'll tell you immediately" Roca nods and walks away, "I'll go patrol the woods for a bit" Rika catches up to Roca, "I'll go with you".

Roca wears his leather armor and grabs his sword, Rika grabs her bow and quiver, "let's go then, shall we?" the two then walks outside and into the forest, they looked around and kills any aggressive and dangerous animals and monsters that they see, "quite a lot of monsters today, something's going on" Roca looks around, "hey Rika, do it" Roca looks at Rika while stabbing his sword on the ground.

"got it!" Rika closes her eyes, "found the source, seems like a goblin made a small camp near the river and inside a cave" Roca pulls out his sword, "how many?" "hmmm by the looks of the heat signals... probably 20 ish?" Roca starts to walk, "let's clear it" Rika follows behind him, "oh yeah also, there's a goblin king inside the cave and a couple of hobgoblins".

the two finally arrives at the camp, "can you take care of the goblins on the outskirts? I'll take care of the ones inside the camp and cave" Roca gets ready to rush in, "I'll kill any goblins that tries to run away!" Rika seems to be happy to actually do some work, "okay then, here I go!" Roca then rushed inside the camp while Rika kills the goblins outside of the camp.

Roca easily kills the small goblins by slicing their heads off, Rika with no more work to do kills the goblins on the tower that is shooting Roca with their crossbows, Roca looks inside the cave and sees a hobgoblin walking out, "a hobgoblin huh, first time seeing them" Roca rushes towards the hobgoblin and throws his sword to it, the sword penetrates the hobgoblins' head.

Roca jumps from the ground and kicks the swords handle to penetrate it's head even deeper, he then goes behind the hobgoblin and touches the ground, a stone spike penetrates the hobgoblin from it's bottom and through it's head, "not that much trouble" he grabs his sword and runs inside the cave, the cave is pretty lit up, "...i guess they're almost like humans huh, but Rika said that there were 20 ish goblins, I killed about 8, are the rest inside this cave-".

Roca was stopped at a horrible sight, women, humans, and elves, adult and children, are being used as breeding partners by the goblins, the smell is horrid and the look of the girls are that of a dead person, "...god damn you" memories of his past start appearing on his mind, the videos and games that he used to watch and play has the exact same scene that he is seeing right now.

even though he used to like such actions, but after meeting Lyra, Amy, and Taiko, the only feeling he has while watching this scene is not arousal, but anger, "I'll kill all of you!" Roca runs inside and goes on a rampage, in his mind he was scared that the reason why he does not feel arousal as he used to is because of the skills he acquired and not that he has changed, he feels ashamed if that is the reason.

after killing all the goblins and hobgoblins, he walks towards the goblin king, it seems to be terrified so Roca that  it's trying to crawl away because it's legs have been cut off, "you shameful beings reminds me of what I was, and I can't forgive you nor myself for the things that you've done" Roca raises his sword and swing down, slicing it's head in half.

he looks at the girls and walks towards them, "...do you wish to die?" he asks the girls one by one, he gives the girl that answered with a yes or a nod a painless and fast death, and he gives the ones that said no some rags to cover themselves and bring them out.

Rika watches as Roca walks out with girls that have dead-looking eyes, Roca looks at her and shakes his head, Rika nods and starts walking back to the village, Roca looks at the girls and feels pity for them, but he's also ashamed of himself after remembering his past once again, "I am not what I was before, I swear that I will change in this world, into a better person" he thought to himself.
