The lost kitten

The next day,Lisa had to check out because her money really isn't enough for extending few hours to rest.

Atleast, she was able to rest for a night and was able to clean up herself.

That day, her first to do was to sell the watch she took from the drawer of that monster.

She made sure she went to a legit pawn shop.

The amount was really good because according to the shop's personnel, it was the latest and limited edition of that one luxury brand.

At first,she even eyed Lisa,Lisa looked really pretty but dressed so simple, so she kind of doubted her.

"No offense but how did you get such brand and sell it right away? " the shop's personnel asked her curiously.

"Ah, that's my ex boyfriend's watch, he broke up with me and left for good. I have no plans in keeping it since we broke up so, I decided to sell it" Lisa lied

"Oh,what if he wants to take it back? " the woman asked looking at Lisa full of judgments.

"Oh, I'm sure he will not, he has a lot of such, so that's just one of his accessories to forget" Lisa smiled bitterly and quite annoyed with the woman's unnecessary questions.

When Lisa left the shop,she made sure to hide her money.

She wandered around and while walking, she silently prayed for her to find a job.

After a few hours of walking, asking for hiring employees,of course she ended up disappointed.

All of those establishments asked for her identity papers and school credentials but she can't present anything.

She sat sadly on one of the street bench and wondered what to do next.

She remembered her money might lasts maybe two to three months even if she rent a room including her three meals a day. So she decided to look for somewhere to rent instead for a job.

She needed to buy a phone because she badly needed it as well.

She planned to contact her landlady in the apartment for her credentials.

Lisa though, that monster might find her, so the next day, she had her hair cut and changed her hair color from blonde to black, she also cut it very short ,a semi boycut.She had to wear eye contact lenses to change her eye color,she used a gray once which perfectly matched her.

She completely looked different from her old appearance.

After a few days, she still hasn't found a job. Feeling tired,she took a seat on a bench in a park, feeling hopeless,she kept tossing her feet on the ground.

She wondered why her life completely changed in an instant.She asked why she always suffered all her life.

Her tears fell nonstop,though she didn't want anyone to see her cry, she can't stop it.

She's broken and now back to nothing.

She realized she really can't live easily without her papers.

It's been a few days now and she was still jobless,her money won't last.

She badly needs her credentials and they were all left in her apartment.

She surely dropped it when those men took her away.

But she can't go back to that place, not with those painful memories and with that monster looking for her.

When she was about to go back to her place, a weak and very dirty kitten appeared from below the bench she was sitting on.

She felt sorry towards it,because the kitten seems so hungry so she picked it up and bought a burger then fed it,she later took it home.

She washed and fed it, she even brought it to an animal clinic near her place for proper check up.

After a few days when the landlord visited her unit, he saw the cat and he scolded her.

He told Lisa that pets are not allowed in that place.

"Throw that cat away or look for another place to rent,it was clearly written on the wall,didn't you read it?! " the landlord said pointing at the wall that has the reminders for all boarders.

"Okay landlord,I will take it back to the street tomorrow" Lisa said sadly.

"No,take it away now! " the landlord shouted then left.

Lisa felt so sad because she can't keep Leo.Yeah she named it Leo.

Leo was just starting to gain good health but she have to put him back to the street.

Lisa had to take Leo to the clinic to make sure Leo was healthy before she sets him free again to the street.

The vet noticed Lisa was so sad.

"You look sad,Leo is doing good now why you seems sad?" Mina asked.

Mina is a vet but she also has a small pet shop next to her clinic.

"Because I have to let go of Leo,pets are not allowed in my place so I can't keep him. Leo is just a stray cat and no special breed so I can't leave it to a pet shop for adoption.And besides, I haven't find a job yet for me to be able to find a better place that allows pets " Lisa said sadly.

"Oh,why you can't find a job yet you seem very nice and smart,you are also very attractive" Mina asked curiosly.

" Oh ,I don't have my papers with me,I left it in my town and I can't go back for some reason." Lisa admitted.

"What did you finish if you don't mind?" Mina asked

" I finished business management and got a job right away but because something happened I had to leave it all behind" Lisa said sadly,unaware of her tears falling ceaselessly.

Mina looked at her sadly, 'She seems to be very sincere but not yet ready to tell everything.She seems to have been in a serious problem that made her leave her place.'Mina thought.

" I can keep Leo in my pet shop,not for adoption,you can take care of him. You can work as shop cleaner for the mean time since you don't have credentials.,And I have a vacant room upstairs so you don't need to rent.You can leave that place" Mina don't know why she believed this girl but she kind of relate to her.

She can feel her pains are genuine although, she don't know her whole story yet.

She is just irresistible and looks like an angel.

"Wha...is that true? you ..you are giving me a job?" Lisa can't believe and can't stop but hold Mina's hands then even hugged her tightly.

"Yes,but if you will have your papers you can work higher than being a cleaner. I also manage my own pet shop and I'd like you to manage but since you don't have proofs of your achievements then sorry if I can give you that work for the mean time" Mina said a little formal.

"Yes! It's okay Ma'am Mina,I understand ,don't worry I will work hard and if I'll gather courage to go back to that place and get my papers, I will!" Lisa said happily.

That day,even if Lisa paid for advance rent,she still left her place and went stay at Mina's pet shop.
