Chapter 5

...Some years have passed me and my brother Lukas are now almost 9 so that’s like what… two years apart from our older brother and father damn how time moves even with what happened our grandma and grandpa invited us to their palace to have our birthday party’s (well really our grandma.. our grandpa began to hate us and our mother after hearing the news.) anyway do you mom wanting us to still have connections with our dad she accepted though a few things went wrong for one… well it’s better not to spoil instead let’s get into the story!...

...Maggie looked at the stairs “Alice and Lukas I called you twice are you ready!?” Mom yelled “I’m just helping with little brothers clothes!” Alice yelled back she looked at the shirt nodding they both headed downstairs Maggie looked at them in awe Alice’s short silver hair was neatly put to the side covering her right eyes her blueish red dress complimented her pale complexion along with her magenta eyes but something was different inside her eyes instead of being blue like Crows they were magenta like. Like if crow and her fathers eye colors mixed mom smiled “Alice you look beautiful!” Mom said Alice looked nervous “You really think that mom? the dress is kinda big.” Alice said mom nodded Lukas came down she had an even wider smile his clothes were like Alice’s a mix of red and blue shirt and pants his eyes weren’t covered like Alice’s instead his hair was styled back....

...Moms eyes open widely she grabbed two magenta colored roses “You two come down.” Mom said Alice and Lukas nodded they walked down the stairs until they were fully in the first floor mom quickly cut off the thorns then she placed the flower on both their ears Alice blushed “Mummy isn’t this a bit… grand?” Alice said mom smiled shaking her head “It’s my darlings birthday and they deserve the best!” Mom said Alice frowned her mom although wouldn’t admit it openly to her children her state was worsen after her and Lukas father left she cried in her sleep all the time waking up late at night and drank but now… it doesn’t look like that happened but Alice knew all too well what she was trying to do or what she’s hoping would happen....

...An hour later they left lucky the kingdom her father resides in wasn’t too far it was a two hour ride at best, but once they got their they were greeted by a line of their cousins, aunts and uncles even some on their mother’s side Alice had exited the carriage first but before she stepped on the floor she was stopped by one of her cousins his black hair was cut short and his clothes were a white color he extended a hand “May I help you cousin Alice?” He said Alice nodded she smiled “Alright cousin Quinn but don’t blame me if I step on your foot by accident.” Alice said....

...She stepped down and walked forward with Quinn’s arm wrapped around her own everyone’s looked at them shocked but they ignored that to look at Quinten’s entry he had slept in the carriage so mom carried him like a child they looked awed Quinn looked at Alice and she looked back “I never noticed your eyes were magenta?” Quinn said Alice smiled nervously “Yeah turns out the marriage ritual thing was about 99 percent done by when my mom and dad divorced… when they were no longer married the spell stopped making my eyes magenta in the process.” Alice said smiling Quinn nodded they stopped as Dad and them met Alice looked nervous she looked down as she remembered all the pain he made her and her brother go through including her mother after all I fucking hate magenta! Alice looked back up at him Dad smiled “I hope your doing fine Alice?” Dad said Alice rolled her eyes her mom appeared dad looked at her quickly then away back at Alice he smiled “You look-“ “Don’t act like you care.” Alice said dad looked shocked....

...Alice looked at her shoes they were magenta unlike her clothes she bit her lip “I don’t want to ever see you acting like my dad! You abandoned us!” Alice yelled everyone looked at her shocked but dad was even more shocked though Alice couldn’t hide the rush of tears Quinn noticed this and took her inside the house dad looked at Lukas who was in fact not even sleeping he was just acting that way to avoid him mom sighed “Let’s just make today’s birthday a day to remember so please just… avoid talking to her.” Mom said she walked past him dad looked shocked he turned around stopping mom “Maggie how could I just ignore my daughter? how is it you say it like it’s easy!?” Dad said mom looked at him she frowned “Let’s not act like you don’t have the skills you already abandoned her for a few years what ever you did to make that happen do it again. Plus like you yourself said she’s not your real daughter due to the spell she may be related to you by blood but technically she’s and he’s crows.” Mom said....

...Dad looked shocked and in the end had let go of moms shoulder he looked at his hand then at her as he watched her leave he walked into the house after everyone else did looking all around the grand entrance then he saw her. Alice had been talking to a few people some were her cousins the others were her friends or random nobles who came to understand how the second prince could be tricked....

...Alice’s current pov...

...She smiled at the random nobles jokes she looked down at the reflection or she tried to the beer had been foaming she gulped frowning at it “Hey what’s wrong?” The noble said Alice looked at the noble chuckling nervously “Nothings wrong I’m joking going to go get… a different kind of beer.” Alice said smiling nervously the noble smiled scratching his head nodding “I should have known this wouldn’t be your favorite beer after al your, your fathers daughter!” The man said smiling Alice nodded she turned around and began to walk towards the table that’s not it you noble person in my world we couldn’t drink until we were 21 in this world you drink at any age now that’s just strange. Alice sighed she stopped at the food table music began to play but the music that was playing sounded familiar like she heard it from some where she turned around and there he was her father on the floor on one knee his hand extending “Alice my sweet Alice will you have this dance with me?” Dad said Alice bit her lip she looked around sighing she looked back at her father nodding she place her hand on his and they both danced **** move Elric you knew I couldn’t refuse to dance in front of all those people. Alice looked at her father he looked back with a smile....

...“What’s got you cheery Elric?” Alice said dad frowned he shook it off and immediately put up a smile “how long has it been since we danced like this on your birthday?” Dad said Alice frowned “Just before you abandoned me and brother.” Alice said dad frowned he shook his head “Look I know your upset I am too… I truly has wanted to return home to you two-“ “What was stopping you?” Alice said her voice sounded a bit annoyed dad sighed “There’s a lot of things you not your brothers or even your mother don’t know about and those things that you don’t know about made me stay here.” Dad said Alice stopped dancing she looked at her father upset “Is that really your excuse!” Alice yelled “for abandoning us your excuse was someone or something kept you here!?” Alice said dad looked upset he didn’t reply Alice laughed hysterically....

...She stopped after she noticed the rest of the room noticed she looked at her father with tears down her eyes “Do you know how long it took me to deal with the fact you just abandoned us?” Alice said dad but his lip Alice laughed once more “It took a few months now you comeback into my life with this made up bullshit? If your going to lie at least make it believable you left us not because you were afraid but because you hated our guts.” Alice said dad shook his head “no that’s not true Alice!” Dad said Alice looked at dad Alice began to cry as her eyes began to turn brighter “T-Than why did you leave me dad because this doesn’t make any sense!” Alice yelled dad looked at the floor “Look I know I made a terrible mistake and I regret it everyday I wish I could take it all back but I can’t.” Dad said Alice looked at the ceiling it’s pattern the same as the floor a wooden diamon with blue crystals “I’ll forgive you but under one condition.” Alice said dad looked at her nodding he smiled “Anything.” Dad said Alice nodded “Let me see older brother.” Alice said dad nodded....

...Alice headed to a white door which had a different patterns than the others she opened it slowly in the corner a boy sat the boy had been holding a small toy guard that had its paint slowly fading the boy looked the same from the night he was forced to leave but his eyes unlike before were depressing....

...The boy didn’t look their way instead he just looked at the window “What do you want dad?” Quinten said dad frowned he quickly gulped moving out of the way “Someone came to see you.” Dad said “Look stop trying to get me and those people to be-“ quinten looked immediately at Alice but immediately cut himself off when he saw her his eyes looked shocked. They glossed like he was going to cry “Alice!” He said running over and hugging her tightly “I-I missed you.” He said while still hugging her. Alice hugged back nervously “I missed you too older brother.” Alice said the halls within the palace light sound a song began to play Alice and Quinten stopped hugging Quinten looked shocked “So that’s why your dressed so elegantly! It’s your birthday!” Quinten said Alice smiled she nodded he extended his hand smiling “Let’s not keep your guests waiting then.” Quinten said....

...Both of them headed down the holding each other’s hand they looked over at the guest by the staircase they all were lined up with Lukas and mom being at the end of the entry standing in the dead center. Lukas looked at her shocked to see Quinten he began to run to them the guests lined up looked shocked as he ran up the stairs hugging Quinten and Alice “Big sister and big brother!” He said smiling....

...Alice and her siblings headed down the stairs....

...An hour later...

...Alice laughed as she began to talk with Quinten and Lukas. Once the party ended heir grandmother and grandfather called them all for a meeting. Alice looked at their grandparents “You called grandma and grandpa?” Alice said Lukas nodded grandma smiled “Happy birthday you two.” Grandma said alice and Lukas smiled nodded “Thank you for inviting us.” Alice said Lukas nodded grandma nodded “I have came to decide seeing how this kingdom is mine and you are my grandchildren although if your mom and father hadn’t marry you’d be someone else’s children. Anyway your grandfather and I are allowing your father and mother to remarry restoring your right to the throne of this kingdom.” Grandma said Alice and Lukas looked shocked they both smiled “Mom and Dad will be married again!” Alice yelled she jumped up and down happy later Lukas followed....

...Alice smiled she looked at Lukas and Quinten again Lukas had been flapping his hands happily while Quinten smiled happily. While Alice just stood there smiling....
