Chapter 4: She's crying!

"Hello, everyone. I'm Qiao Ning Xi, 10 years old. Nice to meet you." Qiao Ning Xi acted shy and timid. Qiao Ning Xi in the past few days decided to act as a weak and timid girl just like her 10 years old self. She doesn't want anybody to suspect or be suspicious of her especially Qiao Hua. Qiao Ning Xi knows that she is still weak and she's not sure if she will be able to avoid Qiao Hua's scheme.

A girl in the middle row raise her hand and Peng Hua nodded. "Qiao Ning Xi? are you the girl that had a car accident?" The girl asked. She looked at Qiao Ning Xi unfriendly.

Qiao Ning Xi nodded her head. Some students started to look at her unfriendly and some complain saying they don't like her. Peng Hua was surprised by their reactions and wanting to stop them from talking but Qiao Ning xi asked. "How did you know?" she looked at the girl curiously.

The girl and other students scoff her off and ignore her.

Seeing this, Peng Hua was embarrassed and didn't know what to do or say. She made everybody stop talking and let Qiao Ning Xi sit beside Leng Shaoming in the last row.

Everybody looked at Qiao Ning Xi unfriendly and Qiao Ning Xi just ignored them and acted like she's nervous. She lowered her head and her hair covered her eyes that shows contempt and her smile. She knows that they are just kids but she couldn't stop herself from hating them.

Qiao Ning Xi was naive for letting her guard down.

While Qiao Ning Xi was smiling, Cai Zhenghao, who was standing behind the class with Leng Shaoming, was able to see her and he also saw her eyes full of hatred. Cai Zhenghao was surprised and puzzled at the same time.

He was curious why does she has a strong hatred and also suspicious of her because she act timid and docile at first but now he thinks it's all an act. He wanted to ask her why but didn't dare to.

Leng Shaoming was glaring at Cai Zhenghao when he noticed Cai Zhenghao staring at the new girl. He smirked and asked "Do you like that girl?"

Leng Shaoming misunderstood Cai Zhenghao looking at Qiao Ning Xi full with interest thinking Cai Zhenghao likes her. Cai Zhenghao heard Leng Shaoming but still ignored him and keep on staring at Qiao Ning Xi.

Seeing that Cai Zhenghao is still ignoring him, he keeps on teasing Cai Zhenghao.

Through out the discussion the students show dissatisfaction on Qiao Ning Xi while Cai Zhenghao was stealing glance at her and observing her.

"Okay! That's all, remember to answer your assignments and pass it tomorrow. You may go have your break." Peng Hua said and one by one the students went outside the classroom wanting to spend their break with their friends.

Once Peng Hua saw that there were only few students left, she walked toward Leng Shaoming and Cai Zhenghao. The two looked at Peng Hua waiting for their punishment when a girl's voice called them.

"Leng Shaoming! Cai Zhenghao! Would you help me with the math assignment?" Qiao Ning Xi shouted after seeing Peng Hua going to the two. Peng Hua looked at Qiao Ning Xi thinking whether is she stopping her on purpose just like earlier.

"Qiao Ning Xi, You can ask someone else I need to talk to them about their behaviors and the principal will give them their punishment. They need to learn their lesson." Peng Hua said looking determined. Hearing that Qiao Ning Xi eyes suddenly turned red and starting to tear up. Peng Hua was startled and not only her even Leng Shaoming and Cai Zhenghao.

"Why? Why are you crying?"

"Teacher Peng, are they in trouble because of me?" Qiao Ning Xi said while her head was down. Seeing her like that Peng Hua panicked a little but when she started crying and saw tear drops on the floor, Peng Hua was aggrieved.

"No! No! No! It was not your fault. Why would you think that?" Peng Hua immediately denied.

"But.. But.. If I.. you didn't went to ..... to open the door for me... then they wouldn't be.. able to fight." Qiao Ning Xi was hyperventilating because of crying.

Peng Hua was distressed after seeing her crying. She didn't know that Qiao Ning Xi was this weak. She tried to calmed Qiao Ning Xi down and explained to her that whether the fighting happened today or not, that doesn't mean they will not fight tomorrow. She also explained that Leng Shaoming and Cai Zhenghao were always fighting and everyone in class know that. But she didn't think that Qiao Ning Xi wouldn't believe her one bit.

She sighed seeing that this timid girl could be so stubborn. She was left with no choice but to exempt both of them from punishment but she stated that the both of them must help Qiao Ning Xi in her studies and help her in adjusting to the school and both of them agree.

After hearing that Leng Shaoming and Cai Zhenghao will be exempted from punishment, Qiao Ning Xi stopped acting but she was still hyperventilating because of her unrhythmic breathing due to too much crying.

Peng Hua couldn't stop herself from shaking her head. I don't know if she's too kind or dumb.

Peng Hua gave the papers and lesson materials to Cai Zhenghao and Leng Shaoming and told them to take care of Qiao Ning Xi. She then left in rush seeing that the break was almost over.

Only the three of them were left in the classroom. Both Cai Zhenghao and Leng Shaoming felt awkward and didn't know what to do. They wanted to comfort her but they don't know how to comfort a girl so they just sit beside her silently waiting for her to completely calm down.

Cai Zhenghao was confused and wanted to ask her why would she do that. He felt that Qiao Ning Xi has a bad intention to them but when he remembered her crying pitifully all of his doubts suddenly disappear.

Leng Shaoming looked at the girl weirdly. He was used to girls acting pitiful or trying to get close to him and he always hated it but this time even though he felt that something was wrong or isn't right, he wanted to get close to her.

Both boys were perplexed and trying to understand what's wrong with them. After thinking a long time and weren't able to get an answer, they subconsciously sighed.
