Hope

Alex was walking by the Juhu beach. He saw many young and old men and women were jogging in the early morning. The air was cool. Seems like it will rain. Alex opened his shoes and sat on them in the middle of the beach. He couldn't complete his maths homework yesterday. He thought of doing it then cuz he also wanted an distraction.

As soon as he took out the thick book, a small folded paper fall on his lap. He kept his book aside and picked up the paper. He saw that it was the notice for parents teachers meeting at his school after the class hours. Alex let out a deep sigh. He didn't want to take is parents to school. What if they starts fighting there? It will be so embarrassing to Alex. Everyday parents teachers meeting, his class teacher would warn him or called his mother. But this time it's before the finals. He didn't know how will his teacher react. And he didn't want to think also. For once he want to live without any worry. He checked the time. It's still half an hour one for school to start. Alex thought of taking a lazy walk to school, without taking any public transport.

Alex POV:-

The city has started to grew more lively with each passing seconds. I saw many vendors started coming to the beach. I don't know why but I'm not feeling quite good. Maybe because I had a stupid fight with my mom in the morning. But this is a daily thing for me now.. I don't remember when last time I saw my mom laughed heartily. Everything was so perfect when I was in kindergarten. Dad was so caring and loving then. The days were happy and nights were peaceful. But when I graduated primary school, things started to change. A change that I hated. A change that I didn't even imagined in my dream. I wonder if we can live like that again or not...

Author's POV:-

Alex thoughts wer cut when he heard children's commotion. He was standing in front of the school. He stood there thinking of something and then entered.

All the classes were preety smooth. I mentioned that Alex was Preety good in studies and other activities also. So he was kinda favourite for the teachers. Most of the time, in the class, Alex would stare outside the window into the green playground of his school. The sun's rays would reflect from his big glassy doe eyes, making them more adorable. He was a guy with cute baby face but mature body and voice.

After the classes Alex was called to his class teacher's office. He went there without hesitating.

"May I come in ma'am?" Alex said with a deep and low voice.

"Ohh Alex. Yes come in baby." His teacher welcomed him with a warming smile. She signed Alex to sit down and so did Alex.

"So Alex.. Why are your parents again absent? Did you nit inform them child?"

Alex said nothing but kept his head down.

"Listen child. As a parent of a child, the responsibilities are huge. It's not just to pay the fees. Your parents should also look after you, guide properly. I know that you are a very bright student and is very smart, but at the same time you are a kid, who still needs guidance properly. And me as your class teacher is also responsible for looking into your matters that you are guided properly or not. You will be going to university after 2 years. So baby, inform Mr and Mrs McAdams that I'll visit them at your house tomorrow."

Alex eyes widened listening to his teachers decision. "No ma'am. You can't..." His teacher, Mrs LeBlanc cut through him and said, "No excuse Alex. These are oders from our principal. So I need to obey, as well as you".

The sky was cloudy. So cloudy that it can broke any time sooner or later. Wind is also blowing. What will he do now? It's already Friday. He was walking towards the hill where he spent every afternoon.

But suddenly a thought crossed his mind. That what if he goes home early today and sit and talk to his parents. His dad also comes home early on Fridays. But he doesn't know how to face his dad, since both of them haven't talked properly for years now. Whenever they talked, it leads to hand prints on Alex's cheeks. But then there is no turning point now. Mrs LeBlanc will come to visit them tomorrow and he have to talk to his parents.

Alex made his mind. He turn back, took bus and head straight to his home. The sky was dark, the air was damn and cold. Alex hoped that everything will be okay just for one day.
