~Marilyn's POV~

I'm really happy today and the reason is none other than Alessandro. He has a way to bring out all the emotions that I didn't know I have.

I woke up from my slumber caged in his arms, his heart beating against my ear, and his scent waffling through my nose. It was the safest feeling I ever had.

I untangle myself from him slowly, making sure he doesn't wake up. After getting up I stared at the man who has made me feel things that no one has ever made me feel. He looks so innocent and peaceful in his sleep that I don't have the heart to wake him up.

I kissed his forehead. Afterwards, I went to get ready for the day.

I did my morning routine and made my way to the kitchen. I was cooking when I felt his hand slid around my waist, pulling me against his hard chest.

I literally melted in his arms like butter. He put his chin on my head. "I can get used to this", he said, his voice is heavy and more husky than usual.

This weekend was the best weekend of my whole life. I'm a little upset that we have to go to the hospital.

I'm not sure what will happen between us now. Sure we have been on a date and he has literally lïck the fūck out of my pūssy, but I don't know how he is going to behave in the hospital.

Is he going to ignore me? I don't like the fact that I'm sounding so pathetic but I can't seem to control myself when it comes to him.

I sigh. I can't do anything but wait. I sigh again. God, I'm really pathetic. I can't just hang around waiting to get his attention. So, it left me with only one option...

I quickly open my wardrobe. "Hmm... What I'm going to wear...." I asked myself. There's a dress at the corner which gets my attention. I smile to myself, 'perfect'.

I did my makeup and hair. My alarm went off, indicating if I don't leave now I'm going to get late. I locked my apartment and started walking towards the hospital.

The walk from my apartment to the hospital was short. I put my laboratory coat and went to check on my patients.

There weren't many patients under my care today so I finished my work rather early. After finishing my round I went to search for Alessandro.

I checked his office but he wasn't there so I checked the wards but he wasn't there too. Operation theatre is out of the question because he doesn't have any surgery today and there are no emergency patients. I walked towards the reception area to get information about him.

"Hey, Char do you know where Dr. Russo is?" I asked the receptionist.

"He didn't come today. He said he has an emergency." Char replied. What? I checked my phone but there isn't any message or call from him. I thanked her and left.

I went to my office and called him. He didn't pick up. 'Is he sick', I thought to myself. No, he's not sick otherwise he would have applied for sick leave.

My thoughts are running wild. I thought of every possible reason for his absence. Is he with another woman? Is he in the mafia or some gang in secret? Or did someone murdered him and texted the hospital from his phone?

I quickly shake all the wild thoughts but my subconscious reminded me that one of the reasons is valid. So I quickly rewind all the thoughts and paused on one. He is with another woman?! I narrowed my eyes then shook my head.

That is not the case. He won't do that to me. I thought to myself.

"You're not in a relationship yet", My subconscious reminded me again.

"Bïtch", I thought to myself.

"Did you forget we're the same person?" My subconscious sassed. Ugh, I cursed under my breath.

The moment I reached home I started taking my clothes off. I went to the bathroom and set the temperature. After checking water is warm, I stepped inside and washed my body.

I towel dried my hair then went to my underwēar drawer and wore a black båby døll.

I locked my door and went to Alessandro's. I'm going to surprise him and find the reason he was absent. I pulled out his house key and unlock the door.

I entered the house and stopped dead in my tracks after listening to the sounds that were coming from the kitchen. A woman's voice.

She is laughing and I heard Alessandro chuckle. My eyes turned into slits. This is his emergency? I'm shaking from jealousy.

I'm not going to back out. I'll stake my claim on my man. I started walking towards the kitchen "Hey, baby you didn't came to the hospital so I thought I will...."

I stopped mid steps. There are three more people in the kitchen except for Alessandro. Two women and two men.

Both man are looking similar to Alessandro so I guess the older one is his father and the younger one is his brother.

The older woman, who doesn't look a day above 35 years, has the same eyes as Alessandro, so I guess she is either his sister or his mother. The younger woman doesn't resemble him so I guess she's not related to him.

I turned red from embarrassment when I came back to my senses. Stacking my claim? I made a fool out of myself instead!!

"I-I d-didn't know you have guests." I stuttered due to embarrassment.

"I'll see you at the hospital." I quickly added and turn around ready to make an escape but Alessandro stopped me by catching my wrist.

"Come join us." He said softly.

His eyes are full of amusement. I glared at him. He is definitely enjoying this.

"I've not dressed appropriately and I don't want to intrude." I said through gritted teeth.

"You can wear my shirt." He replied. I glared again but said okay and went to his room to get a shirt and sweatpants.

I have to roll the sweatpants to make it my size but it's still big on me. I paced around to delay facing them again. I took a deep breath before going out to face his parents.
