The surprise part one*

Several months have passed, and Oliver has regained his cheerful demeanor following his achievement of receiving his first 'A'. At the conclusion of the day, he invited me to go on a date with him, to which I agreed.

As I prepared at home, Amanda, Amber, and Olivia entered my room, and I anticipated a barrage of questions. They began to speak and inquire simultaneously, their expressions beaming with excitement.

"Where are you off to in such a lovely dress, Alexandra Spierss?" Olivia playfully inquired.

"I'm not going anywhere," I fibbed, setting down my hair curler.

"I suspect it’s someone special who has asked a particular question," Amanda remarked with a knowing smile, while her twin sister nodded in agreement.

"Why would you suggest such a thing? I am going nowhere, and you are simply intruding on my privacy."

At that moment, my phone chimed as it charged on my nightstand, displaying Oliver's name along with a visible text. We exchanged glances and rushed toward my phone.

Olivia seized it and began to read the message aloud:

'Shorty, are you ready for our date? I'm just a few minutes away from your house. Can't wait to see you...'

I sank onto my bed, my face buried in my hands. Olivia instructed Amanda and Amber to leave the room and guided me to my desk. I took a seat as she completed curling my hair.

"Alexa, I understand that you dislike me prying into your affairs. However, I genuinely believe he is a wonderful person. Although your initial interactions may not have been ideal, and you may have had reservations about him," I scoffed, meeting her gaze in the mirror.

"That is an understatement," Olivia replied, rolling her eyes before continuing.

"But you never know how things might turn out. Personally, I believe he is meant for you. You cannot deny the way you both look at each other when the other is unaware. Ultimately, the decision is yours, but I want you to know that you have my unwavering support, and I hope you consider giving him a chance."

Amanda and Amber entered the room, expressing their support. "Yes, big sister. We are on your side. He is genuinely interested in you. Moreover, he understands you and treats us exceptionally well." I returned their smiles.

They had a valid point. I had developed feelings for him, yet I was uncertain about embarking on a relationship. Despite my desire to know him more deeply, hesitation lingered.

At that moment, I heard a honk outside. Taking a deep breath, I descended the stairs. Olivia opened the door, revealing Oliver in a tuxedo adorned with a blue bow tie. I noticed Olivia, my sisters, and Oliver exchanging knowing winks.

I smiled and shook my head, realizing they were collaborating towards a common goal. Oliver approached me, took my hands, and guided me to the limousine. The driver opened the car door, and I stepped inside. Oliver then conversed with Olivia and my sisters outside.

The driver greeted me and inquired, "You have feelings for him, don't you?"

I offered a nervous smile, uncertain of my feelings at that moment. "May I ask who is posing such a question?"

The driver chuckled softly. "I am his uncle, the brother of his mother."

He paused for a moment before continuing.

"I gather that my nephew has shared some details about my sister. Oliver faces many challenges in this world, and his life is far from ordinary. You are the first person he has shown any genuine interest in."
