Chapter 17 :-- Do You Even Have The Ability To Be Our Guard ?

Rycon wondered whether Xiao Hongyi managed to predict his 'Saiyan Appetite', but after seeing the hungry and impatient look on Xiao Yuanba's face, it was pretty obvious that more than 60% of the food on the large table was meant for Xiao Yuanba.

Xiao Yuanba was sneakily taking glances at Rycon, then started in indulge himself in eating.

" Please sit and enjoy the food. We can talk later." Xiao Hongyi said.

Rycon nodded and took a seat which just happened to be in the middle of Xiao Qingyue and Xiao Yuanba, directly opposite to the position of Xiao Hongyi.

" Itadakimasu or Thanks for the Food "

Rycon casually retrieved a clean plate and used a knife to carve a large chunk of meat of the roasted pork for himself.

Xiao Qingyue also started to eat slowly and gracefully and it was a very beautiful scene to watch. Unfortunately, only her father, Xiao Hongyi was paying attention to this as her brother and the stranger Rycon were completely focused on the food before them.

Xiao Hongyi was watching them eat with a gentle smile as he looked at Rycon with curiosity. But that smile was wiped off from his face replaced with an expression of disbelief.

Rycon was gorging himself with the dishes without any restraints at a rate that even the glutton Xiao Yuanba wasn't fight over food with him. The dishes were being emptied one by one in matter of seconds.

" Dongling, please ask the servants to bring out more dishes." Xiao Hongyi asked the pretty looking maid with a mature air around her, who was standing behind Xiao Qingyue.

" Yes, Master." Xiao Dongling the maid of Xiao Qingyue nodded after getting over the initial surprise.

Xiao Qingyue was looking at Rycon in amazement. This is the first time she has seen someone whose appetite could rival her gluttonous brother. But this strange youth's appetite seems to be even higher than her brother.

She looked at her brother, Xiao Yuanba who was looking at Rycon with slightly tearful eyes. Rycon was literally taking every dishes for himself.

After the dinner was over, Xiao Yuanba looked dissatisfied and Rycon looked casual. Xiao Qingyue covered her beautiful face with a veil again, which quite confused Rycon. He couldn't understand why she was wearing a veil in presence of her family.

" Yue'er, Yuanba, This is...." Xiao Hongyi was about to introduce Rycon to his children when Rycon interjected.

" I am Rycon " Rycon said with a slight smile.

" Yes. And he'll be both of your personal guard for 30 days till Yue'er's wedding." Xiao Hongyi said with his usual calm and gentle smile.

Xiao Qingyue frowned for a moment when she 'wedding' but soon recovered her composure. Xiao Yuanba didn't have any problem as he flashed Rycon a friendly smile, which Rycon ignored.

Xiao Qingyue looked at Rycon with ice cold expression and asked in a chilly tone, " Do you even have the ability to be our guard?"

Xiao Hongyi wanted to reprimand his daughter but Rycon indicated for him to not interfere.

Rycon mysteriously smiled as he looked at Xiao Qingyue's eyes and said, " You'll know of it eventually."

Xiao Qingyue got slightly flustered behind her veil after seeing Rycon smile.

' She's a brat, after all.' Rycon thought after seeing Xiao Qingyue getting flustered by his smile. He knew that it'll take more than his signature smile to get her flustered like this in the future when she has further cultivated the Frozen Heart Arts.

Rycon turned to Xiao Hongyi and asked, " I'll stay in the same room I slept. Is that alright?"

" Ah? No. That room is for guests. Since you'll be staying here for 30 days, I'll prepare a separate room for you." Xiao Hongyi said.

" Thanks, old man." Rycon said.

Xiao Hongyi turned to the maid Xiao Dongling and said, " Please take Mr. Rycon to one of the vacant rooms."

" Understood, Master." Xiao Dongling slightly bowed to Xiao Hongyi, then turned to Ikuya and said, " Master Rycon, please follow me."

Rycon followed her amidst the cold glare of Xiao Qingyue and the smiling face of Xiao Yuanba.

After a minute of walking...

" We're here, Master Rycon" Xiao Dongling said as she opened the door to a room.

The room was quite simple. It had a bed that was quite big for just one person to sleep. There were two windows in the room. Overall, it was a very simple room except for the very big bed.

" Hope you get a good rest , Master Rycon" The maid, Xiao Dongling slightly bowed and said.

" Yeah, thanks for leading me here." Rycon said as he entered the room as the maid left the vicinity.

Rycon shut the door and sat on the bed cross-legged, his expression serious.

" So I have to wait 30 days before I can get my hands on Evil God's Indestructible Blood huh? That is too long." Rycon muttered as he remembering the original novel the Evil God's Indestructible Blood .
