CHAPTER 16: THE SWEET MEMORIES

ZANE POV

I slowly unbolted my eyes only to be hit by a bundle of intense light that amp9stblind my ears. It took me a while to adapt to the bright light. When my vision turned normal and clear, i saw Cas seated on a chair by my side. He gave me a sigh of relief.

Then i brushed past my memory about the previous incidents. They were still fresh in my mind. But i couldn't remember his damn face.

I could feel the blood rushing through my veins due to the rage burning inside me. I want to rip him apart. Seeing me tensed and raged, Cad gave me a confused look.

I said in a calm and dangerous tone, " HE IS BACK" " And he took my sister with him Cas". My eyes were bloodshot. I yelled, "He is the reason my Sam is like this, Cas". Seiing me lose control, Cas tried to calm me down. He said, " Calm down buddy, we will get her back... She's like a little sister for me too.. don't forget that... And we will definitely take revenge for Sam", with a ressuring look. But i could not keep my calm.

I removed all the machines from my body. I tried to move my body, when an intense pain shooted up from my abdomen and right upper arm restricting my rapid violent movements. Cas got panicked due to my absurd movements and came hurriedly towards me and layed me back on the bed. He angrily yelled at me, "WTH ZANE! Can't you see the state you're in?... Even though you are strong your body needs time to heal Or DO YOU ANT TO DIE...". He glared at me and poked his index finger on my forehead and continued, " Only because you are injured i'm sparing you or else I WILL BEAT THE SH*T OUTTA YOU".

He turned around walking out of my room. I couldn't help but ask him, "Where are you goi...?". He interrupted before i could complete my sentence and just looked at me expressionless and said, "To find our sister" and left before i could ask him anymore questions. I wanted to ask him about Sam's condition but this freak just could not wait till i finish. Sh*thead! I moved my right hand in frustration which again costed me an immense pain. F*CK! I cursed myself.

While thinking about my little sister and Sam i couldn't help but smile and be sad at the same time because they were always so funny.....

I remembered how they both used to fight like a kindergarten kids. Even though Ri was understanding and all, she was very fun loving. She always loved to mess with us, especially Sam. She used to pull a lot of prank on her.

FEW YEARS BACK,

It was April fools day...

Everyone of us were busy and immersed in our own work. We did not remember it was APRIL FOOL'S DAY...

She invited all of us for dinner and we all went there excitedly. I, Sam and Dai reached there. But to our surprise, she still did not arrive. After more than half an hour of waiting and spending our patience, our patience ran out. A waiter came towards us and gave each of us a small box. I was confused. When i opened my box, it was written "HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY" from MISS REED ALVESTER😝😜 '. I looked at the other two, they had the same reaction as mine. This girl she will never learn. As Dai had something to take care of, she did not accompany us. I and Sam, we both headed home.

When we reached home it was dark. The lights were off. There was no sign of my little devil sister anywhere. Today if i catch her i will make sure to teach her a nice unforgettable lesson. I headed to my room and freshened up. Suddenly, i heard yelling from downstairs. Sam was yelling. I could not understand what the hell was happening.

AUTHOR POV

The room was so dark that nothing could be seen properly and something was approaching Sam.... And one more thing she has both phasmophobia and nyctophobia....

SAM: "AAAH..ZANE SAVE ME FROM THIS GHOST" yells

GHOST: "I LOVE YOU SAM... COME WITH ME"  in a scary tone.

SAM: "D..DO..DON'T COME NEAR ME.... AAAH ZANE....HELP ME" yells

GHOST: "COME WITH ME WE WILL LIVE HAPPILY TOGETHER" in a scary tone

SAM: "MUMMMYYYY....sob' AAAH....DADDY..sob'...AAH..."

GHOST: Holds her hand and starts dragging... " MY LOVE LET'S DIE AGAIN TOGETHER....HAHAHAHA" laughs like a maniac

SAM: "NOO.....PLS hic' LET ME hic' GO"

GHOST: " BEFORE THAT LET ME KISS YOU.... MUAAAH.... " goes near her to kiss

SAM: " ZAAAANNNNNEEEE.......AAAAAHH" screams at the top of her lungs...

ZANE POV

Sam's scream were echoing in the whole mansion. I went to Sam's room and switched on the lights. Someone was holding Sam's hand with his face covered under a scary mask. A bunch of long black hair was let out loose wrapping a long white dress in his/her body. I understood who it was and what she was doing. Riya yelled, " APRIL FOOL" on Sam's face. I know for sure she's going to die. I will prepare for her funeral.

I saw tear stains on Sam's cheeks. Her eyes were red and her face was flushed. She looked embarassed. Man she looked very seductive. I liked her from i don't know how long. My thoughts got interrupted when i heard someone screaming...

SAM: pulls her hair' and pushes her on the floor'

RIYA: " SSSAAAAMMMM...it hurts let go... i will not do anything like this again..... I swear" was so loud because of the pain.

SAM: pulled her hair more' sits on her back and starts spanking her butt hard' "WILL YOU TRY TO SCARE ME EVER AGAIN" with pure rage...

RIYA: "SOWWYY MUMMA.... AAH... I WON'T DO AGAIN.... STOP PLEASE..." yells pleadingly...

SAM: smack' smack' smack' " HOW DARE YOU TO SCARE ME TO DEATH", " TODAY WILL BE YOUR LAST DAY" smirks evilly...

Sam starts beating the sh*t outta her.

RIYA: puppy eyes attack..."SAMMY THAT HURTS A LOT.... I'M SOWWY, I WON'T DO.IT AGAIN..." whispers like a scared little kitten

SAM: dumbstruck' How can she be soo cute...' But i'm not planning to forgive her soon'... so, i glared at her'

RIYA: Gets up and walks hurriedly runs away from her'... turns towards her and says, " THAT DIDN'T HURT AT ALL" strucks her tongue out and giggles....

SAM:  helpless' "YOU"

This kids were getting out of control, so i couldn't help but interfere. Then i punished Ri for her dumb pranks. Ri had to clean the toilets and bathroom, wash dishes and had to listen Sam's order for one whole month.

AT PRESENT,

As i drowned myself with our sweet memories, my pain faded away. I realised how much Ri meant to all of us. The beam of light in our dark lives is her. After thinking for some more time, my eyelids got heavy and i drifted into a deep slumber.
