Chapter 3

Charis's pov

The war is finally over with the zorlocks, they were stronger than I expected but not as strong as the demon king of the underworld.

I lost so many good and faithful warriors during the war for their labour will not go in vein for I shall provide shelter for their families and protect them for that shall be their reward.

I was still weak and powerless used all my strength in the war , so I decided to go and rest to regain my full strength.

After the rest I felt like myself again I was just very hungry so I checked the time.

wow! have already spent 2 days in the underworld already so it means in the human world 2 years has passed.

"time to get mate" my demon said

"yes it time, but first we must feed " I replied

so I headed down to the human world were they sell blood bags , I bought 4 drank it within a minute cleaned my mouth and headed back to the streets it looked a bit different from the way I say it two days ago the light aren't as much as before nor the trees.

I kept walking wondering were the people are because the place looks vacant , started hearing a sound coming from afar followed it and found out it was a party , so I guessed as much this were the people are but what are they celebrating I got closer hearing a count down of number it was going five, four, three, two, one...

"Happy new year everybody" the Dj of the party said

"yyyyyeeeaaah happy near year" everyone at the party shouted they were all drunk well most of them rubbing them self together I got sick I decide to leave when I heard the most beautiful voice but it was weak and scared

"leave me alone" the unknown voice

I followed the voice to were it was and saw the face have been waiting to see, it was mate but she was all drunk and fragile. Then I noticed a guy putting his disgusting hands on my mate I want to kill him for touching what belongs to me.

"leave her alone" I said in a death and commanding tone

"dude back off I saw her first she's mine" the drunk man said

"How dare u say she's yours I will give u say 2 second to leave before I tear u apart " I say it looking straight to his eyes letting him see my fangs

"am sorry man she's all us " with that he left

"yes she's mine" I said it looking at her fragile body lying on the floor she must have passed out how much did she drink.
