New Friend

Everything is a mess in the house since I mentioned I am invited to the party plus have a handsome guy as my plus one. Mom is being herself again, convincing me to go shopping with her and dad is being a typical dad interrogating about the party, and Luv and my dearest brother are praying for the mental health of all the peeps who will be there with me at the party, He and his daily drama.

"Mom I told you already I have tons of dresses, I don't need any new, if you have that much money give me some I will buy new novels and manga for me " I shouted being irritated how she is going all over my wardrobe, and blaming me being dull and old fashioned.

"That's it I can't do this anymore we have to have go-to shopping or else you ain't going anywhere" my mom practically ordered and who am I to say something to the queen of the house

Finally after going to basically all the shops in the town my mom decided to let me live and choose a simple white knee-length dress that has pretty embroidery in its sleeves and neck. Not gonna lie this dress is so pretty that I don't even want to wear it, it's like some of the clothes which we have in our closet but never wear in the fear of getting stain or being old.

"That's it, This dress is making my princess more and more pretty, "  Mom said in an excited tone, I think that the power of the mother, she can never see how their child really are, for them we all are falling angels. Sign

"That's final me and dad we both gonna take you to the cafe and talk to that guy friend of yours and if we feel anything off, we will be the one dropping and picking you up from the party. I don't want any more argument" Who did I even lived so long with this family first mom dragged me to for shopping put tones of makeup products and now these male species of my family fighting over who gonna my knight without even asking what I want

"We can invite the whole family of ours to escort me to the cafe and judge the poor boy. Isn't it's a better idea" I said sarcastically but Mom interpreted informing me about me getting late. And I and my both knights run to the landmark.

"Hy, Sorry for being late, " I said as I saw Luv waiting for me in from of his car

"oh.. hey, you are looking beautiful. And no worries I just arrived, Shall we "I was about to say something but one of my knight fake cough

"Oh, meet my dad and my brother, they are here to get something from the cafe, so we thought what no meet you too, " I said feeling a little embarrassed

"Hello Mr.Brown and Mr. Brown, I am Luv Stewart And don't worry I will protect our little princess, You guys can trust me, I also have a sister I can understand your worries, " He said like he can read my mind with his diamond-like smile

"Ok then young man if anything happens to my baby, I will attack your collar, "Dad said and he nodded and salute them. Dramatic family and now a dramatic friend. Tough life.

After there all the drama we finally get in the car and head to the said location. We talked little and I got to know about his family and other things like right now he is living with his cousin and sister and his parents run a law firm in the states and how he dreamed about being a successful lawyer to make them proud, but the thing that bugs me most is how he ignored when I asked about his friends and school life.

"Here we are your highness," he said and opened the door for me with all the dramatic voice he can master

We get in the house, the house looked pretty decent with great decoration but the house is somewhat empty and Lucy was sitting on a sofa with her hands covering her face, I guess we are the first one arriving there but I decided to talk to her.

"Hy Lucy," I said touching her shoulder and she looked at me with tears in her eyes, as fast as she saw me, she started crying hugging am as tight as she can, I guess this girl doesn't know how to be gentle

"hey don't cry, tell me what happened, "I asked rubbing her back and she told me how she invited all the college but no one is showing, she even calls the one whom she thought are her friends now but they also ditch her and are going to make fun of her tomorrow in college which she accidentally overheard while being on call.

I felt pity over her like she is trying so hard to fit in but others are not even giving her a single chance, I can feel her, I have already been through this phase. I asked Luv to give us some water and we calm her down a bit

After settling down, Luv suggested that he can call his cousin and some of his friends and we can have a blast on our own after all a party need not be a crowded one, we can have fun with a few but real people and this lift the mood of lucy too.

While Luv was busy with all the phone calls and other stuff, I get to know how childish and fun Lucy is and how she use to be not so popular in school so decided to become a popular girl for her dreams in college. But now she doesn't want to have anything with anyone but just wants to live happily without any fake friends around her. She even asked me to be her friend and in her words best friends for life.

I looked at Luv and I think I made two fun friends to cherish now.
