Chapter 4

In the hallway.

"Casy, why would you say that?, look it made her angry, this is all your fault "said someone inside the choir room. Kris and I rushed to see what happened, we saw sheets and pens scattered down on the floor, it looked like a mini tornado just visited that room. What a reck we thought to ourselves. And as we entered inside there were two girls arguing, and the air was intense.

Inside the classroom.

Stephen asked "what is going on?" a girl came forward and said "nothing, it's just a small argument, may I know who you both are? ". Stephen came forward and said "we are from the news club, we just came here because we heard some chaos". "Oh I am Lidya and I work on the lyrics and tune for the music club" the girl replied.

We offered to help them to pick up the sheets lying down on the floor. While we were picking them up Lidya went out to bring back the lead singer who walked out. Some of the other girls were talking about what happened before. Then while I was picking up the pens dropped, Stephen called out for me and whispered "look at this". So I took a look, it was a sheet with Clara's name on top with some music notes printed on it. It was half crumbled.

I kept that sheet with me in my pocket. And I asked to Stephen if we can leave now, And we stood up from the ground. And we stepped out of the door, then we saw Lidya and the girl coming our way to the music room so I turned back to the door to get in and rushed Stephen to go back in too.

And as I rushed, I forgot to to looked down at the scattered pens. I tripped in one of the pens, but Stephen caught me before I fell back. And before we realised, everyone’s eyes was starring at us. I then came to my balance and stood up straight, that was a bit awkward. Then we heard a voice behind us saying "everyone…, Emma is back". So 'Emma' is the lead singer, as she entered the room was filled with awkward silence. Some girls glared at her and turned away from her. But the girl named Casy who fought with her previously came and apologised to Emma. And a another person came behind Casy and said "please forgive her, she did not mean to say that…".

One of the girls among the once who turned away from Emma said "why would you guys apologise, it’s not like you said anything wrong, you only said the true and if she can’t take it, tell her to get out, and bring someone who can really sing". The things started to get interesting but suddenly someone said "what are you doing?, get back to practice" as we turned to look who it is we saw the music teacher standing there by the corridor.

"Who are you both?, you shouldn’t be here" said the teacher, facing me and Kris. We immediately went out and walked towards the staircase. I walked slowly because my ankle was hurt when I tripped earlier.

Near the stairs.

Kris saw me and asked if somthing is wrong. I said my ankle hurts. He asked me to sit down by the stairs and he removed my shoes and aske me if he could massage it, if it could help me. He was really gentle and made me feel at ease. I said "Thank you ". He said "It’s ok, its not a trouble, just tell me if it hurts ". "Of course it hurts, (I laughed ), but I actually thanked you for catching me earlier in the class, if it wasn’t for you it could have been worst than this, but now I’m ok, I can walk by myself ". He paused for a second and he smirked looking down.
