"SIR MAYOR" the guard gasped. The person whom he arrogantly spoke with was none other than the Mayor of the city. He had no word’s to express the fear running in his heart, right at that moment. Tom stood in the rain, looking at him with a gentle smile.

“Sir Mayor, I did not know it was you. The hat your wearing…… that’s the reason I did not recognize you. Please don’t be angry with me, please…” the guard explained, his head low in a way of seeking forgiveness from Tom.

“It’s ok, that’s what your duty is. To not let people think of prison as a picnic spot or something. People would show up any time if it’s not for you. You did your duty rightfully, now let me do mine” Tom spoke gently. He then turned to the guard’s ID “Mr.James. Can I go in”.

James was overwhelmed by Tom’s kindness.

“Sure sir, please” James replied crying.

“Goodman” Tom patted his back and made his way inside the prison.

“Come on where would he go. I want results within 10mins over” Joe yelled at the Transceivers and threw it back at the table “Useless people, they’ve got one job to do and after everything, they mess up. Walking on the wall?? Bullshit.”

“Your men are not lying” Tom came in shaking the water from his head.

“Sir Mayor” Joe straightened up.

“Evening officer” Tom spoke “What’s the current status?”

“Sir, our men are spread all over the prison, there is no way out of here. We will find him within 10mins” Joe spoke.

“Officer, It’s hard work, your job. I understand that” Tom spoke respectfully to Joe “No matter what happens today, your job will never be affected” Tom smiled.

“What do u mean by ‘happens’?” Joe asked with terror.

“Well, where is Uncle Willy, did he arrive here?” Tom asked.

“Yes, he went out searching for Jeff” Joe answered.

“Then I will join him” Tom got up from his chair, rubbing his coat, which was soaked with water.

“But there is no electricity today. And you know some guards are saying he is possessed” Joe stopped Tom on the passage “Is it safe for you to go around the prison alone at this time.”

“I’m not afraid of the dark” Tom chuckled slowly “Anyway carry on with your duty, Officer Joe” Tom smiled and made his way out. His hand deep under the pocket, not a sign of fear in that glowing face.

Tom walked through the passage. No sign of light anywhere. He did not use any flashlight or torch. His footstep was so accurate. It was creating a beat. He looked all around, moving forward. Suddenly he heard something sobbing at the end of the passage. He walked to the corner and put his hands on the shoulder of that thing.

“Who is it?” a flashlight hit Tom’s face “Tom?”

It was Willy.

“Uncle Willy, why are you sitting in this corner?” Tom spoke helping Willy get up.

“They say he is possessed” Willy was shivering, he was filled with fear. Fear of losing his son. “I can’t see my son like that. I would instantly die seeing him in that condition. Please save my child” he begged.

“He will be fine. I’m here, don’t worry” Tom consoled Willy.

“Catch him, don’t let him get away” a distant guard shouting came to their ears.

“Jeff, my son” Willy cried running towards the shouting.

“This is no good” Tom mumbled and took off with great speed.

Joe came running out of his office room holding the transceivers near to his mouth.

“Come in, Suspect running in the yard. I repeat suspect has been detected running in the yard. I want everyone to come to the yard immediately. Over and out” he shouted and started running towards the yard.

Tom ran quickly and matched up to Joe. They both were at the same speed now.

“Is there anything in your yard that can potentially be a life threat” Tom shouted.

“Nothing of that sort. Oh yeah! But there is an old well” Joe shouted back.

“Shit!! That’s the last thing I wanted” Tom whispered increasing his pace.

Tom came running into the yard. The rain had stopped and it was only dripping now. Tom turned all around. He suddenly noticed a human-like creature running like a dog.

“Stop him from going near the well” Tom shouted to the guards.

“TOM….HAHAHA HAAA,” Jeff laughed looking at Tom.

“THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO PUNISH SOMEBODY. STOP THIS AND GO BACK TO YOUR WORLD” Tom shouted at the demon controlling Jeff.

“IT’S THE RANCOUR, TOM. HAHAHA….. THE DAY HAS COME” Jeff shouted.

“THIS RANCOUR WILL ONLY MAKE YOU A SINNER” Tom yelled at the top of his lungs.

“SHUT UP!! HE SHOULD DIE AND HE WILL DIE!!! HAHAHAHA” Jeff shouted laughing. More blood flowed from his mouth.

“THE WELL……HAHAHA” Jeff found the well and started running towards it.

Tom saw him and took off with mighty speed.

“AH HAHAHAHA…… ARE YOU TRYING TO RACE ME? COME ON CATCH ME CATCH ME…… HAHAHA,” Jeff laughed.

Jeff was unbelievably fast. The demon inside him had made his body more powerful. He flew in the air. The guards were shocked and filled with terror.

“DEMON” one of them shouted.

Tom ran drastically towards the well, but yet it felt very far away.

“TOM, DON’T GET IN MY WAY. OR YOU TOO SHALL FACE THE CONSEQUENCES…… HAHAHAHA” Jeff laughed, this time in an angry tone.

Tom kept running. Just when he was about to close the well with a wooden plank, Jeff swayed his arms and Tom went flying in the air, he crashed into the wooden planks in a corner.

“Anybody save him” Tom whispered in a low voice. His back was hurting. He was thrown in the air. He felt weak.

“Sir Mayor” Joe came rushing to him.

Jeff flew to the well and sat down on its wall.

“Jeff, Jeffer Willy, you wasted our lives. You deserve this. Take this as our…………RANCOUR” the demon inside Jeff spoke “HAHAHA”

“No, please spare my son please I beg you. Please don’t kill him. He is our only child” Willy cried running to save Jeff, but with another blow, the demon threw him on a group of guards.

“Nooo” Tom took off again with all the wounds on him. He struggled to run but still, he wanted to save Jeff “Stop you evil” he shouted.

Jeff closed his eyes smiling satisfactorily and whispered “RANCOUR” and started falling.

“NOOOOOO” Tom ran but it was too late.

THUD!!!!!

The body fell down the dried well and life flew away from Jeff’s body. JEFFER WILLY WAS NO MORE!
