Decision

The sparring of the father and son ended, Roger was still in a shock while watching his son walking towards their house. While Tigreal is quite embarrassed on what he did. He went back to his room and continued studying what his mother has taught him.

In this world the strength is measured by the color of the mana pool. The mana pool will glow white after the awakening then it will turn black immediately due to the impurities in the body that was mixed in the mana particles when forming the pool. As the impurities are filtered over time the mana pool becomes purer. The order of the color of mana pool from lowest to the top is Black, Red, Orange, Yellow, Silver then finally the pinnacle the White colored mana pool. Each of the stage is further split into three ranks the lower, middle, and upper ranks. The lighter the mana pool the purer the mana and the stronger the magician.

Tigreal was in a deep concentration in his study when a loud call interrupted him.

“Tigreal.” a loud cry coming from the other room that almost blow Tigreal’s eardrums off.

Then a moment later Angela came in Tigreal’s room holding a ladle on one of her hand and the other was on her waist, she was still wearing her soiled apron. Tigreal look at her mother’s expression and he knew that her mother is quite angry.

“Time for dinner Tig.” Her mother said in a low tone while smiling.

“Okay mom.” Tigreal relied and left the books his reading in a hurry and went to his mother’s side. They went into the dinning room, where Roger is sitting and has a chicken leg stuck on his mouth. Tigreal felt a chill from his side so he lifted his head and saw her mother grim look. Roger also felt the chill and so he looked around and saw her wife smiling at him.

“Mumm! Mon! Mon!” Roger tried to explain while the chicken leg is still on his mouth. Angela slowly walks towards her husband while her husband waves his hands in front of him.

A loud noise can be heard from the Travis house. Tigreal covered his eyes while his father gets a bitting. After sometime the family started eating.

“click! Click!”

Sound the spoon and fork that hits the ceramic plate of Tigreal because he can’t hold them properly.

“Dad, can I go back in my room now?” Tigreal ask his father after he finished his meal.

“Ask your mom.” Roger replied while looking at his son.

“N-“before Angela could finished her words.

“Please mama.”  Tigreal said cutting her mom while he looked at her mother with the cutest expression he can make.

“No, not that look.” Angela said in her thoughts.

“O-Okay you can go.” She eventually agreed.

“But Tig you should sleep early.” She added before her son leaves the room.

“Okay mom.” Tigreal replied with a happy look then he went to his room.

The couple was left in the dinning room and continued eating their meal. Later on, while Angela is cleaning the table.

“I think it’s time we sent Tig into a school to have a proper mentor.” Roger said out of the blue. His words change the rooms atmosphere.

“He just recently turned four Roger.” Angela said.

“Besides told me that you can teach our son.” Angela added.

“Yes, I know that I told you that.” Roger replied.

“I have never expected that Tig is a genius in manipulating mana.” Roger said.

“He has so much potential and I am holding him back.” Roger added.

Roger and Angela are like a two-kingdom clashing in their argument.

“NO! I am not going to let my child leave the house and stay alone in a city that is hundreds of miles away.” Angela exclaimed.

“Cypres is a good city with a high status in the continent.” Roger spoked.

“And I will make sure that my friend will take good care of Tig.” He continued.

While the two is arguing on the dinning room Tigreal on the other hand is meditating. He was disturbed due to the load voices of his parents coming from the other room. He then decided to go and take a look what is happening. When Tigreal entered the dining room.

“Tig, you have a say on this matter as well.” Roger said when he saw his son entered the room.

“Son do you want to go to a big city and enter a school, to have a proper class?” Roger added while pointing at his son.

“Wait, his letting me decide on this matter?” Tigreal ask on his self with a disbelief expression on his face.

“Isn’t it a bit too much for four years old to ask that question.” Tigreal added.

“And seriously they are quarrelling for just a simple matter like this.” He continued.

He sighed in his thought took a deep breath then answered his father.

“Can’t mom and dad come too?” Tigreal asked in a soft voice.

“So that we can meet teacher together.” He added.

After hearing what Tigreal said, the noise was broken then Angela and Roger looked at each other. The silence caused Tigreal to feel nervous.

“Why are they instantly quiet? D-did I say something wrong?” Tigreal nervously asked himself.

“Was my words way to advance for my age?” He said in his thoughts.

The nervousness of Tigreal was dissolved when his mother and father simultaneously let out a loud laugh.

“I guess the thought of going in the city together did not come in to both of our minds.” Roger said while still laughing.

“That’s true.” Angela agreed on her husband.

“I will feel a lot better if I am with Tig when he will be tested and meets his teacher.” Angela added with a smile on her face.

“Then it is settled, we are all going to Cypres City” Roger exclaimed while slamming his left hand on the dinning table due to his excitement.

Tigreal was left in a shocked hearing his parents already preparing for their journey to the city that will most likely to be a month ride.
