the slap

He pulled her to him and whispered in her ear.

"he doesn't want you...anyway I'm way better than him so why don't you let me take you?" he asked.

She pushed him away and ran to Antonio. She was in tears now. She pointed at the guy.

"Antonio...he...tried to touch me.." she said.

"wow...what a liar! she tried to seduce me dude...I told her I didn't want her but she pushed herself on me...and when I rejected her she's doing this drama" he said.

Antonio came up to them and slapped her. She looked at him in shock. He has never raised his hand on her before. He threw his hand around his friend's neck and looked at Angelene.

"he's my friend...he would never do anything like that! stop trying to break my bonds Angelene" he said. But then Angelene felt a hand on her shoulder it was Madelyn, a friend of Antonios'.

"I saw it Antonio! she's telling the truth"

"not you too Madelyn...this bitch sure can manipulate huh" he taunted her.

She was so hurt that she ran away from there with everyone staring at her. Madelyn tried to stop her but couldn't. She called Adriana and told her everything. Adriana was fuming with anger. How dare he treat her like that!

"Gelly....you have to get out of there! I'll come and pick you up stay right there"

"o*sob* ok...*sob*"

Adriana arrived in an hour and took Angelene back to her place. She comforted her best friend and tried to feed her something, but she refused because she was still very hurt.

She couldn't believe that even after all this humiliation, Angelene still loved him! what did he to do her that she was so madly in love with him? And believe it or not, Angelene suffered like this for four years.

Body shaming, commenting on looks, degrading her, humiliating her, physically mistreating her, not trusting her, all this was not even half of how Antonio would torture her.

Because of all this Angelene had very low self-esteem. She hated herself for being like that and she blamed herself for not being loved. She had never received love from anyone other than her best friend.

She had no parents, no friends, no family, nothing. She was an orphan whose parents died when she was very young. But she was always taught to love others and have a golden heart.

She remembered all the times she spent wishing to be loved by someone, anyone. So she decide she would try her best to make Antonio love her. She dialed his number.

"h-hello?"

"what do you want now? break more of my friendships?"

"Antonio....*sob* I'm sorry...I swear I didn't do anything...please forgive me if I hurt your feelings"

"whatever" He hung up.

She cried herself to sleep that night. Adriana sighed in disbelief, how could she still love him after all that he had done? Angelene was really something. She would do anything for love because she needed it so desperately.
