Chapter 03: Problems after being Isekai (03)

“My lady!”

The door bursted open. Luxiana was leisurely reading a book while having a tea. Yesterday, she informed her father about hosting a tea party and she expected to be called today.

“My lady! My lady!”

Luxiana put down the cup and look at Atie. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead. She is trying to catch her breath. Luxiana was looking at Atie blankly.

“Atie, next time don't run just to get here. Now what is it?”

“L-lord... lord Arthur wants young lady to go see him.”

“Then help me dress up, I can't let father wait.” Luxiana stood up and close the book before putting it in the drawer.

“Father, I hope you are doing well.” Luxiana bowed gracefully while greeting his father.

“Lux, you know I don't really care about the etiquettes when where at home, right? You're making your father uncomfortable.” Arthur smiled while sitting on a couch, he gesture the couch in front of him.

“Father, at least I should pay respect to you once in a while. Besides, I want something from you that's why I'm being like this.” Luxiana smiled sweetly as she walk over and sat down on the couch.

The servant poured a hot tea into the cups on the table. They place the desserts on the table before leaving the Luxiana and her father alone.

“Lux, you want to hold a tea party next month?” Arthur got right on the business.

‘He's a straight forward person.’

Luxiana was silent for a while, thinking the things she need to say. A memory of yesterday suddenly flashed in her mind. Atie, Luxiana's servant, notice some changes toward Luxiana. Maybe others noticed the changes of Luxiana these past few days but kept silent about it.

“Father, who said it was just a tea party?” Luxiana smiled sweetly like a daughter who was spoiled by her father.

“Huh? Was I wrong?” her father was confused, looking at her daughter with confused eyes.

Arthur Ginemoux like to spoil his second daughter than the rest of his children. He gave the best of the best to her. Maybe because his second daughter was born from the former marchioness, but the truth is he want to give the best to his daughter because his daughter resembles the former marchioness.

‘I just plan to hold a simple tea party but because of yesterday's events... my original plan was now ruined.’

‘Since my original plan is now ruined let's also ruin someone else at the tea party instead.’

“Father, someone gave me an interesting book on my birthday last time. It's all about different kind of teas from different country.”

“And?”

Luxiana's eyebrow slightly twitch. She maintained her smile but her eyes are carefully observing Arthur. In the novel, the relationship between them was close to being strangers. Even though Arthur cares about Luxiana, he should not know much about the real Luxiana Ginemoux.

‘Did he notice something? Let's stop overthinking things.’

“What I want is to hold a grand tea party where I can invite the first prince and the eight princess. Father, I want to use tea party just to see the first prince.” Luxiana calmly said that to her father like it was normal.

Of course it was normal. The real Luxiana was head over heels for the first prince and she would use every chances she could get just to get his attention.

‘Using the first prince as an excuse for the tea party is the best option.’

‘It's not like I can say that I'm going to screw some noble families at the tea party.’

Arthur didn't say anything and just stare at his daughter. Luxiana, on the other hand was getting anxious at this silent atmosphere. She need to be careful, she only realize that she can't act too differently from Luxiana. After reading novels in the past, she learned that the one who act to differently from before will cause a misunderstanding and even involve into a bigger mess.

‘But I already act differently two times in a row. If I act like Luxiana all of a sudden then...’

“Now I get it, you are still head over heels to the first prince. Maybe he is also the cause why you are acting so differently. Don't worry, Luxiana, your father will do anything to get the first prince for you.” Arthur's eyes are full determination.

‘This is what I mean about misunderstanding. Luxiana's father, please don't do anything stupid.’

Luxiana awkwardly smiled at Arthur's determined eyes. She slowly move her gaze away from Arthur. There is another thing she need to discuss with her father. It is important than hosting a tea party she mentioned earlier.

“Father, there is another thing I want to ask.”

“Go on.”

‘It might be weird that I suddenly want to meet someone... but after the meeting I will pretend to be sick for a while.’

“I want to meet someone.”

“Someone?” Luxiana nodded. She clasped her hands together.

“Yes, I want to meet the eldest daughter of Count Lheazer.”

“Why do you want to meet her?”

Luxiana was thinking that she doesn't really need to a specific answer to the question of her father. The former Luxiana would just gave a very terrible excuse and her father would accept it as like that.

“I just want to meet her. I want to go personally so that I can also visit Lady Katte and Lady Ginalda.” Luxiana smiled innocently while looking at her father.

“But going there personally...”

Luxiana eye's sharpened for a moment before returning to normal. Luxiana's father was probably troubled by Count Claire. Count Claire probably offered a proposal to Marquis Ginemoux already.

‘They are fast. More importantly that proposal was actually a marriage proposal for Luxiana's older brother.’

‘Damn that Parmys wench. She is too obsess to Luxiana's older brother!’

Luxiana had already a pile of problems she needed to clear as soon as possible. She carefully choose the problems that will bring calamity to her family and carefully think of a plan to get away from it, or in other words for that cause of the problem to suffer from his own problem.

She will do anything to save her family from the brink of falling apart. She will not hesitate to use extreme methods. If her plans fail she already had a backup plan so that she won't lose.

‘In every isekai romance, the villain who got reincarnated again became extremely sly and doesn't trust anyone.’

Applying the schemes and strategy she learned from reading a bunch of isekai novels and the things she know that will soon happen in this world. She come up with some plans that will save her and the Ginemoux household. And now she is trying to execute one of her plans.

“Why, father? Is there any problem?”

‘First step to execute the plan is to act like what the former owner of that body do. In my case, that is to sit pretty and let Luxiana's charm affect Arthur. In short, act like spoiled a brat.’

“No, but Count Claire—”

“But I really want to meet her. Father, can't I?”

Luxiana made a disappointing and sad expression at the same time. The truth is Victoria will be disappointed if her first plan wouldn't work.

While Luxiana was looking down, her father Arthur, was looking at her with sadness in his eyes. He sigh and close his eyes before opening them again. Although Count Claire will make a fuss about Luxiana personally visiting the Count Lheazar's daughter. It doesn't matter to him. He just want to make his daughter happy.

“If that's what you want then go. Just make sure to comeback safely, do you understand?”

Luxiana smiled so brightly after hearing that response from her father.

“Of course, father.”

Blankly staring at the scenery, countless thoughts filled Luxiana's mind. She even forgot to drink her tea nor focus on the book she had been reading. She just stared blankly while her mind was trying to come up with a new plan.

‘First step was already accomplished. Next step... who should I bring with me when I go to Count Lheazer's residence?’

Marquis Ginemoux have four children, 2 men and 2 women. The eldest is a man, followed by Luxiana, then her younger sister, lastly is her youngest brother. Each of them had different characteristics and they are not really close to each other.

‘Base on the novel, among the siblings there is one that is really troublesome because of the attitude.’

“Atie.”

“Yes, my lady.”

“How's my younger sister doing?”

“Young lady Helena? My lady, did you forget that she was punished for insulting the noble ladies at the party?”

Luxiana was silent. It was because the third and fourth children of Marquis Ginemoux wasn't mentioned in the novel. They are the unfortunate extras who didn't have any scenes in the novel and of course they died earlier than anyone else.

“Father punish her? I don't know about that.”

‘How could I know when it wasn't mentioned in the novel.’

“It is probably because you are unconscious when it happened, my lady.” Atie explained and Luxiana just nodded.

Minutes past before Luxiana spoke again.

“Dress me up, we're going to visit my younger sister.”
