Love is in the air

Ella stared at him and didn't know the right word to say.One thing was sure though,she was surprised.He held her hand.

"I really do and-" she withdrew her hand from his and shook his head.

"Ryan do you know what you're saying? you-"

"I do Ella,am not stupid. Can't you see that I love you?"

"It's not about seeing,it's about feeling" Ella said subconsciously and not meaning anything else in her heart but he chose to see it the other way round.

"So what are you saying? that I should make you feel it?" he chuckled and Ella and tried to explain.

"No listen,I meant-"

"Don't say another word,else I'll kiss you in front of everyone"he said,placing his finger on her lips.Ella shook her head vigorously and he removed his finger from her lips.He smiled at her and before she knew it he took her plate if salad and began to feed her after pulling his chair beside her.

" What are you doing? people are watching for goodness sake!" she whispered loudly

"I'll kiss you" he said,looking at her lips. She shook her head again.She had no choice so she had to let him feed her.And that was the moment Jasmine, Claire and Natalia chose to walk in.Ryan was using his finger to clear a debris on her lips when Claire came and pulled her away.

"Hey! why that?" Ryan stood and faced Claire

"Well,we were looking for her and didn't expect her to be here" Claire shot back,hatred written all over her.Jasmine and Natalia giggled like little kids.

"I got her first before you did" Ryan responded more calmly

"I don't care,am taking her with me right now" Claire was getting furious

"No you're not"

"yes I will!"

"Listen Ryan,there's no need to argue.I'll GI with her." Ella said and winked at him pleadingly and he glanced at Claire before slowly nodding and Ella smiled at him while Claire pulled me along and when Ella looked back,she saw Natalia and Jasmine taking selfie with Ryan.They entered the class,Ella being pulled along like a cabbage truck.

"Ella!"

"Claire!" Ella shouted back and Claire stamped her palm on her forehead and Ella sat on a desk.

"What is the point of being friends if we can't understand each other?" Ella lamented thoughtfully and Claire faced her

"Exactly Ella! please listen to me" she gripped her hand

"Ryan is a politician's son.Your class and his class are different. People like him can't have only you in his life"

Ouch! that hurt,Ella thought, she just bent her head low and didn't utter a word

"Having numerous girlfriends is a must for him.El,u don't want you to get hurt"

Ella nodded,but it was just too late to go back now. Very very late.

"Am sorry" Claire said and Ella just nodded and retreated to her seat when the bell rang.She was having one more class so she carried her bag.She wasn't herself anymore and even if she didn't want to admit...Claire was telling the truth.Reason why he didn't want to let her know that he was a politician.

That didn't even bother her.What bothered her was the fact that she was falling...and way to quick.

Despite being a politician's son he was still living among them,trying to interact.Still they say he is a flirt,Ella thought angrily,he's this he's that.She didn't know what to believe anymore.She felt so dull and...hurt by Claire's words which were the simple truth.But earlier she'd told Ryan that she preffered a truth to a lie...she guessed she didn't know how much truths hurt especially when it's the opposite of what you want.

"Miss Ella Stephen" a teacher called

"Miss Stephen!"

"oh...sir am so sorry" Ella stood up quickly and apologized.

"Well..I want you to excuse us since you are not and not willing to be part of my class" the teacher was saying "Please do not pose as a distraction"

"I wasn't distracting." Ella said to the bearded man.

"Door's that way" he pointed and Ella carried her bag and books and walked out,not wanting to stare at the seas of heads turning to glance at me.Especially Ryan's and Claire's.

Ella was somewhat glad..she wanted to be alone,she walked faraway from the class and sat down on one of the metal chairs placed to lay on the wall.She covered her face with her palm and didn't know when the tears came down.She felt a warm hand hold her shoulders .She quickly wiped her tears and didn't expect to see Liam,although she didn't know who she was expecting.

"Go on,cry it all out"

And he rested her head on his chest and she cried.She didn't know Ryan had come looking for her and had spotted her on Liam's chest,he didn't seen her crying though so he left in anger.

"Thanks Liam." Ella said as she sniffed

"You know I'll always be there" he replied and smiled.Ella smiled back.Liam's one of the guys who sincerely loves her.She knows he does, he'd always reminded used her that if she was ready,he was too.But she just didn't know why she doesn't love him.He is pretty cool and handsome too.

"You can tell me,what's the problem?"

She'd always felt free conversing with him but today she wasn't going to because it's probably her being in love with a guy who loves her too but circumstances can't actually let them be together so she shook her head.

"Just family problems"

"Family problems? Stella right? Giving you a hard time isn't she?"

"Yeah" Ella answered and stood up.She didn't want to go further

"I'll deal with her for you" he was about leaving when she held him back.

"Hey,are you kidding? just let it be" She smiles and almost laughed. He sat and smiled back

"That's what I wanted to see.That your beautiful beautiful smile"

"Thanks for being here,Liam" he held her hand and she felt uncomfortable

"If it were a guy who made you cry,Ella.I swear I'd make him pay" he was really serious now

"Liam! Where're you bro!?" that was Charlie-Claire's boyfriend

"Gotta go.Sure you're okay?" he asked while standingand Ella nodded

"Yeah,thanks again" Ella then remembered it was closing and still needed to serve her pu ishment.So after Liam had blown a kiss tibher and left she walked down the hall to the ladies and gents and she met Ryan there. He didn't look like someone who was happy to receive her.But once he saw her,he dropped the brush and walked quickly to her,she began moving back afraid he might have lost it and could do anything silly

"Where have you been?"
