Chapter 5 Awakening

Sophie screamed as the creature, a dark brown wolf, leaped towards her.

Lucie pulled her towards her in time and started running with the wolf hot on their heals. The wolf caught at Sophie's long over coat and pulled it tearing it.

Tears streamed down Sophie's eyes as she ran. The wolf hit Lucie on the back, and she fell due to the force.

Lucie said "Run, Sophie!"

Sophie was reluctant to go. The wolf was ready to lung at her but Lucie caught its leg, making it trip.

Lucie got up and stood in front of Sophie protectively.

Lucie's breath came in pants and her heart kept beating like crazy. Then a voice said 'Dont be afraid. I am with you. Call me.'

She knew the voice in her head. She looked at the brown wolf glaring at her.

The voice said again 'Call me.'

And Lucie called.

Lucie twisted in the most weird ways. She felt her bones break and reattach. She was in agony and she screamed at the pain. And just like that the pain was gone.

She looked at the brown wolf who was staring and said 'Get the hell away from her before I break your bones.'

The wolf whimpered and looked at Sophie. Lucie said again 'Scram!'

The wolf ran away. Lucie looked at Sophie who was staring. Lucie too felt weird. As if she was in her body but not in her body. As she was conscious but at the same time there was someone else.

Then the familiar voice in her head said 'Thats because of me. We are one. You will get used to it.'

Lucie said to her fur ball 'I am actually a wolf?!'

The fur ball said 'Yeah.'

Lucie looked at Sophie who was still staring. She carefully went towards her trying not to scare her.

Sophie seemed to snap out of it and came running towards Lucie, now a wolf, and hugged her. Lucie was surprised. She nuzzeled at her, trying to comfort her.

Sophie kept on crying and thanking her.

After a while she calmed down and said "My Lucie is so beautiful. Didn't I tell you before that you are actually the most beautiful? I am right. My Lucie you look beautiful and perfect."

The fur ball bowed with Lucie inside her. Sophie giggled.

After she was done admiring, Sophie said "Can you change back? We should get going, or else we might get caught."

Lucie nodded and asked her fur ball 'How do I change back?'

Fur ball said 'Just calm down and let go. Imagine your human form and let go.'

Lucie did as she said and changed back.

Lucie hugged Sophie once again and they both went back to their tents. They laid down and fell asleep almost immediately.

Next morning, Lucie woke up to noises. When she opened here eyes, she saw Asher looming over her. She looked at him confused.

He said "Do you plan to sleep till tomorrow?"

Lucie sat up straight and saw that everyone else were taking down their tents. She yawned and got up to get ready. Sophie was sleeping like a log.

Abriel's girlfriend literally pulled her out of the tent, kept shaking her until she was totally awake.

Sophie and her fought for a long time while they got ready. It was so funny to watch for all of them.

After they went back to the resort, they decided to stay in the room.

Lucie called her dad and told him what happened. Nathan said "Be ready, I will be there in an hour."

Sophie and Lucie packed up everything.

As they waited Lucie said "You didn't seem very shocked when I changed Soph"

Sophie smiled and looked at her. She said "I know what you are thinking and it's true. I know about were wolves. My mom is a half wolf. And Aunt Millie and her family all are wolves."

Lucie was surprised and said "So William really is a little puppy!"

Sophie laughed and said "Yes."

Lucie asked "But how am I a wolf?"

Sophie said "Your parents are wolves too. That too from a strong bloodline."

Lucie was shocked beyond anything. Sophie said "Your dad will tell you everything."

Lucie nodded. They chatted for a while, until Nathan came.

Sophie said "I will miss you resort. God please give me an opportunity to come here again."

Lucie and Nathan chuckled shaking their heads.

They went to Aunt Millie's house. When they entered, they saw a lot people sitting into he living room.

Lucie was surprised to see her grandparents. She went and hugged them, happy to see them.

They all exchanged formalities and made Sophie and Lucie sit in the middle as they all sat Infront of them. Like they are doing an investigation.

The kids were all sitting to the side.

Lucie and Sophie both, narrated what happened and how Lucie changed.

They were surprised and looked at Sophie with worry. She really was scared to her wits.

Lucie's grandfather, Mason, said "We belong to a strong bloodline Lucie. A noble bloodline. But we have gotten weaker in the past years. Most pups are unable to change. We thought same would happen to you. But you surprised us by changing. By Sophie's description I can understand that your wolf is very strong. That is a bigger surprise because no girl has ever been strong in our bloodline after she died."

Lucie asked "After who died?"

Mason said " The pride of our bloodline, a former Luna, a queen. After she sacrificed herself, no girl was ever born strong. But it seems you are quite strong."

Lucie smiled awkwardly and said "I am not strong "

Mason laughed but didn't say anything.

Aunt Millie said "We too are nobles but just not as powerful as your family. All of us are wolves in this room."

Lucie nodded and smiled at her.

She looked at William and Aline who were looking back at her. She gave a small polite smile and turned away. She really wanted to see their wolves.

Her fur ball said 'Yes, I want to see them too.'

But Lucie didn't want to inconvenience them and so she didn't ask.

Her grandmother, Isabelle, said "I want to see your wolf Luce."

Sophie immediately replied "No. Why?"

They all said "Huh?"

Sophie blushed and said " She is too pretty, I don't to anyone you see her."

She took a protective stance in front of Lucie. Everyone chuckled at her cuteness.

Lucie said "It's okay Soph, I want to see how they look too."

Sophie clearly wanted to protest but kept silent. Lucie patted her head and stood up.

Lucie said "Alright. Get up all of you. I want to see your wolves too."

Everyone instantly got up at the same time, surprising themselves. Lucie didn't seem to notice this as she went out with Sophie bickering.

She didn't notice her grandfather's smirk as she went.

Carey and Noah had similar colour of wolves, grey and light brown mix.

Matthew was biscuit colour. Aline was like her mom, grey and white.

William was biscuit colour like his dad. But his wolf looked more handsomer. Weirdly.

Nathan was white and had little grey.

Catherine couldn't change due to reasons. Sophie still didn't have her first transformation yet. Since Sophie's father is not known, it's hard to say, if she will change.

It was Lucie's turn. She called her Kirk before and changed. Everyone looked surprised and mesmerized, including William who always had a poker face.

Lucie felt awkward but since her fur ball is in control, she took care of everything.

Lucie was a pure white wolf, with hazel eyes. She was absolutely stunning.

Catherine came and hugged her and said " My daughter is the most beautiful".

Fur ball nuzzeled at her first while and

She changed back to her human form.

Everyone praised her that she was so beautiful. Lucie blushed at all the praises.

Millie said "But it's a new that nothing is similar to her wolf form."

Catherine glared at her and said "You haven't seen many wolves then Millie."

Lucie felt sad. She knew she looked ugly. She was nothing compared to them all. Though she was grateful he mom supported her. But it's the truth. She wasn't good looking.

Fur ball said 'You are me and I am you. We both are one. That means we both are equally pretty. Never feel inferior.'

Lucie smiled at her fur ball's support and felt better. Yes. They were one. She had such a good friend, her own soul mate.
