Wicked is a musical fantasy film based on the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. The movie is set in the Land of Oz and tells the story of Elphaba, a smart, fiery, and misunderstood young woman with emerald green skin. Elphaba, played by Cynthia Erivo, meets Galinda, a beautiful and popular blonde witch, at Shiz University. Despite their initial rivalry, they become roommates and eventually friends. As they navigate their time at university, they become embroiled in a battle between good and evil, with the Wizard of Oz manipulating events from behind the scenes. The movie features a star-studded cast, including Ariana Grande as Galinda, and a range of memorable songs, including "Defying Gravity," "Popular," and "For Good."
