Lewis goes to bed agitated. He is unsure of his feelings but what was mostly known is that he felt betrayed. Lewis did not get why he felt betrayed. The only time he felt betrayed was when he was five years. Thirteen years before this event, he had a friend named Esau. Lewis met Esau on a bridge and they have been friends ever since. One day, Esau told Lewis to wait for him not knowing Esau was about to sell him to human traffickers. When Lewis realized, it was already too late and in his regrets a guy who looked so much like Marcus saved him.
As Lewis tries to put the broken pieces of his heart together, the lady stopped kissing Marcus and was just about to leave when Marcus snaps back to reality. Marcus pinned her down, drags her to the silver bridge and desired answers. The lady was silence and ignorant until Marcus showed her his true side. He summons a black saber with glowing red decor and lounge the saber at the lady.
The lady did not understand, she thought this guy was a commoner. Marcus smiled and tied up the lady. Marcus vaguely told her he was the lady’s worst nightmare. The lady thought he was joking when Marcus said that. Marcus then introduced himself as Duke Marcus Asquith, the most feared man in the world as we know. The lady immediately regretted her decision and asks that this should be some kind of mistake.
Marcus face darkens and he begins to grin, these were the signs of his madness according to Clark. The lady knew that she was done for. She tries wholeheartedly to escape from his grasp but it even made Marcus tighten his grip.
They were three phases; phase one, phase two and phase three. The first phase makes him to gain extra superhuman strength. The second phase makes him to lose his senses. The third phase makes him lose control over his body.
Marcus eyes turns from purple to orange telling you he just entered his first stage. Although he still has full control of his body, he can not understand what anyone says. He asks the lady to explain why she was kissing which chased away his sweet gentle Lewis. The lady explained that she was ordered to do so. The lady continues telling him she did not know Lewis was taken.
Marcus did not buy what the lady said so he immediately stabs her in the heart. Marcus snaps back to reality to see her corpse on the floor. Marcus casually carries the corpse and drops her into the river. Marcus cleans all the bloodstains to hide his guilt. He rushes back to the mansion before anyone could realize what had happen. He gets the mansion frustrated.
Meanwhile, Lewis had plans as Sarah chats Lewis to make sure he is fine. Lewis answers.
Sarah: Hey, Lewis how are you doing?
Lewis: Fine, why did you ask?
Sarah: Oh, can we talk first thing tomorrow.
Lewis: Uhm, sure but is it before going to work or as I enter the café
Sarah: As you enter the café
Lewis: Ok, let’s meet. See you tomorrow.
Sarah: See you soon, Lewis.
Lewis gently offs his phone, puts it on his bed drawer and lays on the bed. Lewis tries to get why Sarah text him. Lewis also tries to understand how Sarah got his number. Lewis was lost in thoughts and was about to sleep. Lewis chat the manager telling he might not be around for three weeks.
For three weeks, Marcus constantly visits the café to realize each time Lewis is not around. Marcus felt he was the problem that is why Lewis has not returned. Marcus discuss the issue with Devin in which Devin told Marcus that it might not be the case, Lewis might be in danger.
But on Lewis view, he went to the kingdom of Fresto to stay with his parents with his parents for a while. Lewis just wanted to cool down from what he witness but Marcus had already started believing Lewis was in danger so he called one of the best knights in the kingdom to search for Lewis and bring him to his mini house. Marcus plan was for Lewis to think they wanted to sell Lewis off to nobles and at the dire moment Marcus saves the day.
Devin tried to understand why he wants to do that. Marcus explains the banquet is upcoming and he wants to carry Lewis along but there was another reason under the shed which was Marcus feelings for Lewis were growing stronger.
Lewis returns from his trip in the late afternoon to see Sarah already waiting for him
