This story was from a part timer student who experience horror in his shifts at the convenience store

“Midnight Customer”
---
It was a humid Thursday night.
Marco, a 19-year-old college student, was working his part-time shift at a small convenience store located just a short walk from the old provincial hospital. It wasn’t his usual schedule, but one of the regulars called in sick—so he filled in.
At first, the night went like any other. Customers came and went, the humming of refrigerators filled the silence, and the soft chime of the store bell rang in predictable rhythm.
But past 11:40 PM, the area fell eerily quiet. No customers. No noise outside. Even the cicadas had stopped. The silence made Marco uneasy, so he kept glancing at the fisheye mirror mounted above the aisles—used to catch shoplifters, but tonight, it felt more like a warning system.
Then, at 11:58 PM, the bell rang.
The door slid open.
A woman entered.
Marco looked up. She moved slowly, almost too gracefully—like her feet weren’t quite pressing on the floor. She wore a pale dress that clung to her skin like it was soaked, and her hair was long, tangled, and dripping.
She didn’t say a word.
She began browsing the shelves, picking up food in calm silence.
Marco kept his eye on the fisheye mirror—and that’s when he noticed it.
She was too pale. Her limbs looked stiff, unnatural. Her head moved like it was being tilted by something behind her, not by muscle. He tried to convince himself she was just sick… but his gut twisted with a warning.
And then—
He sniffed the air.
Rot.
Wet, rotting meat.
The woman placed her items on the counter without making a sound.
Marco stood still.
He looked up at her face properly for the first time.
No eyes.
A jaw dislocated, hanging too low.
And skin so grey it looked like she'd been soaked in river water for days.
Then he realized—she wasn’t walking.
She was floating.
Not hovering high—just enough to not disturb the floor. Her toes never touched the tiles. Her body moved forward with no effort, gliding slowly across the air. The closer she got, the colder the store became. Marco felt cold of sweat roll down his neck as his fingers froze in place.
And just as she reached the counter—
The bell rang again.
The door opened.
A real customer entered—a man in a delivery uniform.
The woman vanished.
In an instant.
Like she had never been there.
Marco dropped to the floor, fainted from the shock.
The customer rushed over to help, and later called for security. When the footage was reviewed, it showed the store door opening at 11:58 PM, and Marco talking to no one. He reached for the register. Nodded. Laughed nervously. Trembled.
But the camera saw no woman at all.
Only the door opening.
And Marco breaking down in fear.
---
Locals believe she was a patient from the hospital, who passed away at midnight while her family lined up at that very store to buy food and medicine. She never got what she needed.
Now, they say she returns near midnight. Quiet. Wandering. Always looking for something she never got in life.
And if you ever work a night shift there—
Don’t stare too long at the fisheye mirror.
You might see her watching you.
Even if she isn’t there.

This story was from an experience of a student in our campus. the footage wasn't made public but most workers in that convenience store we interviewed agreed that they have heard and saw the footage especially the manager/security they said that on frame 412, just before Marco faints, the fisheye mirror briefly showed a smudged white shape behind the counter. No face.Just a blur, like fog on a mirror. Marco has now graduated from our school but his eerie story remained
