Waking up to the rays of sunlight that peak into my room, I turned around to stop the alarm of my phone that has been ringing nonstop since 20mintues. I stretched my arms up into the air and got down of the bed. I decided to take a cooling shower. «knock»…
“What if I opened the door and I was naked hm?”. she said in an amusing tone.
Calix stood outside her bedroom for the past 15minutes contemplating if he should knock or not, after all he did have her outfit she order for today's event.
When he finally did, she open; she was drenched with water as if she just stepped out of the shower. Her hair still wet fell over her shoulders in the most beautiful way as her amusing face that morning as she checked him out.
Then he responded “I had a nice dream that started just like this?“ Serena rolled her eyes at his statement.
“Anyway you look good in this fancy new attire“ she said as she looked him up and down. Serena grab the dress and told him to wait for her downstairs as she prepares.
Serena wore the custom made white dress, it was an elegant mid length dress that fit all her curves perfectly and that unique detailed arm length that fit her, she paired the look with a black heel with the red bottom and she curled the ends of her hair, matching pairs of jade earrings and necklace not forgetting her soft makeup look.
Calix waited patiently beside the SUV, from a distance a pair of clacking noise drew his attention and the other boys surrounding the outside mansion entrance. Serena walked down gracefully down the stairs with each of her steps been admired by calix.
«She was looking exquisite in all corners as she approached him, he thought to himself she looked more like a woman than a teenager when she had this confident attitude on».
”If you keep looking at me like that I may do something we might regret cal?“, she taunted while staring at him.
He took her bag and open the front seat for her. As she entered he noticed he wasn't the only one captivated by her beauty as the other men also shot sneaky glances at her until she entered the car.
They drove off, some moments later they arrived at the corporation of her dad. She had some business here today, as calix opened the door for her.
She steps down, and walks inside the building. Immediately some staffs notice her and mummered to themselves as they greeeted her politely as she walked past them.
Then a blonde hair guy approaches Serena, he gently took her hand and kissed her knuckles while grinning, he was dressed in in green suit that matched his eyes.
”Lovely meeting the famous Serena here today as gorgeous as always” in a flirty tone
“Logan that's sweet and all but let's get down to business“ she smiled but her tone was commanding.
”Ofcourse beautiful this way” he said leading Serena ahead to the room were all the other shareholders and managers were waiting for her. Logan opened the door for her but block calix from entering.
“ He's my bodyguard, wherever I,go he goes ” she uttered while glancing at logan.
“Understood”logan gave short nod, Calix entered the roomtaking his position silently beside Serena, who had already made herself comfortable in the chair at the head of the long conference table—the one reserved for the boss.
With calm authority, she greeted the board members, her tone poised and unwavering. “Good afternoon. I’m Serena, and as of today, I am the new CEO of this corporation.”
A wave of murmurs rippled through the room as the board members exchanged uneasy glances. Disbelief hung thick in the air. Some of the men in the room mummered about the sudden change.
One man stood up and asked “ This's not was we signed up for we weren't expecting a young teenager to be the next CEO, aren't you sure that the chairman made a mistake ”,when he said that, some of the shareholders nodded in approval.
“Are opposing my father's word?“ she asked in a menacing tone with a smile on her face. The man quietly sat down, The murmurs began to fade—until another voice cut through the quiet like a knife.
A younger board member scoffed loudly. “This is ridiculous. What does a spoiled little girl know about running a company? Did Daddy promise you a throne to play dress-up in?” he said in an annoying tone.
Gasps echoed. A few men stiffened. Even the walls seemed to hold their breath. Serena turned towards his direction and smiled softly but something about that smile was unsettling.
The man blinked, caught off guard by her unexpected reaction.
“Cute,” she said quietly, then from nowhere a bullet was shot through his head,the shot was sharp, fast, and final, the man slumped forward, lifeless—blood blooming across his crisp white shirt.The room erupted in chaos. Chairs screeched, the men faces were filled with horror of the unsettling sight they just witnessed.
But Calix remained still, lowering the silenced gun he’d drawn and fired without hesitation while Serena didn't flinch at their panicked gazes.
She rose slowly, wiping off some little drop of blood that touched her hand,“Let that be a reminder,” she declared coldly, her voice cutting through the panic. “Disrespect is not part of this board’s culture.
She casual left the room after telling logan to take of the body by disposing it where necessary. She took the elevator to the top building to explore her new office. The was a silence between she and calix that was immediately broken by her as they stepped into the massive office.
”Isn't perfect to fit all my stuffs in here?“ She blunted out while exploring the spacious room. Then she swiftly turned towards his direction.
''Are you absent minded again?”
“Serena you have really changed me” He said those words in an unusual calm tone but it hit her harder than she expected. She didn't muttered a word-what does he mean by that?
But one think is for sure, he filled their gap and glared softly at her. “I will serve you as much as kill for you no one else Serena”. Serena was left speechless, for someone so adapted to killing his eyes were remarkably soft.
“Let's go home” was all she could mummered softly. The ride was quiet not because of the unfazed atmosphere that happen at the office, but because she was lost in. Her own thoughts of calix opened confession. He was never like this, she never knew what he thought nor how he already understood her well.
Finally arriving the house, she quietly entered the house in her gloomy sour expression on her faace.
«Serena don't you miss your father!»
Then there was that familiar voice. the voice called softly from the living room.She walked forward — then broke into a run.He opened his arms just in time as she flung herself into them, wrapping her arms around him tightly like a little girl again.
Older, tired, his once-black hair now streaked with silver. But his eyes… those gentle,reddish eyes they hadn’t changed at all he sat on his automatic wheel chair. He patted her head softly as she looked up to him.
“Papi?” she whispered, breathless. «Finally you're back»
