It all started when pirates king Gold D Roger was captured and executed by Marine forces and his will is carried out by a boy named monkey D Luffy who eats a devil fruit named Gum Gum No mi which grants his body a rubber like feeling but take out his swimming capabilities through lifetime and in his childhood Luffy inspired by shank's story and aim to become king of the pirates someday and by seeing Luffy spirit shanks gives him his straw hat and dare him to return it when he gets a good popularity in pirates community.
