Yoru burns written messages because of a boy,Kage, that told her to do so in a dream. This helps her cope with the tragic and miserable life she has. When she realized that she has no purpose in this world she tries to kill herslf. Only to be saved by a boy in her class who was actually the boy in her dream. She goes on adventures with Kage to help him return to his world in which he is one of the Children of the Night, a group of people with unique skills and abilities. They are considered mythical beings in both Yoru and Kage's world.
