This is a wonderful old vintage book.
A Plucky Girl was written by Mrs. L.T. Meade.

The copyright date is 1900, by George W. Jacobs & Company.
It was published by Hurst and Company Publishers in New York.
There are several writings in the book, see photos. I especially love the bequeathment!
This book is over 100 years old. And it does have condition issues. There appears to be silverfish damage, damaged from binding tape and some damage to the binding. But it is still intact, and the cover illustration is such a fantastic depiction of art nouveau style!
